Guest guest
Not sure what might account for this besides what you've suspected already. Have you had an Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) blood test to look for inflammation? It is nonspecific, but it can help indicate if there's inflammation that merits further testing/investigation. It's sometimes used when the cluster of symptoms you mentioned occur together. Guest guest
Dave one thing comes to mind do you do gels I had this problem on gels and when I switched to shot it went away. There is some of us that using gels like Androgel or Testim even compounded creams and gels where the T is getting onto the body through the skin. In time this dose not support the muscles and joints in them men and you over time end up house bound I was. The other thing is how are your Adrenals is your cortisol levels low. If so you can have low Aldosterone and plasma renin levels and your body will dump your sodium. Test your morning Cortisol levels doing a fasting blood test and Aldosterone and plasma renin levels. Don't add salt to your food for about 5 days before doing them labs. http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/aldosterone/test.html Also check your thyroid doing TSH, Total T3 & T4 and Free T3 & T4. http://livingnetwork.co.za/hormones/adrenal-fatigue/ If your Cortisol levels are low below 15 then do a 4x's in a day Saliva test read about in the link above. Guest guest
I was on Androgel and having muscle stiffness, soreness in my joints. It was doing very little for my ED. I started shots of T in December and the stiffness and soreness went away. My ED has improved greatly and at each shot the nurse takes my blood pressure and it is going down a little at a time, I had borderline high blood pressure, I am happy with my shots.  > From: Dave <dcbaden (DOT) com> > Subject: Extreme muscle stiffness, soreness, tendonitis > > Date: Tuesday, May 4, 2010, 12:41 PM > I don't think this is due to > testosterone or lack thereof, but maybe something to do with > low minerals. > I know i'm low in potassium, and sodium. > But I'm supplementing those. > What else could cause this? D? Guest guest
My pain was so dam bad I was house bound never went anywhere. After the first shot and it was a big one 200 mgs then 100 mgs every week I felt better with the pain after the first shot that day. It was about 4 weeks I could stand up and walk with very little back pain. Then in time the pain was gone.
