Injection sites

I have been trying different injection sites, and different needle sizes

with different doses.

So far, the best for me is the delt (shoulder) with a 30GX5/8 " needle. The

skin is thin enough there to get into the muscle. I injected 0.2 mL of 250

mg Test C, and I am only vaguely aware of any muscle soreness today. I think

I will stick to this routine every three days.

When the doctor's office did it, they injected 200 mg into the upper glute.

I don't know whether that was a 1 mL or a 2 mL injection, but it was sore

for nearly a week.

An 0.5 mL injection into the thigh had the most muscle soreness, which

lasted four days.

The only down side of the 30G needle is that it takes about 30 seconds to

pull 0.2 mL into the 1 mL syringe. But the small size also makes it easy to

inject the ester slowly.

You can get away with doing this it's a smaller shot I shoot .5mls. I am

betting your shot in your Dr.'s office was a 2ml shot they don't buy 200mgs/ml

they use 100mgs/ml.

For what it's worth,

My nurse who seemed very knowledgeable, told me that the gluts was the best

place for the most even distribution over the course of the time period between

shots. He seemed very knowledgeable.

Hi Steve and Welcome.

It is true but not the norm I have the same levels doing shots into my thigh

using a small 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. needle. There are a lot of people that don't

keep up with new news about TRT in men and all they know is what they learned in

Collage or from the dam Drug Reps.

I have lost count as to how many men come here and post they are on shots and

there Dr. gives them to them every 2 to 4 weeks. This is very old and dose not

work. Today men do shots 2x's a week I do mine every 3 days just like the Dr.

Shippen that did the book " The Testosterone Syndrome " .

If you read the AACE Guidelines on page 11 it states to do shots every 7 to 10

days and this is dated.

Men are even doing shots of Testosterone subQ and doing better then shots in the

back side with big long needles.

I find that a small dose every few days with a small needle works well. I

stay on an even keel, and I don't have any injection site pain that way.

Since the Test C lasts about 9 days in the system, I have had three shots in

three different locations by the time the first of the three has been

completely consumed. This keeps me nice and level with my mood and energy.
