Guest guest
Yes right to many people with slow Adreanls don't need HC meds they need to fix many other things first. But it's the quick fix they are looking for that gets them in trouble. Guest guest
Dr. M is huge on inflammation. He says that 90% of people's problems stem from lots of inflammation in their bodies, especially their guts. So, with his patients, he works very hard to get their guts healed. According to him, heal your gut and you pretty much can get on anything you want. Guest guest
The only way to tell is trying to come off it. But do it slow 2.5 mgs / week working back the the night does to the morning. Some people have a problem doing this they get shaky and sick the there stomach when they are close to being off it. But all they need to do is give there body more time so I tell them go back up on that dose hold it for a time week or 2 then try going down again. The problems with coming off HC meds one has a problem and they go back up to there highest dose and try later. All one needs to do is go back up on the amount they last lowered and hold this. Guest guest
The way I read this is the brain makes it's own T3 it's not the same kind of T3 we take it's diff. and this is why we need T4 for the brain. Guest guest
Thanks Phil. And thank you for all your knowledge. You taught me a lot of the info in the men's section. So far, people are questioning the rT3 and HC section, but not the men's section? I got that section right lol? Guest guest
I never quite thought of it that way, Barb. Very good explanation and this probably helps to explain why T3 doesn't do much for me and T4 is quite effective. I posted a link to it and so far two think the RT3 page is interesting and two agree with it. -Nigel On 24 February 2011 11:11, Barb <baba@...> wrote: > > > Dr. no say that the brain and body are in two different compartments > (think Alzheimer's - no brain, functioning body, or Hawking - > genius, no functioning body). Guest guest
If he wrote " total nonsense, " then he hated it! But I stand by what I wrote. I think the problem is the definition of " physiologic dose. " Just like guys here take 20 mg to 100 mg in their shots at a time, and Armour from 1/2 grain to 12+ grains, how is one to know that 25 mg of HC is an overdose and not physiologic? There's no meter on us. I have seen every single one of those side effects posted over and over and over ad nauseum and it just makes me sick that people don't see what's happening. There was one woman who would take her husband to the ER every few nights with high heart rate (150s?) and BP. She had him on an ungodly amount of both HC and straight T3. Couldn't figure out what's wrong. I think she was told to give him more sea salt. *sigh* Barb > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > From: Barb > > > <baba@> > > > > > > > > > > Subject: > > > New > > > > > Website with Medical > > > > > > > > Journal References for your > > > Doctor > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Date: Tuesday, February > > > 22, 2011, > > > > > 9:15 PM > > > > > > > > > > Check out > > > TiredThyroid.com, a new > > > > > > > > > > website that covers the > > > most > > > > > common topics > > > > > > > > discussed on the > > > > > > > > > > forums, with medical > > > journal > > > > > references to > > > > > > > > convince your > > > > > > > > > > doctor that " you CAN > > > believe what > > > > > you read on > > > > > > > > the > > > > > > > > > > internet! Guest guest
Phil, your understanding about thyroid is confuse me. Basal temp & pulse, to me mind is the most accurate indicator what happens at cellular level. All " alternative " practitioner agree if it, and all writes about in their books! How can you say that basal is mess you? Don't your respect Broda ? Before any thyroid meds with stable 3x temp on 25HC, but with terribly hypo symptoms: * my blood showed i am hyper * 3x temp(drrind) 36.8 - is nearly normal. * 36.0-2 basal temp and 75 pulse. I trust this marker together with symptoms I guarantee that you would not went hyper(you said on 3,5grains you was hyper without knowing it) if you would checked your basal temp & pulse at that time. Can someone share their basal temps, who are no more hypothyroid? Antanas > > Can I tell you the best way to take and keep track of your temps it's all in this link. I did this for 2 yrs everyday. > http://www.drrind.com/therapies/metabolic-temperature-graph > You can print out a chart to track your temps don't use Digital thermometers. I got this one off the web. > http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com/Products/Thermometer.htm > They sell it at WalGreens. > > I took my temps after I was up 3 hrs every 3 hrs 3x's/day added them up and div. by 3 this is my avg. > > When I first went on HC meds I keep track of my temps avg. if my temp went up or down more the 2ths. I knew my body was not yet supported on HC meds and until my temps became stable I did not start on Thyroid meds. > > Then when I started on thyroid meds I started on 45 mgs my temps avg. went up a little then in about 2 weeks if would fall back some this is when I added more Armour 15 mgs I kept doing this until I was on 90 mgs this I held this dose for 8 weeks did labs. If my labs were below mid range and I did not feel better I went up 15 mgs more. And my temps avg. would go up then hold the stating temp I had was very low 96.8 today it's 98.4 on avg. > > I don't mess with my basal temps anymore. > Co-Moderator > Phil >
Guest guest
Maybe this link will help but keep in mind taking temps is just a tool not the last word it's more about how you feel. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/temperature/ Co-Moderator Phil > From: antanas_aradas <antanas_aradas@...> > Subject: Re: New Website with Medical Journal References for your Doctor > > Date: Friday, February 25, 2011, 1:13 AM > Phil, your understanding about > thyroid is confuse me. > > Basal temp & pulse, to me mind is the most accurate > indicator what happens at cellular level.
