Guest guest
I feel it's your Estradiol levels going up do you have night time and morning wood if not this is it. Get some DIM if your Dr. will not test or treat this. I feel it's a dam long time to be on a starting dose of Andorgel 2 dam months to see how your doing on a dam starting dose that is not enough for most men. Are you sure your Dr. is up on this and to only up your dose to 6.25 grams this is a first on that dose he likes your money. When you wake up wet is your heart beating fast and are you short of breath these are panic feelings from high Estradiol levels. Your Estradiol levels will go up before you T levels on a dam low dose like this. If you don't have night time and morning wood and your ED problems get this brand of DIM take it one tab at dinner time as your levels come down this will stop and you will get some dam strong wood in the middle of the night this means your levels of Estradiol are at there best or what I call the sweet spot. Keep taking this but if your wood stops your going down to low. So stop the DIM until your wood comes back that day go back on it but take less I cut it in half. http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 in this link it's about DIM. http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm If you don't get his brand don't post to me it dose not work there is a lot of cheap junk out there. But what you need is your Dr. testing this from day one and treating it with Arimidex. Guest guest
Thank you for your reply. I am taking DIM 200 mg daily (100mg AM and 100mg PM with dinner). I do have wood AM and PM.. I was fine after 8 weeks of Androgel 5g (no night sweats) Then the exact day I increased my dosage to 6.25 g I began the night Sweats all over again. In a message dated 1/18/2010 10:33:49 A.M. Guest guest
The amount you when up is so low the only other thing I can think of is your Cortisol levels are high and this is making your sugar low. Try eating something before you go to bed. I do peanut or string cheese this will keep your sugar up at night. If this helps have your Cortisol levels checked there is a 4x's in a day Saliva test in this link. I have low sugar and when it drops on my I wake like this I don't feel this 2.5 increase in gel can do this. Here is the link and a cut and paste about this. http://livingnetwork.co.za/hormones/adrenal-fatigue/ ========================================================================== Adrenal insufficiency is linked to insomnia in two ways. 1.If your cortisol drops too low during the night your blood sugar drops too. Your body compensate by releasing adrenaline as an emergency measure to mobilize more sugar. This has the effect of waking you in an instant. This can be reduced by eating high protein snack before retiring e.g. sardines, nuts of high quality protein shake. 2.In early stages of adrenal fatigue cortisol levels tend to rise and if they are high at midnight they can energise you and keep you awake. Phosphorylated serine can be used to lower cortisol at these times due to its ACTH dampening effect. Still the DIM your on might not be the best kind I tell men to use this brand. http://www.iherb.com/Enzymatic-Therapy-Pure-Rip-with-DIM-60-Tablets/12814?at=0 It comes in 120 mg tablets and has Indolplex in it this keeps it from getting killed in your stomach. I have lost count as to how many men read what I say about DIM and still get the wrong stuff. I did the same thing when I first read about it. Guest guest
Thank you again for your quick response. My Cortisol level was tested on 1/4/2010. 24 hour urine test (Cortisol, Free, Urine 11.9). is 11.9 a good reading. I see my Endocrinologist tomorrow. Guest guest
Urine is not a good test for Cortisol all it tells you is what your body got rid of for the whole day. You need to do a 4x's in a day cortisol saliva test to see how your rhythm looks here is a link to the stages of Adrenal problems as you see in stage one levels are up high across the day then as you get to stage 7 your in bad shape. It's sad this is the only test that will show this we can do blood labs morning, noon, dinner and bedtime. A normal test would show you in range from morning to night starting high going low by bedtime. http://www.chronicfatigue.org/ASI%201%20.html Co-Moderator Phil > > > > > From: _gviceman77@..._ > > (mailto:gviceman77@...) > > > > > <_gviceman77@..._ > > (mailto:gviceman77@...) > > > > > > Subject: Severe Night > Sweats > > > _ @hypogonadismhyp_ > > (mailto: ) > > > > > Date: Monday, January 18, 2010, 10:09 AM > > > Has anyone experienced Night > > > Sweats. Guest guest
Well I don't know about all that I tell men to use this because it has Indolplex in it. The Co. I use to use dose not make it anymore. Bottom line it will convert the bad Estradiol into good Estrogen so your liver can wash it out. http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm Dr. tells mem using DIM to take some TMG to help the liver wash out the E's. My heart Dr. has me on TMG. Taking this at bed time helps one sleep some of it turns into SamE. http://www.myvitanet.com/tmgtr75120ca.html Co-Moderator Phil > > > > > > > From: _gviceman77@..._ > > > (mailto:gviceman77@...) > > > > > > > > <_gviceman77@..._ > > > (mailto:gviceman77@...) > > > > > > > > Subject: Severe Night > > Sweats > > > > _ @hypogonadismhyp_ > > > (mailto: ) > > > > > > > Date: Monday, January 18, 2010, 10:09 > AM > > > > Has anyone experienced Night > > > > Sweats. I was on Androgel 5g for > 8 > > weeks > > > and > > > > the night sweats stopped. My t level > > increased > > > > from 230 to 366 in 8 weeks. > > > > > > > > My URO increases me to 6.25g > > Androgel. I > > > have > > > > now had heavy night sweats > > > > every night (4 nights now) since I > > increased my > > > > > > > dosage. Shirt, sheets, and > > > > pillows wet. Guest guest
so the DIM / Indolplex will lower the Estradiol and hopefully stop the night sweats? Guest guest
Very High E2, >40, can cause night sweats. Very Low E2, <10, can cause night sweats. This is the cause of female night sweats. The T:E2 ratio gets all screwed up. If I eat a couple of hours before bedtime it is worse. Without meds my T:E2 ratio is 2:1, with meds it is usually about 40:1 & no night sweats > > Has anyone experienced Night Sweats. I was on Androgel 5g for 8 weeks and > the night sweats stopped. Guest guest
I don't go by T to E2 ratios Dr. Shippen talks about them in his book when it came out and a lot of us here were trying to keep in the ratio he talked about. Most of us found it did not work when the ratio was good we felt bad. I have had a very bad ratio and felt great. Before knowing about high levels of Estradiol E2 I had some bad ED problems, sore and hard nipples, a bad rash, could not reach an orgasm and Panic Attacks. The day I got my E2 levels down I got my night time and morning wood back then my ED was gone and the rest of my problems listed above were gone. And later on my BPH was gone and over time my libido came back. Now I find taking DIM or Arimidex to keep E2 down I can go to low and when this happens I get some ED taking a pill will not work and my joints hurt. Guest guest
Good point but doing this is not easy with most Dr.'s they will not even test it and if one is on TRT and feeling like he is with no wood it's high. Guest guest
Personal observation. When my E2 goes over 40 & the T is below 400 I get the sweats. If the E2 is over 80 I really sweat the clothes, sheets, & bed. When I first discovered E2 & T, my E2 was About 100 & the T was below 150. I am Klinefelters Moasic. I think one testicle produces Estradiol & one produces just a little Testosterone. I have had boobs since about age 13. > > >Very High E2, >40, can cause night sweats. > > > I'm trying to source this idea.
