As my quest was futile locally here in Atlanta, I bit the bullet and flew to Detroit, and visited with Dr. J. And I am very very glad that I did. He tested for things that my traditional medicine doc never would have (I have major vitamin D deficiency, close to no HGH, cholesterols high despite eating statins like m and m's --which I'm weaning off--, super low T, normal/high estrogen, and due to traumatic events for the last 3 years my corisone level was through the roof, causing reverse T3...all of these things are being addressed). > > Due to extra fat, gels didn't work for me well in the past (i would gain weight, retain water, basically get very PMSy!)....so have been doing once weekly TRT injections. Started off rough, but much easier now. I find it much better in the rump vs. the thigh. > > Anyway, my question; starting as soon as my meds arrive, I am going to begin HCG 2x per week, and also another injection nightly...which equates to 10 shots per week. I'm less than thrilled with all these pokes, but will do whatever it takes to get my life back. > > I want to avoid BRUISING with the subQ injections I'll be doing frequently. I gave my mom and partner lovenox type injections subq 2x per day..and they were left with bruising on their bellies..no matter how it was administered. Maybe that was common with that medication, perhaps. BUT I would REALLY REALLY like to avoid being black and blue if I can avoid it. Never bruised with the muscular injections of T. So...any tips on HCG or other subQ injections to avoid bruising (I would pinch an adequate fat roll, go at least 3 inches from belly button, etc etc)...but they would always bruise. > > Any tips on HCG injections...do you do belly or fatty part of thigh, or??? > > I welcome all input, and thank you. > > Clint / Atlanta >
Guest guest
Clint thanks for posting he sent me an Email and I reply to him. I don't do my HCG shots subQ I don't feel them until later in the day. So when I get up to go to the bathroom at about 5 to 6am I do my shots into my thigh. I use a 27g 1ml. x 1/2 " lg needle to do my shots into my thigh. I never had any pain or bruising. And I feel this shot a feeling of well being about an hour later so doing my shots and my HC,Thyroid meds and going back to bed when I get up at 8am I feel good. Guest guest
use smaller gauge needles such as 31 gauge for hcg. It will have less scare tissue and will be more comfortable. I use 29 gauge half inch for HCG and also ghrp which obviously would are going to be starting. Are you taking care of the trama that has caused you this issue in the first place whether it be counseling or other wise medically? If you do not resolve the stress then TRT will just be a bandaid effect. > > I posted last a while back during my quest for a competent doc who wasn't afraid of " hormones " . I had just remembered the insane bruises the two cancer patients (loved ones) that I took care of got...........it was horrible looking. But maybe it was something to do with the drug. All seems fine! thanks/Clint
