Guest guest
Ok lets go over this first did you do the labs the morning of your next shot but before it. If not it will be high like this. And I don't do HCG the day before my next shot when doing labs. I skip it because it will show higher levels that you don't have. Guest guest
I did not do a shot before the lab work. I did it after the blood was drawn. is is dangerous to have high levels of T > From: romrelllj <romrelllj@...> > Subject: Tesosterone very high > > Date: Saturday, March 19, 2011, 9:32 PM > I have been doing 50 mg of test twice > a week along with HCG 250 as reccomended my Testoserone is > very high like 1400 is there any danger in haveing that high > of testosterone. > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
No but what I would advise you to do is redo the test but don't do your HCG shot a few days before doing your labs. And it's would not be the first time my labs came back very high and it was the labs error. My Dr. never changes my meds on one set of labs because of labs error. Guest guest
I shoot 50 mg of Test 100. My levels test out at 600. Your dose is 2.5 times mine, and your levels test out at 2.5 times mine. So your results sound reasonable to me, based on my own limited experience. If yours continue to test out at 1,400, then you might want to consider reducing your dosage. Why would you want it so high? Guest guest
Chronic high testosterone levels will cause problems - liver damage, kidney damage and they just discovered that supra high levels of testosterone also cause brain damage ie roid rage. So, if you repeat and it is still high, you may want to bring it down a bit. On Mon, Mar 21, 2011 at 9:45 AM, Spanky <spankysd@...> wrote: > I shoot 50 mg of Test 100. My levels test out at 600. Guest guest
Spanky, It mgs is mgs even if he is using 200mgs./ml his shot is 50 mgs 2x's / week. If your doing 50 mgs / week of 100 mgs/ ml. your dam lucky to have them kind of levels unless your doing your labs 2 to 3 days after your shot. And he is only doing the normal dose any good Dr. would tell him to start on 100 mgs / week. But when you add in HCG to the mix is acts like a booster making T levels jump up for a brief time after the HCG shot. The spike can happen 2 hrs after the shot to 2 days and only lasts a short time so doing labs when using HCG with Test C shots you can get very high levels that are not your true level. Guest guest
No and you will have a hard time finding them. I do know if you do so much T that your levels are that of a bodybuilder doing Steroids you will not have problems. Yet some do like low Cortisol levels after all Bodybuilders paved the way for us sick with low T Dr.'s know most of what they know from them. Guest guest
Phil, With all do respect, there are credible references that show that too much testosterone could be dangerous. I think most of it boils down to the brain though. Too much kills brain cells by over stimulating them, especially in the frontal cortex where our executive functions are. Hence the aberrant behavior of men who are on too much ('roid rage and other risky behavior). I'm not sure what they define as too much though. I'm guessing that 1400 wouldn't be that bad although it if were me, I would want to get it down within the physiologic range. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10196726 http://www.livestrong.com/article/31320-negative-side-effects-testosterone/ http://news.softpedia.com/news/Too-MuchTestosterone-Kills-Your-Brain-36644.shtml http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=51013 On Mon, Mar 21, 2011 at 2:27 PM, philip georgian <pmgamer18@...>wrote: > > > No and you will have a hard time finding them. Guest guest
In my humble opinion Test levels of 1400 are dangerously high in the long term. If you can be happy at 500 (most men are) then why risk having elevated cholesterol cholesterol and estradiol levels, in addition to many other issues. This is my opinion but it´s based on based on a great deal of reading on the subject. I switched from gel to test cypionate four months ago and when I was doing 100mg per week I was at 1100 after 3 days so we cut it in half. I don´t need to be that high.. I feel just as good at 500 and I am sure that I will be healthier in the long run. You can have too little and you can have too much. At 500 I feel good and my workouts are productive. That´s my .02. Guest guest
Additional information on the risks associated with high-dose anabolic steroids. Amsterdam J, " Adverse health effects of anabolic-androgenic steroids " (2010), Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology. Nieminen MS, " Serious cardiovascular side effects of large doses of anabolic steroids in weight lifters " (1996), European Heart Journal Herbst KL, " Testosterone administration to men increased hepatic lipase activity and decreases HDL and LDL size in 3 wk " , (2003), American Jounral of Endocrinology Metabolism The last article is relevant to me. When my testosterone is at 65 to 80% of the upper limit, my HDL has been at its maximum and my lipoprotein profile has been excellent. However, when my testosterone has hit the upper limit or gone over, my lipoprotein profile has worsened considerably. I have no proof that this is a bad thing, but based upon my research, I prefer to keep my testosterone at 65 to 80% of the maximum. Guest guest
Ed, I found the same to be true for me. My testosterone was 1100 on my last blood test and my HDL went into the tank. I am in the process of getting it down to 800 and hopefully that will help raise it. Guest guest
Well I hate talking about studies here the first one is dated 2-22-99 over 10 yrs. old. Again very dated 1999 over 10 yrs old and Mayo Clinic is full of Endo's that don't know anything about low Testosterone or even how it works when I was there they said Yes your low but if you go on TRT it will cause Cancer. Nice House No One Home and I can tell you all over the web you can find posts by men that have been there and nothing they are not up on TRT. The 3rd. link come on this is not about Hypogonadism to much of anything is not good. Once again they are talking about how it might happen but have no proof. There are a lot of Dr.'s and groups of people down on the use of Testosterone for anything. And are quoting a study over 10 yrs. old. I just wasted most of my morning on this and did you know it's high E2 Estradiol levels that mess men up. And there are Dr.'s out there that treat prostate cancer with Testosterone. Guest guest
Yesterday, I was listening to a talk by a spinal surgeon, a orthopod and a neurosurgeon, all of them professors of medicine at NYU. The discussion was centered on orthopedic and spinal injuries of athletes. The point was made that athletes using high doses of steroids experience more frequent spinal injuries, because high doses of steroids cause osteoporosis which weakens their bones, and makes them susceptible to fracture. All of the professors agreed with the spinal surgeon's statement to this effect. Guest guest
It all depends on the biological set point of the indiviudal. If a person has shbg of 60 then 1200-1400 is not that bad long term. Guest guest
That is how shots work you peak in 3 days then start going back down. Guest guest
Look most me do very good getting the TT levels up into the upper 1/3 of there labs range. But it's best to go by how you feel so as your going up on the dose when you feel good stop doing more. Guest guest
Here is a link to a wiki article which appears to me to be balanced in sorting out what is actually known, and what is speculated: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anabolic_steroid#Adverse_effects. Of course, they are talking about the high doses which athletes may take to enhance performance. When I read the body building web sites I am appalled by the high doses which are recommended. Those guys are using more each day than I use in a week for medical purposes. My own decision is to keep my levels in the so called " normal " range, because I believe that the body is complex, and that throwing any system out of its normal range can have effects which may not even be understood at this time. Guest guest
I guess I would question if the injuries and osteoporosis are actually from high testosterone or from the AI's that the athletes are likely taking incorrectly (and causing E2 to go too low). I am going on 1.5 years of taking Arimidex under a doctor's care with constant blood tests and I still have trouble from time to time getting the dosage right. I can't imagine that most athletes are getting proper medical care if they are taking testosterone for athletic purposes. Guest guest
But you can't say in the range doing shots they peak in 3 days then go down. Levels are gaged by the last day of your shot just before your next one. Guest guest
, Dam good point and E2 never says at the same levels I do labs every 6 to 8 weeks. On some days I feel like I am to high my labs show I am to low as we go to low to long we end up in pain and have bone loss. Joint and muscle pain is not from Testosterone but from low Estradiol some men even have sore joints and muscles from high E2 levels. SHBG goes up binds up T and Free T ends up to low so we end up not supporting the joints and muscles.
