Barb,

Thanks so much of your care.  It looks like you did some legwork for me.

Things have settled down now.  It has been and up and down cycle for months

now.  When I spoke to my doc last week, I didn't tell her about this issue, but

I did discuss my other symptoms with her.  The feeling cruddy, low body temp,

etc. and she suggested I back off on the shots.  I did a shot yesterday and I'm

going to wait one week before the next one and see how it goes.  She ran some

thyroid tests (again) and I'll hear back by Tuesday is my guess.

Phil's idea has one flaw for me; when my estrogen goes up I bloat and my

breathing gets labored (from edema).  I also get sweats and some hot flashes.

I

really don't like it.

Bill

Xanax users have reported priapism as a side effect.

http://www.ehealthme.com/symptom/priapism

This lists multiple drugs that cause this. You may need the generic name of the

drugs you listed below, cause those aren't listed.

Ask your doc what to do. You should not ignore this symptom.

Hmmm.. I noticed the Xanax-Priapism stats show this never happens in females

(Males 100%, Females 0%).  Hmmm...

Well, that's good to hear!  My wife hasn't ever complained about her prostate

either.  Women have enough issues to deal with; that's why God didn't give them

a prostate :)

BTW - you mentioned that it would be hard to work, distracting.  To clarify,

it's not an issue 24 hours a day.  That would be really difficult... it's been

an issue in the middle of night and in the morning.

Well that would further point to the Xanax, cause you said you take it at night.

I'm guessing you're hypothyroid and treating that will help a lot of your other

symptoms.

Thanks again Barb,

I have been on Xanax for yrs. over 20 but a very low dose most of the time taken

at bedtime .25mgs.

Never had a problem I did notice my libido went way up taking this CoQ10 for my

leg pain from statin drugs.

And the feeling is a lot stronger this supplement helps the nerves in the body

and brain and is great for ones heart.

You said " when my estrogen goes up I

bloat and my

breathing gets labored (from edema). I also get sweats

and some hot flashes. " This is from having levels of Estradiol to high. There

is a sweet stop you need to find with them levels. Lowing TRT to control this

is not good and for most will not work.

Taking something to keep Estradiol down is a work in progress you need to keep

track of what your taking and how your feeling.

Levels of estradiol never stay the same they are all over the place. I go by

how I feel taking Arimidex to control this if I feel like you said above I take

more Arimidex to bring levels down.

I just did that this morning I took some extra because I was feeling my levels

were to high. Once you have this under control you can feel better in a few

hrs. of taking some extra.

Going to low is easy you can't get it up taking Viagra. When this happens I

just stop taking the med until my wood works again.

How quickly does the Arimdex act on the E?  Do you feel the E going down within

hours or is it more like 24+ hours?

You said " when my estrogen goes up I

bloat and my

breathing gets labored (from edema). I also get sweats

and some hot flashes. " This is from having levels of Estradiol to high. There is

a sweet stop you need to find with them levels. Lowing TRT to control this is

not good and for most will not work.

Taking something to keep Estradiol down is a work in progress you need to keep

track of what your taking and how your feeling.

Levels of estradiol never stay the same they are all over the place. I go by how

I feel taking Arimidex to control this if I feel like you said above I take more

Arimidex to bring levels down.

I just did that this morning I took some extra because I was feeling my levels

were to high. Once you have this under control you can feel better in a few hrs.

of taking some extra.

Going to low is easy you can't get it up taking Viagra. When this happens I just

stop taking the med until my wood works again.

Once your on it for about 5 weeks it works very fast I can stop a panic attack

from high E2 levels taking extra Arimidex in about an hour.

Dr. says it takes about 5 weeks for your body to stablize on it. Until

then I see it get men down from say 40 pg/ml to 20 in less then 2 weeks taking

..25 mgs every 3 days. I don't feel you want it to come down to fast you can go

right past the sweet spot and end up to low.
