No but if on Thyroid meds don't take them and do the labs in the morning then

take them.

She is on no thyroid meds at this point Phil.

I did some reading myself on fasting or not,.....I am telling her to fast

regardless just to be sure. Seems there are differing opinions, although most

agree with what you said.

No big deal, as I will set her up an appt. with Quest for early morning on the

day of her choosing next week.

I've had thyroid problems for 40 yrs and have heard that the most accurate

testing is in the morning, fasting, no thyroid meds after the afternoon before-

especially if on Armour, Naturethroid or other natural desiccated thyroid or

anything containing t3. wait and take that morning's dose after the test.

It is the way I do it even though doctors say it doesn't matter.

Good Idea every time I do labs I fast but make sure she drinks water enough a

few days before doing labs if she is dehydrated it can mess them up.
