Guest guest
Joe, If feel a " thickness " or some mild pressure in the area (more or less) behind your testicles, that is one of the signs, along with the two signs you mentioned.. The only way to know for sure is with a digital exam ( " digit " means finger!). Usually BPH's symptoms are frequent urination, difficulty in starting to urinate, usually without pain. If you have pain, it could be Prostatitis (infection of the prostate), or some other reason. I was once diagnosed with BPH (I had the symptoms and pain as well) - it turned out to be that I have something called Interstitial Cystitis. If you have burning when you pee or pain in your bladder, then MAKE SURE you get checked for this. Uros will think you have prostatitis if there is pain and/or a fever, they treat you with antibiotics, but the problem never goes away. Just an " FYI " for you if there is pain. If no pain, they have some meds that can help. You really need to see a urologist. It's not something you can self-treat or use herbs (saw palmetto doesn't work). I've been down that long road for 10 years..... no reason for you to down it to - see a doc.
