Guest guest
Hi Mike  Have you ever had an xray of your spine? sometimes there are naturally deformitities in the vertebrae of our spine that can cause poor posture as well. Which just means we are born with it and can't help it because there would be to much stress if we walked straight as an arrow all day long on these vertebrae so our body cmpensates some what.  just my 2 cents From: Rouse <michael.hugh.rouse@...> Subject: can hypothyroidism cause poor posture Received: Thursday, March 24, 2011, 9:48 AM  Hey Group, Do you guys know if hypothyroidism, or lot testosterone or high estroge ncan cause chronic poor posture? Thanks, -- Mike
Guest guest
Utter exhaustion from anything makes you droop as Phil said, but I think it is quite possible to happen if you have long-term low T. Muscles become weak and atrophied, and there is a huge increase in the chances for osteoporosis in males as well. I have to fight to keep myself standing straight at times. > > Hey Group, > > Do you guys know if hypothyroidism, or lot testosterone or high estroge ncan > cause chronic poor posture? > > Thanks, > > -- > Mike > > >
Guest guest
Science tells us that hypothyroid can and does contribute to low bone density. I just did a quick Google search for the words hypothyroid and bone and came up with a lot of stuff on this. A clip from one: " The scientific consensus is that untreated hypothyroidism causes an abnormally increased bone density coupled with poor bone quality. Guest guest
Which sort of puts a dent in the " high bone density is good and means strong bones " theory, doesn't it? Okay, so regarding posture, I wasn't thinking of bones, but of mineral imbalances. Like how a copper imbalance can cause the lower back to scoop in (swayback). Perhaps bad posture could be a result of something like this. -Nigel On 27 March 2011 08:55, wjj1234 <wjj1234@...> wrote: > > > Science tells us that hypothyroid can and does contribute to low bone > density.
