Guest guest
Hi , I always suffer from fungal infections after antibiotic use, if that what you mean, Thrush, Dandruff, Bad Toe Nails the lot from top to toe, the treatment I have had a few times was a drug called " Sporanox " (Itraconazole) it worked very well the first couple of times, but the last time it didn't seem so effective, I think I may have built up a resistance to it now, so I will have to try another type. here's a snippet about it's use's. What is it used for? - Fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot (tinea pedis)<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/athletesfoot.htm>, ringworm(tinea corporis)<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/ringworm.htm>, jock itch(tinea cruris)<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/ringwormgroin.htm>, or pityriasis versicolor<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/pityriasisversicolor.htm> . - Vaginal thrush (vulvovaginal candidiasis)<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/vaginitis.htm> . - Oral thrush (oropharyngeal candidiasis)<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/oralthrush.htm> . - Fungal nail infections<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/ringwormnail.htm> . - Fungal infection called histoplasmosis. - Systemic fungal infections caused by Cryptococcus fungi (cryptococcosis), including cryptococcal meningitis. - Systemic fungal infections caused by Aspergillus fungi (aspergillosis). - Systemic fungal infections caused by Candida fungi (candidiasis). - Preventing systemic fungal infections in people with AIDS<http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/infections/sexlife/hiv_aids.htm> or a low white blood cell count (neutropenia). Guest guest
Thanks Tim, I have been on an assortment of antibotics and that is likely what has happened to me as well. My doctor called me this morning and is advising that I take a break from the anitbotics and try propolis and acidophilus. He said the propolis 'a product similiar to honey from bees stimultes the immunce system fighting off harmful bacteria. He wants to attempt to get the immune system to clean it up and also changed my diet so that I don't feed the yeast which apparently is needy. He gave me naftin for the discomfort and will test the semen in a month to see if the yeast infection has cleared up. I will keep you posted over time. It will be wonderful if this works. I have severe hypogonadism along with being diabetic so should this work I will be in a much better place for years to come. I appreciate the links and will keep your recommendations on code red. ________________________________ From: Tim <t.skillen@...> Sent: Fri, April 1, 2011 12:26:49 PM Subject: Re: Yeast infection in Men Hi , I always suffer from fungal infections after antibiotic use, if that what you mean, Thrush, Dandruff, Bad Toe Nails the lot from top to toe, the treatment I have had a few times was a drug called " Sporanox " (Itraconazole) it worked very well the first couple of times, but the last time it didn't seem so effective, I think I may have built up a resistance to it now, so I will have to try another type. here's a snippet about it's use's.
