Hi,

I'm a 42 yr old male w/ high blood pressure who for the last few years have had

issues with anxiety, fatigue, some tingling in my body and neck pain. I have had

a bunch of tests including a brain MRI and nuc stress test and everything came

back OK. They all just said take some xanax or lexipro by I always felt it was

something else going on. By chance my doctor ran a testoterone test and it came

back low (240). I started getting shots every 2 weeks at 400mg. After the 3rd

shot I felt like a new person but now I feel like I'm back to the beginning. My

doc has cut my dosage to 300mg and has told me it's a long road. Now I wonder if

I'll ever get back to feeling good. It just seems so confusing. Any advice ??

Hi morman44 and Welcome,

Sure you can get back to feeling like your old self all it takes is a Dr. that

is up on doing TRT or one that will listen to what you learn here.

First we don't do big shots like 400 mgs every 2 weeks this is nuts. Most Dr.'s

back when I first started on TRT 28 yrs ago did shots 200 mgs every 2 weeks. I

would get the shot in there office then feel great in about 3 days this is when

the levels peak after this they start falling by the time your get your next

shot your very low. Being low is when we feel like crap.

So what your Dr. is doing is getting you to come in his office every 2 weeks for

a shot that you pay for. This is great for him but bad for you.

We do are own shots most do them with a small needle 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg and shoot

into there thigh.

We do the shots 100mgs every week and we add in HCG 250 IU's on the 5th and 6th

days after the T shot this keeps your levels up until you do your next T shot

and keeps your testis working.

http://spotinjections.com/index3.htm

Now we find that doing big shots every 2 weeks most of the shot will convert

into Estradiol when this goes up it undoes the good the TRT is doing. It make

you feel Anxiety, feelings of Panic, makes you feel hot and sweat most of the

time you wake up in the middle of the night wet from sweat. I kills your libido

and sex life most men get ED from higher levels of Estradiol and one way of

telling if your to high is the loss of your night time and morning wood. We

even get sore and hard nipples and later gyno man boobs.

Then to add to all of this your blood can get thicker and your Dr. will be

lowering your dose and telling you you can't be on TRT or telling you to give

blood.

Dr. is the God Father of TRT he is one of the best male hormone Dr.'s out

there and he puts info about being on TRT and taking HCG free on his site for

you and your Dr. If your Dr. is not up on doing TRT he will work with him over

the phone to test and treat you.

www.allthingsmale.com

When you go to his site read TRT: A Recipe for Success and His HCG Update.

Print this out and give it to your Dr.

In this you will find labs you needed and why if your Dr. did not test you to

see why your so low it is a bit late to tell still get all them labs done. Do

make sure you test your Cortisol and Thyroid levels a lot of men with low T

stress out there Adrenals from being so low and this just adds to the problem.

Some call it Adrenal Fatigue.

http://livingnetwork.co.za/hormones/adrenal-fatigue/

I feel after you have been on this much T for this long you can't lower your

dose much you will crash.

So I feel if your did your own shots and did them every 3 days 70 mgs this will

keep your body leveled off and hold down your Estradiol levels. Do test your

Estradiol I do a Quest labs test #4021 the range is 13 to 54 pg/ml if your over

30 and have ED or no night time and morning wood you need to get this down. We

use Arimidex it comes in a small one mg. pill we cut this pill into to 4 parts

and take .25 mgs every 2 to 3 days if your levels are under 50 pg/ml if your

over 50 you need to take .5 mgs every other day to get this down. You can tell

when your levels are down you will get some strong night time and morning wood.

Also all to this 250 IU's of HCG the day before your next shot.

In this link is a chart that shows you how long a 140 mgs shot lasts.

http://www.medibolics.com/freq2.htm

In this link it states to get your Total T levels up into the upper 1/3 of your

labs range for a young man and to keep your Estradiol down between 10 to 30

pg/ml best at 20.

Doing this your body will then start to undo any damage done from having low T

and you will start to feel better a little everyday it dose take time.

But the way your Dr. is doing this your not going to get there.

And this is a good read.

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=450553

if you can't get your Dr. to test you find a better one time wasted with a Dr.

not up on this can hold you back for yrs. Seeing Dr.'s not in the know held me

back for 23 yrs. I have had low T for the last 28 yrs you can read my story

here at this link and the Heart Update. Yes having low hormones messed up my

Heart.

Thanks Phil,

I thought I was going crazy. What you describe is exactly what is happening to

me. It's upsetting because I felt crummy for so long and I finally find out what

was going on with me (low test), I feel great for a little while and than the

rug gets pulled out from under me. It's weird but I have put on about 15 pounds

and I'm not sure if it's muscle or water. I went to the doctor before I read the

posting and complined about the anxiety and he lowered my to 300mg. I'm going to

do the reseach that you suggested before I got back. TRT is the only thing my

doctor does so I trusted him...very frustrating. My urologist had suggested a

gel or patch when I first got my results...might this be a better choice for

me??

Well your on shots all ready best to stay with this but do them your self and

try to do them every week. Or 2x's a week even every 3 days see what works start

with every week try 150 mgs if your doing 300mgs every 2 weeks. Gels are good

if you don't feel you can handle doing shots your self try gels but you need to

do a higher dose 10 grams of androgel. When you wake take a shower dry after

your shave put on the gel doing half the dose on your upper arms and shoulders

and down your back as far as you can reach then do the other side. Just spread

it around good but don't rub it in let it dry from wet. Do lab if your feeling

ok in about 8 week.
