Guest guest
I felt the same until I had the hot flash from hell that lasted about 50 mins. Then I still felt the same, I didnt start feeling better until about month. Re: Starting injections, but may be looking for a new doctor. I just received another email from the doc. He said " That's fine with me. See you soon " . I just made an appointment for tomorrow morning to get started. Just curious, what should I expect from a the initial 400mg injection? Will I feel like Superman for a day? Jeff
Guest guest
That is to much to try for a jump start ask for 200 mgs then do 100 mgs every week after that or 2x's a week. But give it 7 days before you do your own shots. Guest guest
I was on Androgel 10 grams when I got sick with an Infection my Dr. would give me 200 mgs every 2 weeks on top of the Gel to keep my levels up. When we get over stress from being sick levels get eaten up. Some men on TRT like myself eat up the T as fast as we take it. Still it's best to start low say 100 mgs /wk hold this for 8 weeks do labs go from there. Guest guest
I know other men that eat it up as fast as they take it and they are not Hypopituitary my SHBG is 22 not to low. I think it's about how your body acts Dr.'s go to take my BP and I can feel it going up as they are taking it. They get higher readings every time yet I don't have high BP. Guest guest
Barb, What would a low SHBG # look like; the last several years, mine test #'s have been from a 13-18. Don Re: Starting injections, but may be looking for a new doctor. I know you eat up your T, but you're hypopituitary, which is a special situation where ALL your hormones have to be supplemented and balanced. I've read at Dr. no's that when you use T as fast you take it, it means your SHBG is low, which is either low thyroid or insulin resistance. High insulin makes one store fat, and the fat aromatises the T to E. > > > > > > > > > > I was pretty much thinking the same thing, > > but it's moving in the right direction and certainly better > > than doing nothing at all. > > > > > > > > > > Is there anything I can do to prepare for > > this shot to get the most out of it? Guest guest
I'm low thyroid also, I take Armour daily, 60 in the morning and 30 at noon I'm always have cold hands and feet; I increased my noon Armur to a whole pill (60) instead of 30. My TSH #'s are .65. Don Re: Starting injections, but may be looking for a new doctor. I attached Dr. no's post about it a few days ago. I believe anything below 20 was considered low thyroid and/or insulin resistance. > > > > > > > > > > > > I was pretty much thinking the same thing, > > > but it's moving in the right direction and certainly better > > > than doing nothing at all. > > > > > > > > > > > > Is there anything I can do to prepare for > > > this shot to get the most out of it? Guest guest
Thanks for this info; I will educate my endo and ask for these tests. Don Re: Starting injections, but may be looking for a new doctor. If you're on Armour or any med with T3, you cannot dose by TSH. You need to get FT3, FT4, Total T4, ferritin, cortisol. If your hands/feet are cold, you aren't on enough meds, or ferritin, cortisol or something else is too low. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I was pretty much thinking the same thing, > > > > but it's moving in the right direction and certainly better > > > > than doing nothing at all. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Is there anything I can do to prepare for > > > > this shot to get the most out of it? Guest guest
After this shot if will peak in 2 to 3 days as far as feeling better on one shot some men do things like Joint and Muscle pain get better. But to get back to where you were before all this it takes time. First you need to get your levels of TT up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range and keep your Estraidol levels down to about 20 pg/ml. If you don't have a Thyroid or low Cortisol levels you will then start to feel better a little everyday It's a slow process. What happens is your body with good levels will start to undo the damage done for having low T over them yrs. I when I draw my T out of the vial I put the amount of my shot of air into the vial. I then pull the plunger all the way down and hold it. I do a .5 ml or ..5cc shot every 3 days it takes about a min. or two to get the Oil out of the vial. And when you shoot you want the oil to come out into your thigh slow.
