Guest guest
When I stopped AD drugs it took me a long time to get my sex life back to normal. The only thing I took was Maca 1 gram of the powder 2x's a day. Guest guest
Thanks Phil. I don't know for sure, but I know I was fine before taking this crap (Zoloft)! If I ask the endo for a full blood panel, then I will know for sure. > > > From: ed <edhill_2006@...> > > Subject: Beginning to think that I do not have a low T problem > > > > Date: Tuesday, September 7, 2010, 11:48 AM > > My libido has for the most part > > remained unchanged (low) after 5 weeks of taking hcg. Guest guest
Dr. no had a post about this recently. http://www.definitivemind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=651 & highlight=ssri Basically, he said whatever caused you to go on SSRIs in the first place is the underlying problem that needs correcting. That you were predisposed to have the problem and the SSRI just helped tip you over. So you have to go back and remember what you were trying to fix when you started them. Anxiety? That could be low cortisol. Depression could be low thyroid. Low thyroid can cause low cortisol. Just throwing out some ideas. Makes me wonder, because I have taken l-dopa in the past, which is a dopamine precursor, and have had noticeable increase in libido. There are some on the PSSD board reporting that they have reversed their symptoms completely by taking Dostinex/Cabergoline for a short period of time. Dostinex is a dopamine agonist. Guest guest
Interesting read. I had anxiety, and this is the reason my doctor suggested I take try zoloft. I don't think I have thyroid problems, because I really don't exhibit any of the symptoms. My wife has hypothyroid and she is always cold. > > > > My libido has for the most part remained unchanged (low) after 5 weeks of taking hcg. No matter what, I still need a little help with the blue pill. I took Zoloft for 6 years. There is a theory that these class of drugs called SSRI's causes sexual dysfunction by depleting dopamine, a neurotransmitter. Makes me wonder, because I have taken l-dopa in the past, which is a dopamine precursor, and have had noticeable increase in libido.
