I have the same question.

I have a bit of water rention and my E2 level is

20 pg/mL 3-70

is there any point in lowering this to try and improve erections?

Would that be unhealthy?

Clint,

How big is your shot if your have this problem it's the Test shot converting

fast into Estradiol. I do this after my T shot. So now I do less every 3 days.

This keeps me from making Estradiol so fast and keeps me more leveled. Try less

try 2x's a week see if this helps.

On you labs it is high but a day after your shot it can be up double that. DIM

works but slower the Arimidex so it can take some time to get your levels down

on DIM.

When I went from Gels to shots I stopped using DIM I needed more and it upset my

stomach.

If you don't have night time and morning wood your Estradiol levels are to high.

First thing I got back getting my Estradiol down was my night time and morning

wood came back.

So today I gage my Estradiol levels by my wood if I wake you and don't think I

had any wood. I check to see if I can get it up fast and that it is dam hard.

If not my levels are going up to high. Now if I don't have any wood the night

before and I can't get it up at all I know I drove my Estradiol levels to low.

So I just stop taking the Arimidex or in your case the DIM until my wood comes

back.

So when my Estradiol is going to high it takes me longer to get it up and it's

only half as hard.

I also need to take a water pill in your case you could take one on the morning

of your T shot.

This is what I take.

•Triamterene/HCTZ 37.5/25 mgs.

Some men on TRT hold water I did from day one.

I have a lower SHBG 18 so if my Estradiol is at 20 I have half assed wood. I

need to keep my levels at about 10 to 15. Only why to know about this is to

test your SHBG with your TT, FT, Bio T and Estradiol. I run this for labs.

Here is what I am have done at Quest Labs

Estradiol sensitive Code #4021

Testosterone, Free, Bioavailable & Total LC/MS/MS Code # 14966X.

Still I gage my Estradiol levels by my wood if I have good night time and

morning wood I know my levels are good.

That is to much your going to drive it to low very fast and miss the sweet spot

and the pill is not in cc it's mgs. So here is what can happen doing this not

on TRT you fall very low then come back up by the next pill. So your on a

roller coaster ride.

I'm sorry, that was wrong. You were asking how much T I was doing. I MEANT to

say the shot is only .5 ML (not cc). Once per week.

Not sure how to get arimidex, if doc feels 35 if " halfway within the normal

range " .

My SHBG is 28 10-70 nmol/L

Before TRT 4 months ago it was 42 13-71 nmol/L

so It is now in the lower part of the range so perhaps

Arimidex is worth trying.

I have tried DIM but could never take it for more than 4 days

because of headaches.

First off the range is for women tell him think about it. Men don't use this

range as a norm. Men need to be between 10 to 30 pg/ml best for most is at 20

pg/ml. If you levels are less then 50 you can get them down with a supplement

called Indolplex/DIM it's sold OTC.

Well some do have a peoblem with DIM so yes get some Arimidex if you can't get

your Dr. to give you it buy it over seas from the ADC.

Get a pill cutter cut them in half the stand the cut end on it's end and cut his

in half with a single edge razor. Now you have 4 .25 mg parts take one .25 mgs

part every 2 to 3 days gage how your doing by your night time and morning wood.

Yes Phil,.....I think I am going to use the DIM first before I try Arimidex even

though I have a scrip for it finally.

Mine was at 52 on the Quest #4021 you like. Since I am not on TRT I am a little

afraid that Arimidex might dump me too low very fast.

Good idea try the DIM first it is not going pull you down so fast and not being

on TRT your not going to make Estradiol so fast.

Phil,

My SHBG has been 16 (E2 38) in January, 12 (E2 31) in April, 10 (E2 41)in July,

and last week it was 13 (E2 22), with OK worning wood, and non existent

througout the day; do I need my E2 any lower with these SHBG numbers; I'm

currently taking T C (200MG) 1.20 MG (.60 ML) once per week and also Ardimex .25

every 3 days. My Test #'s this past week were 729, with free test of 206 (range

46-224), and bio T at 416 (110 575). TSH at 0.64 (.40-4.5). Also taking HCG

..50ML 2x per week for a total of 100 per week; I know that you think this is

alot, but DR. says it OK.

I still have not felt 100%, the draw for the test above was on Day 3 of

injection; does my E2 need to be lower than the sweet spot of 20?

Well. I tried Arimidex. .25mg every other day for a week.

The result is bad headaches that gradually get worse just like I get on DIM. I

must discontinue arimidex. It's not worth it.

Since my E2 is 20 pg/mL 3-70

perhaps Arimidex isn't warranted anyways.

I still don't get any nighttime wood so I am not sure where to go from here.

Still on 5g androgel.

20 mg Levitra still does the job most of the time but on occasion that fails as

well.

Free and total T are in the upper quartile of the ranges.

..25 EOD may be too much. Most guys take it every third day. That means that in

an 6 day period, you're getting .75, where most guys are only getting .5 - so

you're taking 50% more than most guys. I suggest that you try it every third or

even fourth day. Maybe Phil will chime in.

Dale you don't need Arimidex .25 mgs every other day with levels between 10 to

30 best at 20 I feel your feeling this way because your going down to low. Stop

taking it for a few weeks see what happens.

Since .25 MG causes a headache is will try half of that using a razor blade a

light and a magnifying glass I guess but, since the half life of arimidex is 3

days I will wait a week or so first to let all of it out my system and then try

the new lower .12mg

Dale if your to low you lose your wood stopping the Arimidex until your night

time and morning wood comes back is the best way to do this if in a few weeks

your wood does not come back do labs before going on Arimidex again. And if

your on Zinc stop this also.

I am having success. I waited until wood came back. Never had any wood on

the way down. I must have gone low fast.

The wood did not last long just one morning.

I was already at an E2 20pg/ml this is just enough off the sweet spot to require

ED meds.

I need an extremely small amount of arimidex to get wood.

I am cutting the 1mg pills into 1/16ths.

Even with this small amount I go low for about 12 hours then return to the sweet

spot for 12 hours. By sweet spot I mean that every nerve in my penis is alive

and I am aware of it every second of the day and with a little stimulation high

quality erections come effortlessly. I haven't had anything like this for more

than 10 years. It truly is a dream come true.

It looks like I need to somehow measure out very small doses of Arimidex and

take it every day. Any any amount like 1/8th of a pill makes me go too low and

cutting the pills to 1/16 is not very accurate.

Is there any other way to make these doses smaller but accurate?

I though of grinding up the pills and making a suspension and then using a

dropper to meter out a small dose. Has anyone here done this?

Can I suspend it in alcohol like vodka or something or would the alcohol

interact with the drug? Any ideas would help.

This is great news did you try talking say .25 mgs every 3 to 4 days it you did

and this dose not work your E2 levels swing up fast try taking your pills to a

Compounder have them make you .05 mgs pills here is a coyp of what Chilln dose

Most compounding pharmacies will require a prescription from a doctor, before

they do this.

Once your prescription says " 300 caps x 0.1mg " or " 600 caps x 0.05mg "

anastrozole " from 1 to 4 daily " , (anastrozole = generic arimidex) then they will

compound your arimidex, or generic anastrozole, and they will usually supply the

arimidex as compounded into the caps you require.

My compounding pharmacist was prepared to allow me to supply the arimidex too.

If you have several boxes of arimidex in your cupboard, then you may want to ask

your pharmacist to do this for you.

If you don't have any arimidex stores, then just let the compounding pharmacy

supply the whole lot.

A pack of 30 tabs of 1.0mg arimidex will give 300 caps at 0.1mg-per-cap, or 600

caps at 0.05mg-per-cap.

So if your pharmacy chooses to supply arimidex as opposed to generic

anastrozole, then your pharmacy will most likely not agree to only charge you

for a half-a-box of arimidex, and most likely they'll charge for a whole box,

even if your prescription says 300 caps at 0.05mg-per-cap (total of 15mg)

Also Chilln feels men with low levels of Cortisl there Testosterone meds convert

into E2 at night when Cortisol levels are very low. He feels is you add in some

pregnenolone cream this helps. I use Life-Flo 15 mgs cream it's helping. I am

on cortisol meds Cortef HC he told me take a 5 mgs pill at bedtime. I did this

and now I use a lot less Arimidex to keep in the sweet spot and my levels are

more steady.
