Guest guest
Tuesday 5th of April 2011: FASTING!!! Sodium 144 (137 - 145 mmol/l) - Because I have been eating a lot of soup (seasalt) ? Potassium 3.7 (3.6 - 4.6 mmol/l) - A bit lowish...? Calcium 2.30 (2.15 - 2.51 mmol/l) Chloride 102 (100 - 110 mmol/l) Phosphorus 1.10 (0.75 - 1.65 mmol/l) Magnesium 1.01* (0.71 - 0.94 mmol/l) - TOO HIGH. I am on 400 mg daily. Stop supplement? CHOLESTEROL: LDL cholesterol 4.4 (1.4 - 4.7 mmol/L) - Why is this shooting up??? Could it be yoghurt, sour cream and cheese over the past months doing this to my cholesterol? I DID STOP ALL DIARY the day after the blood draw, cause Hertoghe AND my old hormone doc (whom I saw today) tells me to stop diary. And I know diary is NOT good for us Hypo/AF people, and, well, to be honest Any living creature, really. HDL cholesterol 1.1 (0,8 - 2,1 mmol/L) - Getting lower... How can I get it UP??????? Total Cholesterol 5.9 (3.3 - 6.9 mmol/L Lipoprotein 764* (<250 mg/L) - TOO HIGH!!!!!!!! Homocysteine 9.9* (<8 umol/l) HORMONES: Fasting Insulin 30 pmol/l (18 - 173 pmol/l) - It droppped from like 150 back in December! C-Peptid 304 (270 - 1290 pmol/l) - This ha salso gotten lower.... Not good? PS! My old homrmone doc, which checked me today, told me to watch my fasting blood glucose. He says Insulin has dropped, and that I don't have insulin resistance because of this. He said it COULD be Diabetes Type 1... WHY??? I Don't Eat Carbs!!!!!!!! TSH 0.61 (0.20 - 4.0 mU/L) - Good value for docs who loves to have TSH up and running. Bad value for me cause I feel Hypothyroid without a supressed TSH. FT3 4.6 (3.5 - 6.5 pmol/L) - I feel this is too low. I felt great with a 6.5 back in the day when my Thyroid treatment was optimal! FT4 13.4 (11.0 - 23.0 pmol/L) - A bit lowish I guess. Not a lot of backup for my T3. Estradiol 0.06 (<0.18 pmol/l) - Suddenly this is at a good spot! Why? It was 0.17 pmol/l three weeks ago! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? SERIOUSLY!?!?!?! Is it what I _Eat_ that controls my E2 or what? S-Testosterone 10 (8 - 35 nmol/l) - WHY the drop down to 10 if I am on Testosterone gel!? Was 18.3 nmol/l three weeks ago! I seriously don't get why Total T would drop til the bottom of the range, especially considering I put on the gel in the evening before the blood draw. About 12 hours before the draw! SHBG 15 (8 - 60 nmol/l) - The drop in SHBG from 22 three weeks ago down to 15 today makes Testosterone OK accodring to my old hormone doctor which I saw today. Morning Cortisol 816 (250 - 750 nmol/L) - 45 mg daily instead of 35 mg daily cause of sinus infection. Took 10 mg HC approx 30 minutes before the blood draw. Makes sense it's a bit above the top range. Not that we can trust the range for cortisol while taking HC anyway. VITAMINS AND MINERALS: B12 452 (170 - 650 pmol/L) - I was told to start B12 shots based on this result. NOT only to bring it up, but to correct homocysteine and my bad colesterol, which is really way too high now! 25-OH-vit D3 104 (50 - 150 nmol/L) - Good level at 3000 iu D3 from lanolin daily! Vitamin A 1.6 (>0,7 umol/L) - Was 2.5 in December. This lab does not have a real range, and I am clueless as to if I should take a Vitamin A supplement or not. Vitamin E 46 (14 - 50 umol/L) - Good level at 400 iu daily. Vitamin K not complete (0.1 - 2.2 ng/mL) - It's usually arounmd 0.7 which seems too low to me!? I still wonder if I should take a K2 supplement or not. To prevent heart attacks. Especially considering my bad cholesterol is high, and good is low, and Lipoprotein is high and Homocysteine is high. Selenium 2.0* (0.6 - 1.8 umol/l) - I guess this is ok, even if t's above the top range. I take 200 mcg L-Selenium daily. Zinc 14.0 (9.0 - 17.0 umol/l) Copper 14.9 (12.0 - 25.0 umol/l) - I guess this is a decent (yet a bit lowish?) value. I take 30 mg Zinc Citrate daily. I am SERIOUSLY scared after these blood results today. My main concert is... DO I HAVE DIABETES TYPE 1 NOW? My fasting serum insulin just dropped down to the low range... WHY? Could it be because I have had NO sugar or carbs in the past month? Cause I've really been TOUGH with my diet now! I have only allowed some Atkins bars without sugar in them. Every day. My old hormone doc did tell me that the brain thinks artificial sugar is sugar too, so that can raise insulin. But my worry now is that my insulin first got very high at the top of the range THEN dropped to the bottom of the range! What's going on? HELP!?!?!??! :-( I also worry about the unbalanced cholesterol, and Serum Magnesium. Hypothyroidism can give both high bad cholesterol, low good cholesterol AND high magnesium. Magnesium. The doc told me it's not good to have such a high magnesium. So... Maybe I should quit my 400 mg Magneisum daily? Hertoghe always tells me to take more and more Magnesium cause it's not dangerous, because we pee it out if we get too much of it. (How come my Magnesium value is so high then, I mean, if we pee the excess out???) Hertoghe wants me to take 400 - 800 mg Magnesium daily and says it's good for my heart. ANYWAY. I'll be fine without the magnesium supplement. I've seen above top range serum magnesium even without supplementing it. I guess it's time to do another RBC Magnesium (and Potassium) test. Serum Potassium, fasting, is low. But let's compare it to the NON-fasting Potassium I did ONE WEEK prior to this Potassium. Fasting: 3.6 Nonfasting (after breakfast, soup!): 4.4. The range is 3.6 to 4.6. So, it seems like even if I am low fasting, it turns out perfect after I eat. MEANING I SHOULD NOT SUPPLEMENT POTASSIUM??? Sodium is 144, and top range, because I've been getting more sea salt than normal through my home made soup! I GUESS. I have not been drinking sea salt in bottles for 2+ months. But I have been eating more and more soups with sea salt in them! Guess this means I should keep up the soup eating! Copper is improving, slowly, probably due to the 2 mgs of Copper I am getting in the multi I started a month ago. Selenium seems fine, and I don't think it's bad to have an above range value for it. Being so good against cancer and all. Zinc. Maybe I should take a lil more Zinc!? Seems ok but it's still low range. I get 30 mg's daily plus 15 mgs in my multi. Vitamin A. I seriously ponder and ponder.. Should I take some? I have 25.000 iu caps lying here. Seems like I need it. This Norwegian lab, which I used now, just say that Vitamin A (retinol) should be above >0.7 umol/l BUT this is NOT a real range. However, according to Hertoghes range, which is a real range with a bottom and a top, I am in the very lowest of the range, and actually below it. At Hertoghe's lab, my Vitamin A is 53 ug/dl (57 - 111 ug/dl). So... What do I do? Would it be VITAL to do a new RBC Minerals (Mag, Potassium, Copper, Selenium etc.) test now, and ASAP??? I'd love to hear some feedback on any of this. Hopefully all. But you guys have lives too, so... Anyway.. Thanks for reading and caring! Thanks, in Norway - FEELING HYPO, looking HYPO in my FACE only, but loosing weight fast. Down to 190 lbs now. (I was 230 lbs, at least, when I came to see Dr. Hertoghe exactly 1 year ago, before I started ERFA Thyroid, DHEA, Testosterone gel, low carb etc.)
Guest guest
Your Potassium is low my Dr. has me on Potassium Chloride 20 mgs every other day. CHOLESTEROL I feel it's a joke it's not high Chol. that is bad for your heart it’s the Homocysteine levels your high you need to take Supplements to being this down. Taking Statin Drugs will lower the inflammation in your blood but it can lower other things in your body and cripple you it did this to me. I take supplements to keep my Homocysteine levels down but I take them each one. My wife had high levels and took a multi Vit for Homocysteine and her levels came down. http://www.iherb.com/Source-Naturals-Homocysteine-Defense-120-Tablets/1449?at=0 I take this to keep my Homocysteine Cardiovascular levels down. ===================================== TMG 750mg 1pm and 11pm 2 pills a day. Solary Super Bio C 2 x’s/day 1000 mgs. Total NAC N-Acetyl Cysteine, Selenium, Molybdenum - 600 mg. B-12 (Brain) Methylcobalamin - 5000 mcg lozenges. 3x’s/week. Coenzyme B Complex. P-5-P (Coenzyme B6) 50 mg. I am taking 800 mcg. Folacal for low Folate RBC. BioCitrate Selenium - 200 mcg 1x’s / day morning. Krill Oil capliques 1,000 mgs. 2 with food morning mercola.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ ----------- TSH we need some so the brain can make it's own Thyroid hormones. FT3 if you feel you need more what are you doing for Thyroid do you take NTH meds of T4 only. FT4 is low You said on your last few posts you have GUT problems being sick like this can eat up your Testosterone meds big time as the levels go down so goes Estraidol. Are you having night time wood. SHBG will go down as Estradiol goes down. Try adding some copper I take 2 mgs / day. Morning Cortisol 816 I don't think you need to be on HC meds with levels this high it means your Adrenals are making that much Cortisol. Taking HC meds dose not show up in Cortisol blood labs. I test mine to tell if I am on too much HC my Dr. looks for my labs to be to low meaning my Adrenals are shut down your not.
