Guest guest
Hi Michele I'm simply rummaging through Google! I use a little bit of syntax - mainly putting phrases in quotes (" symbol) so that they're found exactly as written (if you aren't familiar with syntax look under 'Search Tips' - 'Advanced Search Tips' at the top a Google page). Sometimes I pick unusual words mentioned on one page and search for that for instance I just looked up 'periostitis ear' - it saves having to look at the same 'cholestetoma' sites for the umpteenth time. I suppose that curiosity is my way with difficulties and I'm generally disatisfied that most doctors seem to operate a 'need to know' policy. The trouble with reading up on cholesteatoma is that more you try to nail it down, the less it appears as a precisely defined condition with a precise aetiology. Phil I am wondering how you are so knowledgeble about c-toma. I've spent alot of time researching since my husband was diangosed in 1999, I used to spend days at a time researching just c-toma but have never come across nearly the information you have. Do you have a particular place you search, or books, etc.? I decided when my husband was diagnosed I wanted to learn everything there is to know about cholesteatoma, but you are by far the one of the most knowlegeble people on this site. Can you guide me to an area or a particular search string other than cholesteatoma? I feel like I need to know everything so that I can be sure my husbands treatment is what it should be. Hello Phil, Well said, I couldn't agree with you more. Thanks for the search tips. Michele

Guest guest
Phil, Im sorry that you didnt get a more encouraging report from your Doctors. You have truly dealt with much more than most of us, and yet you still seem to keep rather upbeat and hopeful. I think thats wonderful. You are an inspiration to us all. Dont ever lose hope, you never know what medical miracles are just around the corner... I too, would be interested to see what these pictures would show, and his purpose for taking them...? Best wishes to you always, Sincerely, Renonda (s Mom)
Guest guest
Phil, I knew you had surgery but didn't know you died. Did you have a near-death experience and see anything about the future you could share? Forgive me for sounding crazy, but it's a personal interest of mine, especially in this day and age. 5x? You are right that there's a reason you're here. Guest guest
The Nurse in ICU that took care of me for 17 weeks would come to my room when she got off work and wake my up to pray with me. She told me never in all your over 20 yrs did she ever see anyone survive what I did. She was very religious and told me I most have had a Garden Angel watching over me. I am sorry to say this but I went under woke up 17 weeks later and don't remember any thing. I did not see a White Light or anything. Guest guest
Thank you ED but no question is dumb yes some times I feel like a broken record repeating myself a lot. But it helps I just can't see other people going through the crap I had to go through to find out what was wrong with me. And when I came here I was a mess and asked a lot of dumb questions and did them over and over again. The dam brain fog does with to us. I got so much help here that I feel the need to pass it on. Guest guest
When I was going in for Coronary Angioplasty I posted at all the forums I worked for and posted at that I was having this done and would be off the web 2 weeks. After 2 weeks and not back people started sending me posts and Emails saying they are worried something went wrong and they are praying for me. My wife even got a call from Dr. wanting to know what happened and he posted about it at his forum. I had so many posts and Emails saying that were praying for me. I feel it's the power of praying that is why I am here. Co-Moderator Phil > From: Barb <baba@...> > Subject: Re: Phil > > Date: Friday, July 9, 2010, 9:53 PM > Wow, bummer Phil.
