Guest guest
The first Dr. I found that was good on Hormones was a female Dr. but I later found out it was her husband that was the expert. I have seen both and find they are easy to talk to about sex and ED problems. Most Male Dr.'s would not hold a conversation with you about it. Or ask questions about your problem let alone go in to detail about it. Men just don't like to take about them problems like women do. I mean your in a bar and you turn to the guy next to you and say I hooked up last night and the dam thing would not work. He would look at you put you down or get up and move. Still it's not about the sex of the Dr. it's about the Dr. if he is good or not. I ended up seeing my Dr.'s husband some of my problems were over her head. Still I can't talk about my sex problems with him I can tell he is not at ease with talking about it. Guest guest
All of my current docs are male, but I have been to females before. Really makes no difference to me as long as they know what they are doing, and will listen to me instead of dictating.
Guest guest
I read a study that generally women docs are more caring and on average spend more ttime with patients. But IMO a male doc might be more understanding from a males perspective. Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Re: Do you prefer a male doctor or a female doctor for testosterone replacement ? Guest guest
I have just had cause to go to the doctors with a lump on my remaining testicle (TC 1985) I took preference to a male doctor, in fact I think I may well find it uncomfortable to talk to a female about such things, (Unless she was 6' leggy, big boob's etc I may make a exception) Tim. Guest guest
I am more comfortable with and have more positive experiences w/ female doctors. Currently all my doctors are women. > > Hello, > > This is my first post on this group. I think that this is an awesome group with tons and tons of information. In my case, I had the urologist examine my genitals once initially when I went in for an evaluation and every 3 months or so to check for shrinkage of the testis due to TRT. Hi, my test doc is male my pain/gp doc is male but... when ex wife " broke my dick " (yes it's possible, she was a little drunk and came down " off center " and there was blood everywhere... technically there's no bone but it breaks some blood vessels) the bleeding subsided in a few minutes, got then wife calmed down, and the next AM I called the married female attractive secretary for the Urology department (I worked for the state med school, urology just happened to be one of my departments so I saw this woman regularly), explained the whole thing, and asked if I needed to go to the ER or just make an appointment with one of her docs. in Urology, obgyn, etc they deal with sexual apparatus ALL DAY... it's no big deal.
