Even the old dogs can be taught new tricks :)

Herbs are hit or miss and can cause more trouble then they are worth if you do

not know what you are doing. One could call me the nutritional guru when it

comes to intervention and disease prevention.

Antanas, I take Healthy Origins, but I don't recommend the brand as a

previous batch was definitely subpotent of their 2,400 IU strength. Now I

found a batch from them that does work, or at least better than the previous

batch, and my 25 OH was so high that I cut my dose down to about 10,000 IU.

I wasn't getting high calcium symptoms but it was depleting my vitamin A

heavily (a problem when vitamin D levels get higher).

If calcium is high, it's quite possible that it's from too much parathyroid

hormone. It's not neceessarily high vitamin D, but testing vitamin D level

is important if calcium is high to rule out too much vitamin D.

In my experience PTH wasn't high, but things got worse on vitamin D, even

before my levels were optimal. Something was definitely off and vitamin

K2/menatetrenone helped a lot and eliminated hypercalcemia symptoms. My

calcium was never above range, but high in the range and ionized was

actually closer to middle of range.
