Guest guest
Hi , Yes I have been found to be low on tesosterone and have to take a minute dose every day. Word of warning - testosterone is a guardian of oestrogen.........and a muscle builder ....but it is also responsible for hair loss. I would never take anything like this without first being diagnosed by a professional as being deficient. Hormones need to be balanced and you could completely upset the rest of your hormonal system. Hope this helps regards Mandy
Guest guest
Hi I did a testosterone blood test which showed my level to be 3421 pg/mL (range 3000-10000). For a 32-year-old male my doctor said this level was low. However, he is not a an endocrinologist but is just a GP with a particular interest in chronic fatigue. I am weary about following his advice and supplementing... > > Hi , > Yes I have been found to be low on tesosterone and have to take a minute dose every day. There is also an email list called that deals with T issues and has a very large subscriber base. I do T injections weekly and HGH injections the two days before each T injection. I've tried three different patches and injections and prefer injections by far. I recommend a smaller gage needle like 27G to do the T injections (it takes about a minute to inject it all but almost no pain) and a larger needle to draw in the Testosterone(oil based). I use 18G to draw in the T and switch needles to 27G and do the injection. There are apparently youtube.com videos of people doing the injections but most are not comprehensive from not showing the use of alcohol wipes to disinfect both the injection site and the vial before doing the injections to failure to show trying to draw blood into the syringe to check if one is in a vein by pulling back on the syringe. In many years of injecting, I've never seen blood in the needle but a few people on the list have (2500+ members). -- Steve - dudescholar4@... Guest guest
I know you asked about a man, and I'm a woman...but have Hashi's too and my testosterone was way low too and I take a pill from a compound pharmacy that's way too expensive. I had no interest in sex before taking these pills and now I'm totally back on tract with having interest in hubby. I really think those with Hashi's might need to have theirs checked as I know low sex drive is a symptom. This is probably the reason. Took me 3 doctor's before I found one that would test me. Even that one said I probably was fine and then was shocked at how low mine was. In a message dated 11/22/2009 11:52:23 A.M. Guest guest
Was told had low test over a year ago. None of the symptoms really seem to go away. Things seem to have got worst. Lost intrest in sex and now have a problem with ED, which I never had before starting. I also have a problem ejactulating. My reg doctor has also had me on b12 shots. My b12 levels were bottomed out. She found this when she blood tested the first time and saw my test low also. She put me on b12 shots til it raised back up. Just had reg blood work again and b12 is low again and back on shot every week. She did not treat the test problem, sent me to uroglist for that. The lost of interest in sex is killing me. I am 44 and always wanted. If there was porn I would look at it, now don't care!
Guest guest
Hi and Welcome, I pray your not on TRT yet you need to figure out why your low on Testosterone before taking any meds for it. Once you start on TRT it's for life. One thing that happens to men with lower levels is there Estradiol levels can go up very high your brain sees this as Testosterone and will slow down sending the LH and FSH messages from your Pituitary in your brain that tells your Testis to make Testosterone and you can end up low. Men getting there Estraidol levels down can add 100 to 200 points to there labs and there Free Testosterone levels will shoot up near the top of the range. In this link it's about older men but I see this a lot in younger men. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174 Most of us on TRT have problems with high Estradiol E2 levels and use Arimidex 1/4 of the one mg. pill every 2 to 3 days to keep this down. http://www.medibolics.com/ArimidexBoostsTestosterone.htm Estradiol is just one of the things that can lower your T levels there is a long list of things that can do this. The following from this link is a small list. http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=450553 ================================================= According to the Great Smokies Diagnostic Lab, these are the causes of hypogonadism: chronic/systemic illness surgery chemotherapy infections premature aging testicular trauma stress Kleinfelter's syndrome autoimmune damage tobacco and alcohol sleep apnea excessive heat obesity hypercortisolism medications hyperthyroidism malnutrition ---------------------------------------------------- To learn about this problem and the testing needed even finding a good Dr. Uro's and Endo's are not good Dr.'s for low T in men. So get the book " Testosterone: A Man's Guide " or down load it from. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dhpc & field-keywords=Tes\ tosterone%3A+A+Man%27s+Guide Here is a good link about low T. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html If you have labs post them with the units and ranges we can look at them and give you some input on them. Guest guest
Tom we went over this before once your brain sees the Steroid in your blood it stops telling your Pituitary to send LH to your testis and when you stop TRT in most men it dose not start up again. Some men can get jump started seeing a good Dr. like Dr. O and Hardasnails or Dr. but still most are not successful at this. Guest guest
Well what you did was like a Steroid Cycle go on TRT for months and try this your levels can fall very low lower then your 250 witch is very low. Guest guest
Hey Phil, that shows how much long term low t has rearranged my standard of " ok " ... i think 250 is ok albeit not very good. but won't stay at this level for long. if i can't lose the weight and change the dynamic will return to trt. have lost 15lbs shooting for 50 then see if numbers change. i just could not mentally get on board doing this for life until i exhaust all other issues to prove it is not just driven by excess weight. for life is a long time. thanks, john ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Tue, April 12, 2011 2:20:52 PM Subject: Re: Testosterone Well what you did was like a Steroid Cycle go on TRT for months and try this your levels can fall very low lower then your 250 witch is very low. Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I had my testosterone test done on the nhs with a basic sex hormone screen. I am 56, post menopausal. On the strength of the results my GP put me on HRT (estrogen/progesterone). Although my testosterone was low as well he was unable to prescribe it as he won't do anything outside of the guidelines. As I understand it, testosterone needs to be precsribed by a Gynocologist but certainly your gp can check your levels for you. Regards Jane > > I see that some of here have been offered testosterone tests. Was it easy to get them or did you pay? I asked my doctor for a test as I have read that low testosterone can mean lethargy, no libido amongst other symptoms but she told me they only test younger women when they have PCOS and men of course. She was going to confer with her colleagues as it seems it is not on the NHS list of tests they can offer. Of course if I pay I can have. She has not come back to me on either the cost of whether I can have it anyway. My lethargy means I probably won't bother in the end! > > I have seen research into low testosterone and osteoporosis too. Testosterone declines with age and it usually as we age that many problems start. Perhaps because we are all living longer the lack of testosterone is not fully researched. Low testosterone is being researched with regard to males and alzheimers! What about females? > > Margaret >
