Guest guest
No you would need to eat so much it is not possable that brand you posted I don't think it's Indolplex/DIM. Order this one men here use it and we know it works. I don't feel men need a base line level for Estradiol when a Dr. will not test it if you don't have the night time and morning wood just try it. http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 Co-Moderator Phil > From: marc200134470 <cfs38@...> > Subject: Stupid Question on DIM > > Date: Saturday, June 19, 2010, 12:21 PM > I am considering trying some right > now, using Phil's 'wood-o-meter' as a gauge until I can > finally get my stinking blood tests done,......oops, guess I > better not as I won't have the baselines I have been waiting > so long for. > > Anyway I will still ask the question. Guest guest
Vitamin Shoppe also carries that brand as well but a higher price. What's the deal with the soy it lists in ingredients?
Guest guest
I got my first bottle from iherb.com, it was very quick delivery. I ordered on Friday and it was in my mailbox on Monday. I just ordered my next, two more bottles from: http://www.vitacost.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-Mens-Health Same product but there price was the lowest I have found so far $26.11 and 4.99 shipping per order. About Soy? Apparently the phosphatidylcholine is from soy. At least that is how I am reading the quote from the label below. " Indolplex Complex modified food starch, 25% diindolylmethane (DIM®), d-alpha tocopheryl succinate, phosphatidylcholine (soy), and silicon dioxide " 120 mg " Isn't " d-alpha tocopheryl " vitamin E? Guest guest
, If it doesn't say Indolplex it isn't Indolplex DIM. Brett Re: Stupid Question on DIM How about? http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU119/ItemDetail?n=
Guest guest
I thought BioResponse basically invented the stuff. I thought they were the original Indolplex and now it is BioDIM. I could be wrong. I emailed BioResponse a couple of years ago and they sell it to Swanson's to use in their DIM. http://www.bioresponse.com/Home.asp ________________________________ From: Brett Savage <brshop@...> Sent: Sat, June 19, 2010 8:24:40 PM Subject: Re: Stupid Question on DIM , If it doesn't say Indolplex it isn't Indolplex DIM. Guest guest
, Maybe tomorrow Phil will have a idea about this. I was under the understanding that it had to be Indolplex or it would get killed in your stomach. If the stuff that you pointed out works, it is way cheaper. It is hard to understand why there is such a huge price difference is it is the same. Have you guys been using this and does it work for you? What I have is made by Enzymatic Therapy but the DIM in it is trademark Indolplex. Brett Re: Stupid Question on DIM >I thought BioResponse basically invented the stuff. Guest guest
No question is stupid I am not sure it's in the indolplex I think this is what helps keep the DIM from getting killed in the stomach. And I don't think there is much in it. Guest guest
If it comes in caps it's not the right stuff it dose not work well for most men. It gets killed in the stomach. If you open the caps and put it in some olive oil in a tsp and take it this way I here it works. The oil gets it passed the stomach but the tablets that say Indolplex work great and you can cut them in half. If your levels go down to low. Guest guest
I use to use this but didn't take it long enough to know if it worked before my Dr. Rx me Arimidex. ________________________________ From: Brett Savage <brshop@...> Sent: Sat, June 19, 2010 9:30:01 PM Subject: Re: Stupid Question on DIM , Maybe tomorrow Phil will have a idea about this. Guest guest
Back in the day I heard from Z to use DIM to get Estradiol levels down but he did not say Indolplex so I get the brand that the Dr. indorst Dr. Zeligs and I used it it did nothing so I pinned down Z on the web and he told me you needed Indolplex/DIM and it should not have other Vit.'s mixed in it he told me he used this brand. PhytoPharmica Indolplex with DIM http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html But now I hear they don't make it anymore. This is the first one I used that did not work back then it did not say Bio. and it was junk. http://www.myvitanet.com/dim-plus-120-cap.html I can't say what if does not I don't use DIM anymore I need something stronger like Arimidex. Guest guest
Brett,......thanks for that link! I am going to order 2 bottles later today and give it a try. If it does nothing for me, or makes me feel lousy, I will give it to you since we are in the same area.
Guest guest
Marc, It works. I am taking two a day. It is best to take with food. A few times taking it on a empty stomach it did cause minor stomach upset especially when I was taking two a day. I waited too long before I ordered more so I have temporally cut my self back to just one so I won't run out till the new stuff comes and I can tell the difference. On just one I am feeling slightly more emotional. I have Arimidex if it gets too bad I can take that. Anyway if you are bothered by symptoms of high estradiol I think you will like it but it may take two if one doesn't do it for you. Guest guest
DIM is poorly absorbed from the digestive track, and worst yet absorption varies from individual to individual and with what you eat. It is fat soluble, but even with fat the absorption is poor. Try dissolving 5 pills in about 15 ml of coconut oil. Apply to the scrotum. Scrotum skin will absorb about 40 times better than other skin. Do this daily and note the results. Parashont quareetz > > Marc, > It works. I am taking two a day. It is best to take with food. Guest guest
Yes your right this is why they came up with Indolplex/DIM it gets pasted the stomach. My problem is men are looking for the best price buying DIM. When I tell them don't get the cheap DIM get Indolplex. They then post DIM did not work. I only now tell men to use DIM when they don't want to get Arimidex from over seas or labs that don't require a script from a Dr. or men in the UK and other country's that they can't get Arimidex. Some Dr.'s will not test Estradiol or treat it. If a guy is going to think he can save money by buying cheap DIM and doing this go for it. I would not put anything ever again on my testis after doing the T patch and trying gel on them.
