Guest guest
I have use melatonin off and on for yrs. it never did anything for my high levels of estradiol. When I was on gels my levels were not high enough did not know this at the time. I was able to keep my Estradiol levels down taking just one half a tablet of Indoplex/DIM. When I switched to shots and got my levels up from the low 500's to between 800 and 900 DIM taking one tablet did not work. I tried 2 tables and it upsets my stomach big time. So I went to Arimidex I felt much better on DIM and feel if one can take it use it they are better off still it costs. Some things I have found that drive up Estradiol and this is a big one is DHEA supplements. If your labs are in range don't go on this because a Dr. tells you you might feel better. Over the Holidays it drove up my Estradiol levels to 2x's were I keep them doing .25 mgs of Arimidex every 2 days. I had to go back up to 1mg pills a day until I seen my labs it drove up my DHT from mid range to 2x's above the top of range, my Estradiol went so high I was having Panic Attacks and my DHEA-S labs went up 3x's above the top of the range. I stopped the DHEA about 2 weeks ago and now doing .5mgs every other day to keep my Estradiol levels down it's still a problem. So if you don't need DHEA don't take it this happened to Hardasnails too. One thing that I feel helps keep Estradiol levels down is Iodoral 12.5 mgs to start if you do good on this you can try it 2x's a day. Guest guest
I too had E levels go way up when I took 25mg of DHEA for a year. I was happy with how I felt physically but unhappy with the high Estradiol. I believe this caused a big jump in my PSA as well. I will have blood test soon to confirm or deny this. I also have been taking 3mg of melatonin nightly for over a year and it did not keep my E lower. But who knows, E may have been even higher without it. Guest guest
I was just thinking been on DHEA supplements on and off for yrs never felt this problem. I am thinking the DHEA in the past was not the dose they said it was I am hearing this across the forums now it must be a lot stronger then it was back in the day.
