Guest guest
Yes going on TRT and getting your levels up you can hold water but it can be from your Estradiol levels going up to high check this. You need to keep them at about 20 pg/ml. When I went on TRT from day one I had swelling in my hands and feet my Dr. gave me a water pill that I took every 3 days. •Triamterene/HCTZ 37.5/25 mgs. every 3 days. But I was on this long before I knew about high levels of Estradiol when my levels of Estradiol go up and I take more Arimidex to being it down I can lose 10 lbs of water. Guest guest
I have been on TRT for 3 years and no one had ever checked my Estrodiol levels. Just 2 months ago I found out my E was through the roof. Since then I have started on Arimidex and as soon as I started I have seen weight/puffyness coming off of me. I also think I am urinating more... but that could be because I purposely upped my water intake. Short story long - like Phil said make sure you get your E tested. You want to ask for a sensitive Estrodiol... make sure you say sensitive... (right Phil?) Good luck... P.S. Then again you may just be hitting the weights like a monster in the gym now that your levels are where they should have been! > > I've been on T cypionate injections now for about 3 weeks. Guest guest
Well I do absolutely know since starting Tcyp my recovery time between workouts has improved considerably. I'm now every other day with the wo's. Prior to the Tcyp I needed 2-3 days between wo's. my sleep has improved some, but could be better. I now can view my situation as exciting, with recovery back to health as a possibility. I have adrenal and thyroid to work on. HAN and Dr.O will get me there. > > > > I've been on T cypionate injections now for about 3 weeks. I'm feeling much better than when I was on the compounded T. Guest guest
One step at a time... but sounds like you are already responding nicely to the therapy. I am no professional... just another patient... but I would say diuretics are not the way to go. Here's my thinking, you would only be treating the symptoms and not the cause...and before going too far gaining 10lbs in 3 weeks isn't a giant leap... T could have stimulated your eating habits, could have slightly raised your E (but possibly not worthy of needing management), you could have added 1 or 2 lbs of muscle from the workouts.... all of this coupled together could have brought your weight up and it may be nothing strange at all.. However, all that said, if the weight gain is all water weight due to high E you want to treat that and not the symptoms of the E. High E can cause a host of other issues so make sure you know your levels... Short story long Test the E. I really wish all docs took a E reading prior to starting therapy as a baseline my 2 cents > > > > > > I've been on T cypionate injections now for about 3 weeks. Guest guest
Some things I see that changed in my body after having heart bypass sugary are I can put on water weight very fast now I am not as strong as I was before the sugary. How could I be after being out cold 17 weeks and 5 surgery's. It goes in cycles and last night was the end of one of them I was up every hr. going to the bath room. I asked me heart Dr. about this and he said it's the way my body is acting and it take a good 2 yrs for me to heal 100%. So he told me keep track of my BP and heart rate. I can lose 10lbs in water over night. I have to lose weight I do good then have a set back and can't get to the gym or exercise. I am just coming off a set back 5 dam weeks long story but today I am going back to the gym. Guest guest
Phil, It's good to see that you're getting back to the gym. This is something you love. same with me. I'm starting to see results with myself. Lifting is not a chore anymore, it's a renewed passion. Please excuse my ignorance, when a person retains water, do they first notice it in their hands an feet? I see none of this with myself. My upper body seems a lot fuller. I've put on 12 lbs now in 3 weeks. I'm due for blood testing in 2 weeks. I had a problem with naturally low E2, but I suspect I broke out of that and through the sweet spot. I have NO issues with nipple sensitivity, anxiety, etc. It was suggested by someone on another forum that since my T has been optimized somewhat, I'm putting back on the muscle that I had lost, at a rapid pace. I can say that I don't need 2-3 days between wo's anymore. 1 day does me fine presently. There will come a point when I will have to rethink things as I am somewhat of a " hardgainer " . > > > > > > I've been on T cypionate injections now for about 3 > > weeks. Guest guest
I felt the water gain in my hands and feet and still today when I hold water it's in my hands and feet first. I did not make it to the gym yesterday dam if my grand daughter 4 yrs old broke her wrist and I ended up baby sitting the others. So my Daughter could be with her at the hosp. with my wife. I am told not to go to hosp.'s after having heart sugary. I need to get there and start back the weight is coming back on me very fast. I did walk on my treadmill but can't do to much of that my knee's hurt. You will put back on muscle when your T levels go back up they suck up the testosterone like mad they need it to be healthy. I am so happy your doing better and back in the gym. Just remember this is a slow process and you need to go back to your life slow try not to over do it. So you don't set your self back I did this a lot. Guest guest
Phil, Sorry to hear about your grand daughter. How's your son in law doing? As always, thanks for the info. > > > > > > > > > > I've been on T cypionate injections now for > > about 3 > > > > weeks. I'm feeling much better than when I was on > > the > > > > compounded T. Guest guest
We are always worried about him but he is back to work and says he feels fine. She has a cast on her arm up to her shoulder and is so happy about it we all had to draw a something on it.
