Why do all docs go on and on about how important it is to have a high Free

Testosterone Index?

Ok so my S-Testosterone was never higher than mid-range. But my Ibdex was always

in the very top of the range. Meaning my SHBG was always at a perfect level to

divide with the S-Testosterone level!

I always felt great with my high Free Testosterone Index, and my mid-range

S-Testosterone.

Now that I am on all these hormones, I feel like CRAP, my face is ROUND

(fat/bloated), my penis doesn't work that well, and... I just hate my life!

So what's the deal with the Free Testosterone Index? Why did I feel awesoem

three years ago and longer back with mid-range S-Testosterone and a top og the

range Free Teatosterone Index, but I feel like SHIT now?

Every one is different. The big difference is in how much SHBG you have. It

binds Testosterone and makes it unavailable.

Sooo, i go by the Life Extension Foundation recommendation that FREE

TESTOSTERONE should be 25 on the LabCorp scale. This means that your Total

Testosterone could be mid-range and you will still be OK.

Free T is the T that is working Total or S T with low Free T your not going to

feel good. Estradiol when high will make SHBG go high and this binds up T.

What is labcorp scale? In Norway the S-Testosterone range is 6 - 35. what is

Free Testosterone? We have S-Testo and Free Testo Index only.

Still confused about the different names for tesostrrone values.

I will Get testo, shbg, estradiol and more results in about a week or so. I drew

blood after taking 3/4 pump Of gel for 2 weeks.

I Think I Get it now.

My Free was ALWaYS maxiumum!!!!!!

My total was always mid range, and lately, a lil bit lower like towards low

range.

Was it wrong to Start TRT?

S- testosterone appears to be Serum Testosterone which I think is equivalent to

total Testosterone.

In Norway this is measured in nmol/l. To convert to the US LabCorp measure you

need to find the number of nanograms per mole of testosterone.
