Guest guest
Hey Group, I'm thinking about getting on a beta blocker because the aromasin increases my heart rate and blood pressure. I have an appt with my doc tomorrow and wanted to get opinions on this. Would this be okay or am I just adding another thing to worry about? Thank,s -- Mike
Guest guest
The BP you reported is a hypo BP. Hyper is when top number goes high, bottom low. Hypo is when both numbers go high. Some beta blockers raise rT3 and make you more hypo. Do you know the mechanism by which aromasin works? Guest guest
Barb, Most of the time the bottom number stays at 80 and the top number goes up. I'm confident that the aromasin is sending me into a hyper state but I can't figure out why. Thanks, Mike On Thu, Feb 24, 2011 at 8:52 AM, Barb <baba@...> wrote: > > > The BP you reported is a hypo BP. Hyper is when top number goes high, > bottom low. Hypo is when both numbers go high. Guest guest
Is it the Arimidex or Aromasin or the change in your estraidol levels some people have bad feelings when them hormones change. I am on a beta blocker but a very low dose. •Atenolol 25 mg. 1x/day morning for heart beta-blocker. After my bypass heart surgery they needed to put me under again and do an Ablation so they could get my heart to beat right and take me off beta-blockers. It worked great I was taken out of ICU put on a Therapy ward and the dumb ass's put me back on the beta-blockers. Lucky my wife seen this and put a stop to them giving it to me. All was great until I got released from the hosp. They give my wife a list of meds to get filled and dam if they did not put the dam bata-blocker back on the list but with a generic name. So now I am home 6 weeks on them meds again until I went in to see my Dr. for my TRT check up and he seen this new list of meds and told me to stop taking them or I will end up needing them for life. Well guess what I need them for life not one more goof up to add to the list. If I were you I would not mess with a bata-blocker just to take an AI for lowing Estradiol. When I stopped the bata-blocker my heart started racing big time and they can't redo the Ablation. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/ablation/ablation_during.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: Rouse <michael.hugh.rouse@...> > Subject: arimidex/aromasin side effects > > Date: Thursday, February 24, 2011, 10:45 AM > Hey Group, > > I'm thinking about getting on a beta blocker because the > aromasin increases > my heart rate and blood pressure. Guest guest
There is a ton of info out there about using it. http://tinyurl.com/4nhp64l Co-Moderator Phil > From: Barb <baba@...> > Subject: Re: arimidex/aromasin side effects > > Date: Thursday, February 24, 2011, 10:52 AM > The BP you reported is a hypo > BP. Guest guest
I can't say but I feel if you give it time you should level off I feel it's the change in your Estradidol levels going down and when this happens if frees up your Testosterone that is bound up making your levels go higher mostly Free Testosterone give it a week keep track of your heart rate and BP levels.
