Absolutely. I too would suggest a full iron panel, which is TIBC, serum iron

and saturation in addition to ferritin, which is storage iron.

I'd hate to think of how bad you could feel if you were bled due to having a

high hemoglobin level possibly just from dehydration and LOW iron.

Does that take into consideration those who supplement iron?

Or check your Aldosterone/Renin I am very low on this and need to take Florinef

..1 mgs. with a tsp full of Sea Salt added to my water all day. I am all way

dehighdrated and my blood looks thicker because of this.

Good point my Dr. says taking iron pills in some people can make there labs for

blood look thicker. I take a baby asprin 2x's per day and drink a good 90 oz's

of water with Sea Salt / day.

With my low Ferritin levels and my age my Dr. told me never give blood. He said

even on Iron pills your levels will fall very low.
