Guest guest
Hi and Welcome, Doing shots every 2 weeks is very old and for most men does not work well. Your put on a roller coaster ride up after the shot only to fall low by the next one. Dr.'s that do this are not up on TRT or don't keep up with whats new. The first thing you need to know is why your low. You ask if you stopped TRT would your levels come back up. Going on TRT is for life this is why I tell men find out why your low before you jump into TRT. If what is making your levels go down is not found and not treated and you stop you can end up even lower then when you stopped. Some men find out later they had a low grade infection or high levels of Iron there are many things that will lower ones T levels. They see a good Dr. like Dr. to try to jump start them self's going off TRT it's rare this works. Going on any kind of TRT will shut down your Testis from making T. The brain sees the T in your blood and stops sending the LH and FSH message to your testis and they stop working. In time they will get very small. To stop this we take HCG 250 IU's the 2 days each before the next T shot every week. This acts like the LH and FSH message and keeps your testis working the best they can. Most men start on 100 mgs / week do labs in about 8 weeks and if there levels are still low best to get your levels up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range if your not feeling better and hold this. Do more labs in about 8 to 12 weeks and if you still are not feeling better go a little higher on your shot say 10 to 15 mgs. Hold again repeat it takes time to get leveled once your leveled. You need to give your body time to undo the damage done from having low T it can take some time. You feel better a little everyday. Also your Dr. should have tested your Estradiol levels if they were high he should treat this get it down to about 20 pg/ml and retest you getting high Estradiol levels down can make your T levels go up some 200 to 300 points. There to 2 main causes of low T one is called Primary meaning your Testis don't work your labs would show your Total T low with your LH and FSH very high. The other is called Secondary meaning your Pituitary is not telling your testis to make T. Your labs would be low for Total T and very low for LH and FSH with a good level of Estradiol say 20 to 30 pg/ml. Go to Dr. 's site at www.allthingsmale.com and read his FAQ's and his paper TRT: A Recipe for Success in this are the labs you needed and why. Also read his HCG update. Men doing a big 200 mg shot every 2 weeks this big shot most of it can convert into Estradiol this kills your sex life gives your ED makes your nipples hard and shore, you feel feelings if panic sweat all day and night and look red on your upper body and face. It is best to do your own shots at home some men need to do shots 2x's a week they eat up the meds as fast as they take them. I am like this I do my shots every 3 days. Stress or being sick will eat up your T meds. I use a 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. needle to do my shots and I shoot into my leg. In this link on how to do shots read the info page. http://spotinjections.com/index3.htm Here are some good links to read about this. Guest guest
Phil: I am two shots in on 200mg every two weeks. Clearly should go to 100 per week i am learning. I don't feel I fully know why I am low. Was told the LH level is fine but total T is low. Should I stop injections now and find a new doctor more up to date and go from there? Seeing a NYC endo but he does not have many male T patients and starting to doubt his skill in this area. The whole - this is for life issue, and the stopping my own T system scares me? Thoughts? Many thanks, ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Thu, October 28, 2010 10:43:44 AM Subject: Re: New to shots ??? Guest guest
I do 50 mg every three days. That way, there is no muscle pain. I just asked my doctor to let me do my own shots. The prescription says once every two weeks. I just buy extra syringes and divide the dose up. When I was going in to the doctor's office, he wanted me to get one large shot every three weeks. That meant a sore butt for nearly a week, plus T levels dropping for three weeks until the next shot.
