Guest guest
Hey Group, I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Can anyone give me some insight on what could be causing this? Thanks!!! -- Mike
Guest guest
Mike, How old are you I wake up every night about 1pm then 5 pm go pee. If I don't drink water after 8pm I wake up dehydrated with a headache. Some nights I can't fall back to sleep so I do this and it puts me to sleep very fast. I have been doing this for about 25 yrs to help with my stress being a Type A. If you do this laying down it puts you to sleep. http://hrop.ucop.edu/employees/eap/relaxation.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: Rouse <michael.hugh.rouse@...> > Subject: waking up at 3 am to pee every night > > Date: Sunday, November 28, 2010, 5:06 AM > Hey Group, > > I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Guest guest
If you're not diabetic, then I would guess prostate enlargement or low aldosterone, which can be a result of low thyroid. I used to get up several times a night to drink and pee and my prostate certainly isn't enlarged. It has gotten increasingly better as I've been able to raise my thyroid meds. I keep two glasses of sea salted water on the nightstand and drink it when I get parched overnight. I believe the sea salt really helps. Barb > > Hey Group, > > I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Guest guest
Heck,....if you find out let me know! I probably pee at least 3 times a night. Not a diabetic, my prostate is fine as well as my PSA, and supposedly I have no issue with low aldosterone. I guess I just drink too much water before bedtime, but I am so used to it that I feel all dried out if I skip it. My eyes even get dry feeling. > > Hey Group, > > I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Can anyone give me some insight on > what could be causing this? Guest guest
I used to have this problem until I started CPAP therapy. Now, I just wake up - probably cortisol in my case, but before, it was definitely a full bladder waking me. My sleep study measured my sleep efficiency at 49% so I was really awake half the time, therefore, my metabolism was up and I was making more urine. Maybe you have something disrupting your sleep as I did. Could be Sleep apnea (increases with T treatment), RLS, or some other sleep disorder. > > Hey Group, > > I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Guest guest
Dave,....you may have explained what is causing mine. I do not sleep well at all, and wake up many times during the night. Only thing is I don't snore, and nobody has ever observed me not breathing in bed. Something to think about for sure though. Guest guest
Thats my problem and I have low aldosterone and take Florinef for this with Sea Salt I drink filtered water and put it in a Canteen 27oz's of water to 1 tsp for Sea Salt I dring about 3 to 4 of them a day. Don't drink water out of Plastic bottles they leach Estradiol into the water from the Plastic. Get a stainless steel canteen and use it. http://www.kleankanteen.com/ Co-Moderator Phil > From: marc200134470 <cfs38@...> > Subject: Re: waking up at 3 am to pee every night > > Date: Sunday, November 28, 2010, 12:15 PM > Heck,....if you find out let me > know! > I probably pee at least 3 times a night. Guest guest
Thanks for that link Phil,....I reuse the 16.9 oz plastic bottles, and refill them from my reverse osmosis system. I had no idea about the E2, and that is one of my problems if you remember. > > > > > > Hey Group, > > > > > > I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Guest guest
Yes stop using Plastics for drinking water or even heating up food. Guest guest
I think it is either an aldosterone problem, diabetes or it could be the arimidex that I started taking 8 weeks ago. Guest guest
You should get a commision,.....just ordered 4 of the 27oz. and 1 20oz. insulated to carry in my truck. I don't heat food in plastic, as I was aware of that already. Always thought it was the heat that caused the issues with plastic, and never thought about water bottles. Did some quick reading and it appears you are correct on that also! > > Yes stop using Plastics for drinking water or even heating up food. > Co-Moderator > Phil >
Guest guest
If it were diabetes, you'd be thirsty and peeing all day. Aldosterone is usually worse at night--something about being horizontal. Armidex could also lower your estrogen, making you dump any excess water you were holding, but that wouldn't only happen at night. > > > > > > > > Hey Group, > > > > > > > > I wake up every night at 3 am to pee. Guest guest
As your E2 levels come down if you were holding water from the higher levels this can happen. I can hold an easy 5 to 8 lbs of water when I am to high.
