Guest guest
No labs showed up in your post but I can tell you stress from this new baby in your life can work on your Testosterone levels the more stress the more you use up your meds. And this kind of stress can lower your Cortisol levels. Guest guest
Sorry, the labs were stripped off! No labs showed up in your post but I can tell you stress from this new baby in your life can work on your Testosterone levels the more stress the more you use up your meds. And this kind of stress can lower your Cortisol levels. Co-Moderator Phil Phil, the Max is six and he has been hospitalized 3 times (2 surgeries) to repair cleft palette, cleft lip and rhinoplasty. He is amazing, but a ton of work and stress for us, especially at our age. I'm fairly new to the group but recently decided I need some advice. I have Klinefelter's and have been on Androgel for approx 12 yrs with good results. I lifted weights regularly and ate pretty well. We adopted a 6 yr old special needs child from China, and he takes all of our time. Consequently, I stopped going to the gym two years ago and have gained some weight as well as lost muscle mass. I started struggling with my libido, maintaining an erection, and I am so tired for about 6 mo. I went to the doctor and had lab work done last week. He says my labs are fine! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
I am not sure about your units for Testosterone my units are in ng/dl your are in ng/ml. My range is 250 to 1100 ng/dl I keep my levels between 800 to 1000. I have a lot of stress in my life now I was on Statin Drugs and it damaged my joints and muscles so bad I can't stand up or walk with out the help of a walker. And I am in a lot of pain. This is eating up my T meds big time. I am not sure but I think your TT is in my units 411 this is very low. Men need to get there TT levels up into the upper 1/3 of there labs range and to keep there E2 levels between 20 to 30 best at 20 pg/ml. I feel your TSH above 2 is a flag going up your brain is asking for more Thyroid hormone. And if your SHBG is below 25 mine is 18 to 22 you would need your E2 levels lower. I keep mine between 15 to 20 pg/ml. Is your T3 at 3.3 pg/ml Free T3 if it is it's higher then mine and I am on thyroid meds. I don't know how much Androgel your on but if it's 10 grams you need to switch to shots starting with 100 mgs / week or 50 mgs 2x's / week hold this for 8 weeks do labs go by how you feel. Men On TRT do better on pregnenolone progesterone or cream. I started on Preg. cream my labs were very low after some weeks on this my labs went up to 117. I then tried Prog. cream this made my Sex life much better. I buy this OTC from Life-Flo as per my Dr. If you don't have night time and morning wood in your sleep I would say your E2 levels are to high. I use Arimidex to keep my levels down if you try this try ..25 mgs or 1/4 of a pill every 3 days. To tell if your Thyroid is low try this test taking your temp before getting out of bed in the morning. http://drbate.com/Ref/thyroid.html A lot of us men on TRT have low Cortisol and Thyroid levels but you need the right testing for this. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/recommended-labwork/ The following are about low Cortisol levels and how to test them. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/ In this link is how to treat them. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/how-to-treat/ Read this link about low Testosterone and what your levels need to be at. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html In this link it's about how bad Estradiol and Estrogen is in men. http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2008/nov2008_Dangers-of-Excess-Estrogen-in-the-Ag\ ing-Male_01.htm This is how to do shots is you switch to them do your shots at home your self. http://spotinjections.com/index3.htm Co-Moderator Phil > > > From: McKay <michael.mckay@... > <mailto:michael.mckay%40idjc.idaho.gov> > > > Subject: Help with labs, please! > > > <mailto: %40> > > Date: Tuesday, December 7, 2010, 10:47 AM > > I'm new to the group but recently > > decided I need some advice. Guest guest
I forgot to mention in my earlier email that I have been applying 5mg in the am, 5 in the pm but have switched to 10 mg in am as of today. Several more questions for you: 1. Does hair affect absorbtion of Androgel? I have abundance hair on my abdomen. 2. My doctor thinks my labs are fine. Is there any non prescription meds/herbs/topicals to reduce estradiol if he won't prescribe for me? I am not sure about your units for Testosterone my units are in ng/dl your are in ng/ml. Guest guest
It is not a good idea to put your Androgel on your belly it is going through fat and can drive up your Estraidol levels a lot. I know I was on Androgel from the day it came out. I felt my best putting it on my upper arms and shoulders and down my back as far as I could reach. I did both sides this way and you spread it around good but let it day from wet. It dose not matter about the hair I have a lot of it and I even clip it down because it never stops growing. My levels were the same with the hair longer or 1/32 of an inch long. I don't care what your labs units are if your levels are not in the upper 1/3 of your labs range for Total T your for most men to low. The testosterone levels that your body made from your testis is not the same as when you add it to your body. Men do dam good with levels from there testis at 500 but to = this on TRT one needs to be much higher it's not the same as your testis pushing out the same amount everyday. I can't say why your Dr. thinks this it only tells me he is not up on Treating men with low T.
