That is a tough one buddy. In my opinion you would probably have 2 come off your

TRT completely and start taking clomid at about 25 mgs every day for 2-3 months

and then your spermcount should be back in a good range. I know of Doctor's who

perscribe this method for bodybuilder's when they are trying 2 conceive and it

works. It is definitely possible so stay positive...

Your mileage may vary, but your dosage for both TRT and arimidex seems on the

higher end. A good baseline (which some men may find isn't enough, but it's a

starting point) is around 100 mg T per week and maybe 1/4 arimidex every other

day. Arimidex is potent and should be limited to 1 mg per week total. If you

overshoot on T, you get lots of conversion to estradiol, so it's possible that

you might be able to reduce your dosage of arimidex if you reduced your dosage

of T. Plus, arimidex is expensive, so why take more than you have to?

The specific hormones that a) relate to sperm production & B) decrease when

using TRT are Luteinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH).

hCG is like LH, whereas there is another one called Human Menopausal

Gonadotropin (hMG) which is like LH and FSH combined. I'm not sure if trying

these other hormones individually or in conjunction might provide an increase in

sperm without triggering gout. Hope you find something that works.

I'm just curious, how would it be possible to take 1/4 of a Arimadex. It seems

cutting it that fine would tend to turn it into little crumbled dust. It is

just as effective if taken 1/2 twice a week? I guess that would be a slightly

lower dosage per week. But I like the effects of Arimidex and want to maximize

the usage without bad effects.

Thanks for any help on this.

Good point. Besides extra precision with a pill cutter or knife, it's hard to

divide the arimidex pills much smaller than they already are. Arimidex can be

compounded (which is medically available), and then there are liquid versions

(which are not FDA approved, go at your own risk, etc.). Smaller, frequent

dosages tend to be better in minimizing side effects, as lowering estradiol too

quickly or for too long can be unpleasant. But if you find few or no side

effects from 1/2 a mg every 3 or so days, then by all means, do that.

Are you sure HCG gave you gout how much were you doing.

I don't know much about taking Clomid but Dr. knows about it and a lot of

men see him to get restarted after being on TRT. He will work with your Dr.

Over the phone or you can drive out and see him he only needs to see you once.

Here is a link from his forum men talking about the use of Clomid and you can do

a search on Jump or Restarts.

I use a pill cutter and cut the small pill in half then I stand it on the cut

end and use a single edge razor blade to cut the half in half works great.

Yes one of the mods at Dr. 's has his compounted. I had a very bad time

starting back last Nov. with high levels of Estradiol needed to take .5 to

..75mgs a day to keep it down. This mod at Dr. 's forum name Chilln told me

to try taking my HC med at bedtime he said my Cortisol levels might be falling

to low and this was making my T convert into E2 at night.

I did this adding 2.5 mgs at bedtime now do 5 mgs at bedtime and my E2 problems

are just about gone. I am back on .25 mgs every other day now. Here is a link

to the thread.

http://www.musclechatroom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14851

Here is what Chilln says about compounding Arimidex.

===================================================

Most compounding pharmacies will require a prescription from a doctor, before

they do this.

Once your prescription says " 300 caps x 0.1mg " or " 600 caps x 0.05mg "

anastrozole " from 1 to 4 daily " , (anastrozole = generic arimidex) then they will

compound your arimidex, or generic anastrozole, and they will usually supply the

arimidex as compounded into the caps you require.

My compounding pharmacist was prepared to allow me to supply the arimidex too.

If you have several boxes of arimidex in your cupboard, then you may want to ask

your pharmacist to do this for you.

If you don't have any arimidex stores, then just let the compounding pharmacy

supply the whole lot.

###

A pack of 30 tabs of 1.0mg arimidex will give 300 caps at 0.1mg-per-cap, or 600

caps at 0.05mg-per-cap.

So if your pharmacy chooses to supply arimidex as opposed to generic

anastrozole, then your pharmacy will most likely not agree to only charge you

for a half-a-box of arimidex, and most likely they'll charge for a whole box,

even if your prescription says 300 caps at 0.05mg-per-cap (total of 15mg)

Yes, I am absolutely sure that hcg increases my uric acid levels. I have to

take allopurinol just to deal with the increase. The tricky thing is that if I

have a spike in uric acid while on allopurinol, the gout attack is amplified.

I have seen Dr. , the Issue I have with talking to him is I am having a hard

time getting any prescriptions from his office. I keep getting the runaround.

he may be a good doctor, but he has fired and re-hired his staff about 2 times

in the last six months. I will make an appointment with him if I have to, but I

find understanding this stuff and what my options are is really helpfull first.

I have also found the other issues that have been causing high uric acid levels,

so I am going to get that checked at a different lab than my primary care, since

they are freaking out in general about the whole testosterone issue.

Thanks guys for the heads up!

Bill this sends a red flag up.Gout and elevated blood sugar.Sounds like you are

taking in way too many carbs.Dr Bernstein has some good books on the dietary

treatment of diabetes,He is a diabetic himself, although type 1.Might consider

googling him or go to amazon and read the reviews on his books. This can and

should be corrected by diet.Phil

Both my parents are diabetic. I was starting to get diabetic readings when I

started testosterone 9 months ago. the test backed it off, but recent changes

in diet and increased stress are making the slide into diabetes happen.

My diet has been consumed with food allergy issues. I have trouble

eating:gluten, tapioca, cows milk, chocolate, corn syrup, splenda, nutrasweet,

soy.

I have recently quit garlic and tomatoes--- these two were worse than I thought,

but it also nails the coffin in any type of convenient foods.
