Since estriol is the least toxic of the three estrogens, I would agree with that

doc. The tri-est I take is 90% estriol and only 7% estradiol and 3% estrone.

It works very well for me. I based it on 's Esnatri formula.

Not sure about preg and DHEA; I guess you could try suppplementing a little

preg, I take very little and it brought my DHEA up. Cortisol is probably ok,

since you're above 15.

Lori,

You can try some Indolplex/DIM and TMG with this to rid your body of this. The

DIM will convert this into better E's so your liver can wash them out and the

TMG will help your liver do this and help with the 2-OHE/16-a-OHE ratio here is

a cut and paste of what Dr. said.

I have seen several studies which showed that while DIM improves the

2-OHE/16-a-OHE ratio, it also increases the bad 4-OHE. TMG, or its child DMG

(although TMG is much better because it has already donated a valuable methyl

group by the time it becomes DMG) will help flush the 4-OHE downstream.

Taking TMG/DMG is important on its own, even in absence of DIM supplementation.

But I would not take DIM without it.

Thank you for the links... This works for women, too?

I asked my doctor and she doesn't want me taking this stuff yet.. Wouldn't it

help with the migraines I have been having? The anxiety?

She suggested " Serenagen " by Metagenics for the anxiety and I don't think I can

tolerate a bunch of Chinese herbs. she asked me to drop one of my Estrogel

doses...

I have yet to meet a Dr. up on high Estradiol levels and the bad E's it's not

about the hormones your doing it's about how your body gets rid of them. Your

not getting rid of them.

My Dr. his wife is a female Dr. I told her about Indolplex/DIM she was having a

hot flash in the office I seen her going through this. As I was leaving the

office I told her how well it was lowering my E2 levels so she got some and

tired it. The next week I seen her I was at the time going in for Test C shots

every 2 weeks she told me it was a miracle supplement she can't remember feeling

so much better.

DIM has to do with where estradiol or estrone go later. So either one could

cause problems if converting to the bad 4-OH estrone.

Lori, look at the picture here:

That shows what change DIM promotes.

TMG or DMG help in lowering 4-OH estrone. The difference between the two is

that TMG will lower homocysteine and DMG won't. I feel the need to take DMG

with my DIM so that the DIM works better. It's said to also help clear out

the metabolites that DIM promotes.

Maybe these supplements will help with your problems. Although you may be on

too much estradiol. What do you think? I'm not very in the know with

estrogen replacement for women, but I thought estriol was ideal to take with

estradiol instead of just taking estradiol alone.

Nigel- thanks so much- this helps me understand what could be going on. I bet

this urine test from 'Genova labs' for a 'estrogen metabolism assessment' will

show what is going on... I just don't like the idea of waiting to try something

that would help me. I am dropping one of my doses tomorrow. Thanks again! I

Estradiol is the bad one but all if them are not good if to high. Try it if you

don't feel better just stop it.

What is bad with women is Dr.'s giving them bad man made hormones that cause

breast cancer. Most women that feel like Lori is feeling have very high E's and

low Testosterone.

Lori,

All you can do after what Dr.'s say don't work is try things keep a log on what

your doing do one thing at a time give it a few weeks to see if it works. And

if not stop it and try something diff.
