Hey Jim,

A lot of people recommend taking your last dose right before your head hits

the pillow. You could also add in a high protein/fat snack to that as well

to keep your blood sugar levels regulated while you sleep.

With your dosing schedule starting so early, I'm not sure how that would

work though.

Also, thyroid hormones are very important for serotonin production, hence

the depression that many hypothyroid patients experience. So, once you get

your thyroid optimized, your serotonin levels should come up.

Mike,

Thanks for your response. Sounds good for the thyroid and serotoin. I hope this

will will be the solution to my problem. I have high rt3. Before my adrenals

were addressed, my doc tried to lower the rt3 with low dose cytomel. My system

didn't tolerate that. Hopefully it will be a different story, now that my

adrenals are being supported.

I've tried 2.5mg HC about 1 hour before bed. It kept me up. I now understand the

importance of RIGHT BEFORE BEDTIME dosing. I'm going to start this tonight.

I take a casein protein shake before bed. Possibly my digestive system doesn't

tolerate the casein and wakes me up. We'll see. Ther's a lot of things to

experiment with and adjust.

Take care,

Jim

That is great it shows me the HC is helping it's taking our Thyroid hormones out

of your blood into our cells.

Well maybe not. I tried 2.5mg cortef just before I went to bed. I didn't have a

good night sleep. I don't think cortef at bedtime will work for me.

Also, I got up this morning not feeling so well. Slightly shaky. I took 10mg HC.

It's now 9:00 and I am still shaky. I took 7.5mg more.

I guess I have to take the good days with the bad in the beginning.

All is not lost try just eating before bed to keep your sugar levels up later if

this keeps up talk to your Dr. about switching to Medrol. I gave you a link

about how to do this and when you need to do it.

I don't know what it is. I thought I was on my way. Today I feel like crap.

Dizzy, shaky. I just took 2.5mg more cortef.

Tommorrow thru Friday is going to be a bitch if I'm not feeling better. I got

some people coming in from our central location in France. We will be

instituting a major change in our production inspection. The French can be

difficult to deal with. Shit.

I'll have to stress dose to the hilt.

Just take 5 mgs at a time to stress dose up to 20 mgs more that day if needed

then the next day you will need to cut back slow to get back down to your reg.

dose. So if you needed 20 mgs more to get through this day the next day add

5mgs 2x's then the next day add 5mgs then go back to your normal dose.
