If you snore at all, you have some level of obstruction. Whether it's clinical

sleep apnea is something only a sleep study can determine. Sometimes it takes

more than one to get it right. Sleep deprivation can lead to a bunch if issues

including low test. If you snore and your insurance will pay for it, it's worth

finding out about.

I have sleep apnea, and low test. but I'm also hypothyroid (which can cause

sleep apnea) So for me it's a chicken or the egg thing, but I'm treating all

three.

pellets about 3 months ago but test levels are still 250 range. After much

research online and talking to a doctor that uses bioidentical test pellets,

discovered that I should have at least 1500 mg to 2000 mg of test pellets. My

endo didn't like my statement that my test levels are still too low and said

getting me up to the range of 800 - 1000 test level was high. He did agree to

implant more pellets and made a statement that we might get up to 20 75mg

pellets but he didn't feel comfortable doing that. Then he proceeded to talk

about sleep apnea. Is this a cop out or does he have a valid reason to send me

to a sleep test?? This sounds like he doesn't know what to do. What do you guys

think?

Thanks. I'm hypothyroid, hypogonadism, hypopituitary, low cortisol,

hypo-everything. I had a pituitary tumor that affected my hypothalamus. Was

diagnosed with tumor and been on HRT since 1989. My testosterone level has

never been above 350 and the doctors keep telling me it's normal. I've just now

figured out that I should be feeling better than I do. Guess I haven't

complained enough or talked to the right doctors.

I made an appointment with the sleep doc that my endo referred me too. It's

worth looking into but I just think it's an excuse to not fix my T level because

he doesn't know.

Thank you

Hank I only have one thing to say about Endo's they are not any good for TRT or

male hormones. Yet if he will give you 20 75 mg. pellets go for it that is

about the right dose. I know a lot of men do great getting 1500 mgs of pellets

every 3 months.

My wife had sleep apnea and there was no way she could put that mask and machine

on her face. BCBS will not pay for this they pay to rent it because there are

so many people that can't use this machine. When I had heart bypass surgery

they put me into a coma for 13 weeks to help me breathe they put this mask on my

face even in a coma my wife told me I would rip it off my face. When I came too

they kept trying to get me to use it. I asked why they said to help me breathe.

I don't have apnea and I tried that dam machine over and over again. I could

not sleep using it.

My wife fixed her apnea by losing 40 lbs.

Hey Phil - I'm finding that out about endo's. I went for a 2nd opinion today

with a doctor that knows more about hormones and is up on what needs to take

place. He happens to be my cousin. He uses the SottoPelle pellets with men and

women and has been using them for years. I just recently found out that he

worked with T pellets. He implanted 2400mg today using 200mg & 100mg pellets so

will see shortly hopefully the benefit. If my endo will still see me, I'll

continue to go to him for everything else. I'll report the benefits as soon as I

notice a change.

Unfortunately, my insurance will probably not cover the pellets but I'll submit

the claim and see. Otherwise not to much cost, $700 ever 6 months. About the

same as Androgel or injections per year.

If his Arimidex is 1 mg. a week taking this much at one time is to strong.

Better to do .25 mgs or 1/4 of a pill every 2 to 3 days.

Well I am not sure what kind of pellets he is using I know about SottoPelle they

are good but we don't have them in MI.

Most of the men I know doing good on pellets get 1500 mgs every 3 months that is

20 75mg pellets. My BCBS would not pay for them and the most a Dr. in my State

will give a man is enough to last 4 weeks at the cost of about $500 to $700 each

time.

The first time I had pellets done it cost me in 2 months over $1500. The if the

first time seeing the Dr. his labs and the cost of putting in the pellets and

the pellets. He only gave me 8 75 mg pellets this only lasted me a month. And

the labs showed me to be crashing after 4 weeks.

So no pellets for me and I feel he is over doing this unless they are slower

acting then the ones I know about.

A friend of mine has tried gel, lotions, injections, and pellets... for some

years now. He is also of the opinion that injections are the best route, if

done frequently enough. But everyone has to just find what is best for him.

The pellets are from Solutions Pharmacy in Tennesse. He wanted to give me

enough to last 6 months. $50 a pellet. BCBS of Illinois paid 100% for my first

implant of Testopel pellets. But those were done by my endo that's afraid of

doing more than 10-12. Will see how it works out with these pellets. I was on

injections for 15 yrs and gel for 6 neither was able to get my numbers up but

both endo's and I wasn't up on what I needed at the time. My endo suggested

pellets but didn't and won't give enough.

I have been up on pellets for over 25 yrs and I never heard of them lasting 6

months this must be some thing new or your Dr. is thinking this up in his mind.

The highest dose I ever seen used is 1,800 mgs. the guys has TT levels one

month after they were put in of 1150 and they lasted him just 3 months when he

tested aging at 3 months his levels were below 500. And he felt like crap I

just hope you keep track of your levels doing this much over 2000mgs of pellets.

Your blood can get to thick and your levels can go to high.

One of the best Dr.'s for pellets in the USA the actor Bob Hope use to see him

for pellets.

Dr. Gambrell

He has passed God Bless him but other Dr.'s at his office took over.

Ernestnolan a member here seen him he would drive out to Ga. every 4 months and

get his pellets.

Just do a searh " ernestnolan pellets " and read up.

I know my doc was thinking about the 10 75mg pellets I had and made a comment

that I seem to use them up. I think that's one reason he increased dosage. He

knows about the blood thickening and will monitor that closely. He is hoping the

200mg pellets will last me 6 months they may not. Will see how long they last.

My doc is very knowledgeable and has been using the SottoPelle philosophy and

Solutions Pharmacy pellets for many years. I trust him but will make sure to

monitor my blood work closely. I'm not sure how many mg he has used with other

patients but I know he has changed guys lives with the pellet therapy.

I'll do a search on Ernestnolan. Thanks!

I wish we have a Dr. that did pellets in MI. like your Dr. But we don't the

Dr.'s here ripe men off giving just enough pellets to last a month and charge a

lot of money for them. Most use the on women and they are getting riped off.

The doctor's charge plenty for the visit. Even though there is no charge to

me directly, I have requested to self inject which mine agreed. Even if I

paid for the test c, it would only be a couple hundred dollars per year.

Testosterone is quite cheap, so they jack it up by making you go into the

office.

Mine charges me $0 per shot. But just because I am not paying does not mean

that somebody isn't. Every office visit is billed. As a matter of principle,

I don't care if I am charged of my insurance is charged, I strive to keep

costs down.

But anyone getting a Flu shot is buying into the Big Drug Co.'s hype to get your

money. From what I read about all this crap and it's crap more people died from

the shot then the Flu last yr. All anyone needs to do to keep from getting the

FLU is to supplement there low Vit. D levels.

I proved to myself that echinacea also stimulates the immune system. I was

intentionally suppressing my immune system with dexamethasone, and I felt

like having a cup of tea. Without thinking about the potential immune system

stimulation, I brewed some echinacea tea. Within about 10 minutes of

drinking the tea, my immune system kicked in.

I never know what to believe when I read about supplements. Now I am a

believer in echinacea for immune system stimulation.

I have celiac disease which is an autoimmune response to gluten. I have no

problem controlling my gluten intake at home, but when I travel or eat out,

then it is not unusual to ingest some, even though I am cautious. In this

case, I probably got some soy sauce, or some hydrolyzed wheat protein in a

soup.

So... when I ingest gluten I know immediately because my breathing gets more

difficult, a rash breaks out, and generally massive diarrhea is about to hit

me. (sorry to be so graphic). When this happens, I take steroids to suppress

the immune reaction, which is unpleasant, but also damages my internal

organs. So, I had been on steroids for two days, suppressing my immune

system. I drank a cup of echinacea, and I had diarrhea within about 10

minutes. My conclusion is that it stimulated the immune system in my gut. I

have never had such a reaction to echinacea alone.
