Guest guest
My IGF-1 in April, while I was on: ERFA Thyroid, HC and DHEA. igf-1 48.0 (11,0 - 40,0 nmol/l) igfbp-3 116 (49 - 176 nmol/l) " good " , or " normal " levels, right? So Hertoghe, my doc, thinks these levels are too low for my height! He wants me to start injections, 0.05 mg soon, and increase it, by 0.05 mg, every 10 days, to 0.25 mg daily. I have been thinking about this EVERY single day since I visited him 3 weeks ago... I HATE thinking about getting " addicted " to more and more hormone replacements - My body will loose the ability to creats it's own DHEA, TESTOSTERONE (the stuff I am taking already) and finally HGH, right? It's like... What if I loose my HGH, is it even safe to be without it for a few days/weeks? I don't think so! When you have started hormone replacement one better take it every day, especially HGH. I know next to NOTHING about HGH. But I want to know a lot more before I start taking it. I've read about athletes dying - While being on HGH-replacement treatments. I don't wanna get a shorter life, even if I feel better while living with the treatment. What about all the side-effects? One can even develop diabetes from taking HGH? Jeez. I am already at risk for that taking HC! My goal WAS: To heal, doing whatever, then... Weening off as many treatments as possible! Now it looks like I am getting more and more treatments... And it's scaring me! I already have a TON of stuff to watch out for: Always bring HC with me, remember to take it at 4 x times every day, the ERFA Thyroid, the DHEA every other day, testosterone gel in the mornings...... And bring all that stuff with me wherever I go! I just can't live a normal, comfortable, quiet life with all these " meds " with me all the time! It's driving me nuts!!! I don't know how many of you people on this group know me from the rt3_t3 and naturalthyroidadrenals grops. I just thought this was the best group to post about HGH. So... What do I need to know about treating with HGH-injections? It's called OMNITROPE and is made in Switzerland. My main issue these days, other than being tired and having a fat face (I blame 30 mg HC daily for that, which I've been on for 1 year!) is HORRIBLE digestion. I doubt HGH can correct that. Could be a parasite inside me for all I know........... Maybe I could even heal 100% without HGH, if I just fixed my stomach issue. Whatever it is. My GP ran _ONE_ test with my stools for the past 2 1/2 years I've had the stomach issue/stool issue (pale, soft stools, yellow, badly digested, foul smelling etc.), and that was a test for " cancer traces " which came out negative. What about microbiology, and checking me for ANYTHING that could cause these symptoms? *sigh* Everything just feels so hopeless... I just can't help it! I've been feeling ill for more than 3 years now, and severely ill for 2 1/2 years, with bad digestion, laziness in the evenings (corrected this issue with HC from June 2009 - probably had Adrenal Fatigue - the 24 hr saliva test said so anyway!) I have been taking thyroid hormones (syntethic T4 + in a combo with T3 later) since 1997 (I was 18 years old at the time) and felt amazing for 10 years. I did get bloating in my face when I ate sugar or drank alcohol, and I had tachycardia (250 bpm, for 1-2 minutes at a time) in the nighttime quite often during these years. BUT I felt great. Quick recap of my last 3 troubled years: In 2008 everything changed. I got fibrillation of some kind with my heart, though it wasn't recorded with ECG, for 20 minutes. Heart just shook, didn't pump blood perfectly. It tickled like crazy - Thought I was gonna itch my heart out of my chest, thought this was gonna kill me for SURE. I was ONLY taking 100 mcg T4 and 40 mcg T3 at the time. NOTHING else. Barely any vitamin supplements at all. I didn't have any special diets either. I felt good til THIS point when the heart issue appeared. The heart thing, and a high Free T3, made the endocrinologists remove my T3 meds in just 4 weeks time. They weened me off of 40 mcg T3 that fast. Not a good thing. The pressure that exploded in my head in the coming 10 months almost made me kill myself. The pressure NEVER left: Each minute, every day, I felt it..... 10 months worth of it.I did all kinds of tests... MRs, CTs of my head... Blood samples of what the GP could offer me to run checks with (not a lot)... I was healthy, peachy and fine! According to labs. ME, I felt like I was dying... The pressure did leave in the end of 2008, and I don't know what happened it to leave. The summer of 2009 came, and I was finally put on HC by a doc in Finland (I live in Norway) and it helped me some. No more laziness in the evenings (my main symptom thru 2008 and into 2009). I was diagnosed with ADRENAL FATIGE by saliva labs. I probably got it from having stressed adrenals over time.................. Maybe even low stomach acid (have no clue if I have that btw!) from 2007 made my iron absorption drop my Ferritin resulting in a bad tolerance of thyroid medication leading to heart fibrillation and resulting in an attempt of a full removal of my thyroid meds? Tried T3 only from X-Mas 2009, for 3 months, with suspected REVERSE-T3 DOMINANCE, with a ratio of 15. (Must be above 20!). It was ok, and I did improve in the beginning of T3-only treatment, but I did have a lot of irregular heartbeats taking T3-only up to 10-12 times daily. I finally went with ERFA Thyroid from March 2010. Adding DHEA and testosterone gel as well. Hertoghe is my new, and current doc. And now he wants to start HGH with me too. I just don't know what's what anymore......................... I am now on 1 & 1/4 grain ERFA Thyroid, 35 mg DHEA every other day and 2 g (2 pumps) testosterone gel daily. Trying CREON for my digestion issues. Been on it for 7+ days. Got a case of BAD diarrhea today. Dunno why. Dunno if I even need CREON (pancreatic enzyme). Maybe I just need BEATIN (stomach acid), or maybe I just have a parasite. WHO KNOWS... *sigh* Depressed... After reading stuff like this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI just wanna cry... Cause I am told to start HGH-injections within a few days (still haven't ordered it though) and it's supposed to help me heal! However... I have my doubts this is a SAFE treatment for hypothyroidism. ___
Guest guest
Have you had your Pituitary checked out sounds to me like this is your problem. It is mine and with this problem you need to address all your low or low normal hormones if one is off it takes from the others. You need to level them all. Guest guest
I did both an MR and a CT of my head and nobody commented on my pituitary gland. Are there any other ways to check it? Not that they knew what they were looking for. I just complained about pain in my head. I did these tests myself. My GP didn't think he needed to run these... Anyway. All that was visible (this was in 2008 when my problems started - and my problems started when the endo's started removing my thyroid meds!) was  my cyst below my right sinus. They said it's ok to have it there. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > >  > > >   >    >    >    After reading stuff like this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI > just wanna cry... > > Cause I am told to start HGH-injections within a few days > (still haven't ordered it though) and it's supposed to help > me heal! Guest guest
First there are a number of labs that will show if your Pituitary is not working right. I your Total Testosterone is low with a low LH and FSH and a good lower level of Estradiol this if a flag going up for a Pituitary Problem. Your low LH and FSH is the message sent to your Testis to tell it to make more Testosterone. If you see a high Estradiol levels with the low Total Testosterone, LH and FSH it's the Estradiol doing this your brain can't tell the diff. between Testosterone and Estradiol and thinks the Estradiol is Testosterone and slows down sending the LH and FSH message. So you end up with low Testosterone. So you need to get the Estradiol back down to about 20 pg/ml then redo the test. Then other test you can do is an ACTH stim. test. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ACTH_stimulation_test This will show if your Primary or Secondary. Guest guest
If we go back in time to my very first hormone blood sample in 1997, when I was very fat (like almost 300 lbs) and had trouble moving and talking and thinking (HYPOTHYROIDISM symptoms), I recall the doc telling me I had very low testosterone levels and he made a joke like " there's almost no man left in you! " - I was like WHAT!??! I was put on T4-only treatment and EVERYTHING improved: Serum values, even testosterone, and my overall health. I was feeling fine on T4-only and later T3 as well, for 10 years. Until 2007..... Something started changing in me. Could've been adrenal fatigue coming to me! I didn't improve again until I started taking HC in the summer of 2009, so... And my health is still such a mess! My digestion is HORRIBLE, and I have skipped heartbeats, I feel tired and sleepy, and I have a bloated face! (Either from too much HC, or from just being Hypo!) Please take a look at my first bloodwork with Dr. Hertoghe in February before I saw him in his clinic. I was on HC and T3-only when this bloodwork was done. Look at my testosterone and other hormones and tell me if there's anything there that points to a pituitary problem in there. I did this bloodwork T3-fasting, but I did take my HC, and ate a breakfast before the blood was drawn, eventhough I shouldn't have... I had also been taking vitamins and mineral supplements since June 2009 when I made this bloodwork. Look at my growth hormone. Both the IGF-1 and the IGFBP-3 look fine to ME, but I am NOT an expert. I know next to nothing about GH. Except Hertoghe reacted when he saw the high IGF-1 and told me to test again due to a probably lab-error. I tested my IGF-1 one month later, and it was almost half (!) of the value on the test below. So I guess it was a lab-error then? OR could DHEA lower growth hormone? I started DHEA right after my first appointment with Hertoghe in early March 2010, one month after the bloodwork below was done. He told me I needed TESTOSTERONE and DHEA according to the blood results below. Do you all agree with him on that? My SHBG however, was twice as high before I started taking HC in the summer of June 2009. So HC probably lowered SHBG. That's what I've learned HC can do anyway. I also feel that Dr. Hertoghe doesn't know my full history, and is treating me " from scratch " . Is this a good thing or not? Can be both, I suppose. I have a long and very complicated health history behind me. I am 31 years old, and have been sick since I was approx 13 yo. BLOODWORK FEBRUARY 2010 _before_ I started Testosterone, DHEA, ERFA Thyroid and GH (Still haven't started GH yet though!) - I was only taking T3 and HC when I made this blooodwork: http://nightrangerweb.net/health/RomanPaisLaboratory11thofFebruary2010_1.p\ df.JPGhttp://nightrangerweb.net/health/RomanPaisLaboratory11thofFebruary2010_2Th\ omas.pdf.JPGhttp://nightrangerweb.net/health/RomanPaisLaboratory11thofFebruary20\ 10_3.pdf.JPG http://nightrangerweb.net/health/RomanPaisLaboratory11thofFebruary2010_4.p\ df.JPG So, based on this bloodwork, I was given testo & dhea, plus ERFA thyroid instead of T3-only. I was on T3-only due to Reverse T3-issues. I have no idea if I can be on any other thyroid homrone than T3-only. Time will tell. So what do you guys think? Do I need the hormones I am taking based on the bloodwork above? Guest guest
That is ok I just went to the home page to read your post in Email it is to wide. I can't find your post on your first labs don't have time to look for them if you can put them back in to a new post I can look and see If I see a pituitary problem. The way I found out I have this problem I was doing 150 mgs of Test C shots a week I got my Dr. to let me add in HCG we did 500 IU's 3x's a week and after the 15 th. shot my labs for Total T came back double the level I went from 600 to 1200 so the way HCG works is it tells your testis to make T so if my testis did not work how did my levels double. I am Hypopituitary and going back over my old labs they were screaming this. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Â > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â > > > > > > > Â Â Â > > > > > > > Â Â Â > > > > > > > Â Â Â After reading stuff like this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI > > > > > > > just wanna cry... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Cause I am told to start HGH-injections within a few > > > days > > > > > > > (still haven't ordered it though) and it's supposed to > > > help > > > > > > > me heal! Guest guest
Your sodium is very low I have this problem and it's this test that showed it's my Adrenals my body dumps my sodium. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12 & t=15453 Your FSH is very low and if your Testosterone was low with this it can mean you have a Pituitary Problem. If your sodium was a urine test at 301.6 your are dumping your sodium. On them labs I did not see Estraidol or Testosterone. The rest of the labs I don't comment on them. Guest guest
I have been taking 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of sea salt daily with my bottled drinking water. Just to keep the serum sodium above the low range. It's now at about 140 which is fine. Will FSH get lowered if one is taking HC? Hertoghe did ask me if I suffered from a blow to my head... And I recalled one time when I was in my early teens.. I was hit by my buddy on his ice sleigh really hard and I hit the ice with the side of my head - Like, HARD!!! That could've been it. One of my doctors out of country thinks all my problems are from amalgam fillings. So I have two approaces to my problems. My Serum-Testosterone is in link number 2, and it's near the lowest range of 3000, at 3467 pg/ML. The top range is 10.000. I _was_ on HC when this bloodwork was made, and HC lowers testosterone - Right? My testosterone was MID-RANGE (!) when my problems started in early 2008. I was on T4/T3-combo treatment, and this had worked fine for 10 years. I find it interesting to see that all my levels were adequate when I was on T4/T3. ONLY when my thyroid meds were taken away from me, slowly, month after month, by some idiotic endos, ALL my levels started declining. So, it seems like when I was adequately treated with Thyroid hormones only, everything else was ok! Including my s-testosterone, which was mid-range before the endos started weening me off my thyroid meds for NO REASON WHAT SO EVER. Would that be true if my pituitary was damaged? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Â > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â Â > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â Â > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â Â After reading stuff like this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI > > > > > > > > > > > just wanna cry... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Cause I am told to start HGH-injections within a > few > > > > > days > > > > > > > > > > > (still haven't ordered it though) and it's > supposed to > > > > > help > > > > > > > > > > > me heal! Guest guest
I don't have my very first labs from 1997 handy atm, but this was the year I got started on T4-only, as the first person in the history of Norway, starting on thyroid meds without a real diagnose. I was diagnosed by SYMPTOMS only. And by God the T4 worked GREAT!!! :-) 10 years later, I got a heart issue (fibrillation for 20 minutes) and the endos which told me I didn't need to start on thyroid meds in 1997 (I did it thru a private practitioner), told me I needed to ween off my thyroid meds cause they were making me sick instead of healthy. Uh, I was feeling good with thyroid meds for 10 years. How can that be " being sick " ? So anyway.. I listened to them (like the moron I was) and weened off my thyroid meds for 14-15 months.. NOT WITH GREAT RESULTS!!! :-( And here I am, stuck in some kind of mess,2 1/2 years later. Needless to say, I cut contact with the endos, spring 2009, and went to Hertoghe this March to hear what one of the best hormone specialist in the world had to say about my health! I do have an interesting bloodsample from the end of my 10 year good-run, right before the endos started remocing my meds. Keep in mind my ONLY symptom at the time was FEELING STRESSED & I had just suffered from some kind of heart fibrillation, other than that; i looked and felt great! Look at my values BEFORE they started removing my medication, the medication that kept me HEALTHY!!! My " last blood sample as healthy while on T4 and T3 medication ONLY " from January 2008: www.nightrangerweb.net/health/blod_aker_hormonlab_14-01-2008.jpg My conslusion would be: They ruined my health by reacting the way they did to my symptoms: STRESS and a HEART ISSUE, by removing my medication!!! What do you guys say? Look at those labs. They are quite good. Maybe not perfect? From: pmgamer18 <pmgamer18@...> Subject: Re: Does HGH-treatment really work? Date: Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 6:04 PM  That is ok I just went to the home page to read your post in Email it is to wide. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >   > > > > > > >    > > > > > > >    > > > > > > >    After reading stuff like this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI > > > > > > > just wanna cry... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Cause I am told to start HGH-injections within a few > > > days > > > > > > > (still haven't ordered it though) and it's supposed to > > > help > > > > > > > me heal! Guest guest
I would say your Problem is Hypopituitary due to your head injury. No HC will not lower your testosterone levels. HCG acts like the LH and FSH messages sent to your testis from your Pituitary so yes it will lower your LH and FSH levels but not shut them down like going on TRT will do. Read this link to a closed forum about Hypopituitary it's full of info. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewforum.php?f=12 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â Â Â After reading stuff like this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > just wanna cry... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Cause I am told to start HGH-injections within a > > > few > > > > > > > > > > > > > days > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > (still haven't ordered it though) and it's > > > supposed to > > > > > > > > > > > > > help > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > me heal! Guest guest
I am currently taking: 2 pumps (2 grams) og Testosterone gel 10%, 35 mg DHEA every other day (will increase it to 50 mg daily soon), 1 & 1/4 grains of ERFA Thyroid (75 mg) daily, and a host of vitamins and minerals. My current testosterone levels are high like Hertoghe likes them. After a few months of T-treatment, the S-Testosterone is now at almsot 10.000 which is the top range. So the total/index of testosterone (and shbg) isn't what counts? Most GPs say it's the tota/index that counts. Mine was always at like 98% or 99% - Now it's the same, but my base testosterone is higher! I smear the gel on my shoulders 1-3 hours after I wake up, depending on when I remember to do it. Is it crucial applying the gel at the same Time every morning or... ? What is HCG? Thanks for the link! I will read it! I know nothing about this! :-) From: pmgamer18 <pmgamer18@...> Subject: Re: Does HGH-treatment really work? Guest guest
I see a Free T3 more than double over the top of range. That can cause heart damage. I would've cut the T3 in your dose too, but monitored you till you came back in range. Guest guest
That is a very low dose of gel most men do better using over 7.5 grams. Guest guest
But, I felt great from 1997 to 2007 on T4/T3 and that was all I was on. However, I got stressed (probably adrenal insufficiency that had built up over time) and my stress lead to a heart issue (undiagnosed: but I remember this INSANE itching feeling in my chest, and that my heart was " shaking " uncontrollably fast for 20 minutes!!! I was SURE I was gonna die!) which THEN again resulted in the new endos (I regret going to them in January 2008!) removing my thyroid meds slooooowly and THEN, finally, my ***real*** problems started as 2008 moved on: Being with less and less thyroid meds........ Laziness, laziness, and more laziness and GOD it was an awful time thru 2008 and 2009... Adding HC in June 2009 helped me a little bit and I am still taking HC this day today! 30 mg daily. I hate to think about it, but yes, maybe that one hard blow to the head could be IT. From: pmgamer18 <pmgamer18@...> Subject: Re: Does HGH-treatment really work? Guest guest
Yes, the FT3 was insanely high. Something made it POOL. Now, the endos just went like " ok, let's remove T3 " and did so, 40 mgs worth of it, all cut away in less than 4 weeks. TOO FAST. As a result of that, I got a pressure UNLIKE ANYTHING I'VE EVER FELT IN MY WHOLE LIFE for the next 10 months... I thought I was gonna die from the pressure! In my personal opinion: HC should've been added as T3 was slowly cut, but then I should've taken more T3 again as the adrenals healed. This didn't happen.............. I was just told ONE thing: " You are healthy - Just remove the thyroid meds and you'll be normal! " > 10 years later, I got a heart issue (fibrillation for 20 minutes) and the endos which told me I didn't need to start on thyroid meds in 1997 (I did it thru a private practitioner), told me I needed to ween off my thyroid meds cause they were making me sick instead of healthy. Uh, I was feeling good with thyroid meds for 10 years. How can that be " being sick " ? So anyway.. I listened to them (like the moron I was) and weened off my thyroid meds for 14-15 months.. But my serum testosterone is now at the top of the range with 2 grams? > > From: pmgamer18 <pmgamer18@...> > Subject: Re: Does HGH-treatment really > work? > > Date: Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 6:59 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > >  > > >   >    >    >    I would say your Problem is > Hypopituitary due to your head injury. No HC will not > lower your testosterone levels. HCG acts like the LH > and FSH messages sent to your testis from your Pituitary so > yes it will lower your LH and FSH levels but not shut them > down like going on TRT will do. > > Read this link to a closed forum about Hypopituitary it's > full of info. > > http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewforum.php?f=12 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >  > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >   > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >    > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >    > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >    After reading stuff like > this:http://longevity.about.com/od/researchandmedicine/a/HGH_aging.htmI > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > just wanna cry... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Cause I am told to start HGH-injections > within a > > > > > > > few > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > days > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > (still haven't ordered it though) and > it's > > > > > > > supposed to > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > help > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > me heal! Guest guest
You said you had atrial fibrillation for 20 minutes. That is not normal and can be caused by low OR high T3. One thing missing in your labs is reverse T3. With a Free T3 as high as yours, rT3 should be sky high too, as your body's protective mechanism to keep you from going hyper. Your pulse and BP at the time were not high? Pooling is a controversial concept and one I don't always agree with. On Armour-type meds, my FT4 is on the low end of the range while my FT3 rises over the halfway mark. I'm told this means I'm pooling but saliva cortisol labs show me with a regular rhythm, and slightly high a couple of readings, not low. Then I find out autoimmune diseases like Graves' naturally cause that (which I have but had RAI), that's why they go hyper in the first place--their T4 converts at higher than normal rates. What can I say, your case is complicated, and Hertoghe's got a challenge! > > > > > 10 years later, I got a heart issue (fibrillation for 20 minutes) and the endos which told me I didn't need to start on thyroid meds in 1997 (I did it thru a private practitioner), told me I needed to ween off my thyroid meds cause they were making me sick instead of healthy. Uh, I was feeling good with thyroid meds for 10 years. How can that be " being sick " ? So anyway.. I listened to them (like the moron I was) and weened off my thyroid meds for 14-15 months.. NOT WITH GREAT RESULTS!!! :-( > > > > > I do have an interesting bloodsample from the end of my 10 year good-run, right before the endos started remocing my meds. Keep in mind my ONLY symptom at the time was FEELING STRESSED & I had just suffered from some kind of heart fibrillation, other than that; i looked and felt great! Look at my values BEFORE they started removing my medication, the medication that kept me HEALTHY!!! > > > My " last blood sample as healthy while on T4 and T3 medication ONLY " from January 2008: > > > www.nightrangerweb.net/health/blod_aker_hormonlab_14-01-2008.jpg > > > My conslusion would be: They ruined my health by reacting the way they did to my symptoms: STRESS and a HEART ISSUE, by removing my medication!!! > > > What do you guys say? Guest guest
I don't know what I had - In my confusion and fear I said " NO THANKS! " to an ambulance with ECG!!! My heart just SHOOK faaaast for 20 minutes! It did NOT beat strongly/normally! And I've had tachycardia attacks almsot every night since I was 13! (200+ bpm for 1-2 minutes, only in the nighttime! - Weird! Nobody knew why this happened.. It stopped 2 years ago for no apparent reason other than I quit my T3 meds, and weened down on T4 - But I didn't take any thyroid meds when the tachycardia started at age 13! Weird.) My rT3 was only tested last spring. It was slightly above the top range at 0.55. The range is 0.14 to 0.54. For those who believe in FT3/rT3 ratios, mine was: 14.5 and it should be 20 or above! That was last year, X-Mas time. That's why I tried T3-only meds for 3 months before going to hertoghe! From: Barb <baba@...> Subject: Re: Does HGH-treatment really work? Guest guest
One thing I don't like is people taking T3 only meds with T4 your better off taking a NTH like Armour but we can't get good Armour so try ERFA or something like it. http://www.universaldrugstore.com/medications/Thyroid/60mg If you took your T4 and T3 meds before doing your labs your levels will be to high. Your not to take Thyroid meds before doing labs.
