Guest guest
Low T impacts your QOL and longevity. Sexual problems are often what gets a guy to investigate but don't conlude that no E.D. means no harm. Do some reading; then you will be eager to fix the low T! T means everything to a guy's health IMHO. > > > Hi all, > I've posted on here before and am still unsure whether or not to start TRT. At 36 yrs old my sex drive is still pretty good and my equipment still works okay. I do feel overly tired from time to time and I do have some belly fat that is hard to get rid of. What are the pros and cons of going on TRT and is it really necessary if the sexual stuff is okay and still works for me. Also, how do I find out why I have low T. I've had Brain MRI, Thyroid, blood tests, etc, which all have come back normal except for the low T, around 217. > > Thanks. >
Guest guest
After you ran them labs and all looks good you just stopped making T and need to be on TRT. If you go on with them low levels later on your going to have all kinds of problmes low T will stress your body you need T to keep your bones strong and to help keep your joints and muscles healthy. Men with low T feel Depressed it's not Depression but the low T. I can go on for hours about how this will mess up your life not on TRT with levels this low. http://www.griffinmedical.com/Low_Testosterone_equals_low_quality_life.htm http://men.webmd.com/news/20070605/low-testosterone-may-up-male-mortality?ecd=wn\ l_men_072407 Co-Moderator Phil > From: surfingmedicman22 <no_reply > > Subject: Low T questions? > > Date: Monday, June 14, 2010, 12:05 PM > > Hi all, > I've posted on here before and am still unsure whether or > not to start TRT. Guest guest
In this book, does it go into depth about the thyroid, adrenals and the million other things that commonly go hand in hand with low T? This book looks a little too good to be true, just like those low T commercials. > > I got this book and it really opened my eyes: > http://www.amazon.com/Testosterone-Life-Recharge-Vitality-Overall/dp/0071494804/\ ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1276534016 & sr=8-1 > > The author is Morgentaler (in case the link doesn't work). The title is " Testoerone for Life " > Bill > > > > > ________________________________ > From: surfingmedicman22 <no_reply > > > Sent: Mon, June 14, 2010 12:05:25 PM > Subject: Low T questions? > >  > > Hi all, > I've posted on here before and am still unsure whether or not to start TRT. Guest guest
Thanks for the link. I've actually stopped taking statins which I've been on for a few years to see if they were causing my T levels to go down. I'm going to retest my T levels in about two weeks and if there still low I'll probably start on TRT. So if all my labs and tests came back clean then is there anyway to find out why my body isn't producing enough T. > > > > I got this book and it really opened my eyes: > > http://www.amazon.com/Testosterone-Life-Recharge-Vitality-Overall/dp/0071494804/\ ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8 & s=books & qid=1276534016 & sr=8-1 > > > > The author is Morgentaler (in case the link doesn't work). The title is " Testoerone for Life " > > Bill > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: surfingmedicman22 <no_reply > > > > > Sent: Mon, June 14, 2010 12:05:25 PM > > Subject: Low T questions? > > > >  > > > > Hi all, > > I've posted on here before and am still unsure whether or not to start TRT. Guest guest
I don't read them books anymore better off finding studys it's like the book The Adrenal Fatigue the 21st Century. When I got this it was just out in hard back what a waste of my money. I did not know what I know about this problem now and I wasted a lot of money doing the crap he talked about doing and taking the supplements to only end up on what he said people should avoid HC or cortef. Guest guest
I stopped statins last night been on them 19 months and the more I read about them the more I don't want to be on them. I feel they are giving me pain in my joints and muscles. When I do a search about statins all I read is how they have all them sides and there is no proof they work to keep your heart healthy. Guest guest
Hi Bill, Does it make the case for using HCG? Brett Low T questions? Hi all, I've posted on here before and am still unsure whether or not to start TRT. At 36 yrs old my sex drive is still pretty good and my equipment still works okay. I do feel overly tired from time to time and I do have some belly fat that is hard to get rid of. Guest guest
I don't have the book in front of me, so I can't answer that question unequivocally. I don't remember how much of the book was devoted to adrenals and thyroid. He does however, list all the tests that check these thyropid and adrenals issues in his list of required blood tests. The book is informative as to what can cause low T, but what I really got out of was this; even if you labs look " okay " (say 300-400), if you have low-T symptoms, then the doctor needs to get past just the " numbers " and treat the symptoms. Another " biggie " was that he recites the stories of some of his patients and in some of those (actually most of them) guys I said " that's me! " . To me this substantiated what I suspected; that in fact I suffer from low-T. My labs were right at the bottom end of the scale, but had nearly every low-T symptom (except ED). Seeing how his patients responded to the therapy (he tells how effective the treatments were) AND knowing there are doctors who will actually get past the lab numbers, was very encouraging to me. It gave me: A) hope that it wasn't just me " getting old " (I'm 53), that it isn't just in my head, C) that it's not something more serious like cardiovascular disease (the fatigue), and D) I felt like I was getting somewhere (finally). He lists all the TRT treatments and the pros and cons of each. In some of his case studies you'll see that TRT doesn't solve every problem, you'll see that in some cases using gel worked or didn't, that sometimes he increased gel doses and " boom " the guy got better. Sometimes he went from gel to shots because he wasn't seeing the improvement he wanted, and that did the trick. So, again, good information from a variety of situations - all real-world stuff. It's a good education on this issue and the book is easy to read and not very long. I used what I learned in this book to push for TRT with my doc and the ammunition I got from the book was what I used to convince him to treat me. Guest guest
Phil - this book isn't like that. I replied to another guy here just a minute ago with me feedback on the book, so I won't write it all again. It's a very educational book - it's not just all about numbers and treatments, it's about real patients with real symptoms and how TRT helped (or didn't). He doesn't go into stuff like herbs and vitamins. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Mon, June 14, 2010 5:41:20 PM Subject: Re: Low T questions?  I don't read them books anymore better off finding studys it's like the book The Adrenal Fatigue the 21st Century. Guest guest
Brett, I don't have the book here with me to check. I'm out of state from my home this week. I don't remember seeing it on there, though it's been a year or so since I read it, so it might be in there.
