I misread that at first thinking you were getting 200mg every 2 weeks... not uncommon but very " old school " I bet the needle was like a 22g too! :-} I know I went almost immediately to 1 " 25g myself... and since Phil said he'd switched to the little insulin syringes like he used for HCG I gave it a try and it WORKED... so now I'm using up the last of my 25g spikes and going to to 1cc 29g insulin syringes... the dose would fit in the 1/2cc syringe... but it takes so long for it pull the dose through that little needle even with the plunger pulled ALL the way back I get the bigger syringes just to make it easier to hold onto. but I bet you felt like superman for at least a while! ;-} (until all the side affects of taking that much T at once started) > I am also one of those folks whose blood thickens with T unfortunately pretty common it seems... may be as much an issue as a problem with us just getting older as much as the test... think of all the people taking a little aspirin a day that aren't on T... enough of a demand you can get " adult " (i.e. non flavoured) 81mg aspirins in virtually every [The entire original message is not included]
Guest guest
Jbbooks1901, Thanks great post I am in a lot of pain from Statin Drug damage. I tried walking only for 2 min.'s at a time for a total of 15 min.'s yesterday and today I can't take the pain standing up or walking. The dam pain pills don't even help. The pain is so bad I break out in a sweat. My wife keeps trying to tell me it's my Thyroid meds are to strong. Can't win for losing Dr. keeps telling me I need to exercise the more I try I feel the more damage I am doing to my muscles. The pain pills that did not give me bad sides are Darvocet but the FDA pulled it so I tried Ultram working my way up to 100 mgs 3x's /day the sides got real bad and it was not much help with the pain. I don't know how you did it all them yrs. with your pain I can't take much more of this. I was on vicodin 2 yrs ago when I got out of the hosp. from having Heart Bypass Surgery I was put in a coma 13 weeks and had a big huge bed sore. I did not want to go back on the vicodin it was very hard to come off it. Yet now I back on it 2x's / day yet when I was on it for the bed sore I took it 3x's/day. I called my Dr. about this this morning all this pain I am in is eating up my Hormones meds. When I got out of the hosp. two yrs. ago they put me on Statin Drugs being in a coma I never got my legs back now we know why it was the Statin Drugs. I am not sure witch of these I have but I am sure I have one of them. ================================ Are statins bad for the muscles? Once again I will present the evidence-based data, but first, some definitions: Myalgia is a non-specific common complaint of muscle ache and there are no abnormalities of the muscle enzyme CPK or CK on a blood test. Myalgia has rarely been examined in clinical trials and it is thought that some type of muscle aches can occur in up to 30% of patients on statins. Unfortunately, many of these patients start a vigorous exercise program at the time they start their statin because they decide it is to “get in shape†and one doesn’t know where the orgin of the muscle ache is from. There are many other causes of myalgias too. Statin muscle pain typically occurs in the proximal muscle groups(closer to the trunk of the body) and also lower back. Statin-induced myalgias have occurred up to 3 years after starting a statin. Myopathy has been used to refer to all muscle complaints or CK elevations more than 10 times the upper limits of normal with or without associated muscle symptoms. Myositis has been defined as muscle symptoms with increased CK levels. This term implies muscle inflammation but this appears to be a secondary event associated with the healing process. Rhabdomyolysis, by strict definition exists whenever there is evidence of muscle damage, such as a mildly elevated CK level but is used clinically to refer to severe muscle damage and is usually associated with kidney dysfunction. The Muscle Expert Panel of the Statin Safety Task Force believes believes that because of all this confusion about terms, a new format should be made as follows: Myopathy should be used as a general term for all muscle problems. Symptomatic Myopathy should be used to refer to muscle pain (myalgias), weakness, and cramps. Asymptomatic Myopathy should be used to refer to CK (enzyme) elevations without any symptoms. Rhabdomyolysis should be used to refer to any evidence of muscle cell destruction with resulting change of kidney function. --------------------------------------------------------- I also take Cialis for my heart 5 mgs / day yet my drug care plain stopped paying of it. I have a lot of 20 mgs pills that I cut into 3 parts that will last me a good time. I looked for Cialis at the ADC and could not find it. So the name to look for isadcirca. This is the name of the pain med Vicodin/Lortab/Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone 500mg/5mg PO Tab is this what your on and can one take this 3x's /day. To add to all this it looks like in Feb. I need to find a new Dr. My yr. is ending in a mess.
