The only time I've ever been to the ER was from going hyper after a blood

draw. I had back spasms, which confused me as I thought hyper would just be

high pulse and high blood pressure. I freaked out and was thinking I had

tetanus! I even felt like I had an infection or fever, but no infection was

found. I stopped all thyroid and then resumed taking some slowly and didn't

have problems.

Arimidex, which lowers estradiol, could induce a thyroid dump if you weren't

using thyroid hormones properly from previously high estradiol levels. I had

a very mild thyroid dump starting Arimidex.

I have thought about thyroid dump! But will that give flu-like symptoms?

Hertoghe did not warn me about a potetial thyroid dump.

I dispise the way the ER handles me. They dont believe I am sick. At all. They

Think it's all in My head like I an a hypocondriac.

Forgot to add that when I went hyper my pulse went up about 20-30 bpm over

the norm. Somehow I thought I'd be 200 bpm or something if hyper before that

episode.

How much higher is 120 bpm over your usual pulse?

All I know is I felt like I was dying from some terrible infection when I

had that bad thyroid dump/hyper episode. Since I'd picked a wart off my foot

a few days before with a nail clipper that had a little rust on it I was

freaking out I had tetanus and was going to die or something. lol I don't

*always* freak out and assume the worst has hit me, but it was so hard to

think straight with hyperthyroidism and when you feel like death!

It felt very similar to how I know I'm " sick " when I get a virus or have had

the flu. I was also really fatigued and run down, like severely

incapacitated and sitting in front of the TV was even too difficult.

Thankfully the symptoms resolved soon after that as I ended up stopping

thyroid and slowly adding it back in and haven't felt that way.

I am usually at 80. Last night it was 65 when the irregular heart beats kicked

in. At the moment it's 100 at the ER. Temp is up from 98.6 to 99.2-99.4 F.

Glad you went to the ER thomas. Now dnt stress, ask questions, and let the docs

be docs! Dnt leave until you feel better. If they find nothing wrong, ask them

to look harder. Get well friend

Phil, they took CRP in my finger and sent me home. I still have strong stomach

pains. The doctor said he though it was arimidex doing this to me. So he would

stop arimidex, then see if I improve. Butthen E2 would rise again. So I would

have to choose a hell!

What do you Think, is this checkup (CRP) good enough for an ER in the richest

country in the world? (Norway)

You can stop the arimidex see if this was it I don't think it is. Like Nigel

says a change in your thyroid can make you feel like this. Estradiol levels

changing can do this to Thyroid.

Let's look at the exact progress of symptoms since taking arimidex:

Friday night, 10 pm: 0.25 mg arimidex, feel clearer in my head 1 hr later

Saturday: Right leg trembling, clear head and no lagging vision anymore

Sunday morning, 10 am: 0.25 mg Arimidex. Both legs trembling, slower (!)

heartrate at 65 but a lot of skipped heartbeats in the evening and nighttime

Monday: Woke up, took my HC/Thyroid/DHEA, Copper, Omega 3, Vitamin C, and ate a

low carb breakfast. Got pain in My stomach after I took the supps. Had diarrhea

that morning. Pain in stomach all day til now at 10 pm, plus flu-like symptoms

in arms and legs, and a slightly higher temp. Took 5 mg extra HC at 6 pm. Right

leg vibrating now. Strong pain in stomach. Feel I hate to pee often.

Wont 5 mg extra HC worsen the supposed thyroid dump?

T.

Flu is something I can believe in. But the doc didn't Think it's the flu cause I

dont have a fever. But HC can mask a fever.

Can nerves cause intense stomach pains like this? Nerves do not cause flu

symptoms!

I am worried about taking more HC cause it lowers potassium.. :/

But I am not upset, I am trying to enjoy the benefits of Arimidex. And then this

happens, today; Stomach pain which is quite intense to be honest, and

flufeeling.

If this is a thyroid dump.. Will it worsen or better my condition taking more

HC? I feel I need more HC now cause of the flu feel. Wont more HC let more T3

into the cells?

Hey, share what the docters know or think may be wrong. Dnt jump to your own

conclusions because they may be wrong and put you in harms way. You continue to

get upset over what you think is the cause or problem, butl et the docs do their

jobs and properly find out.

Diarrhoea can definitely be a result of hyperthyroid.

All I know is HC has never given me an actual thyroid dump. Yet, a few times

I could tell it increased thyroid reaching the cells. Instead I've had mild

thyroid dumps on things from iron to anastrozole.

Anyway, when I was hyper, overmedicated and things suddenly got bad and I

went to ER I had tried more HC. I only recall it making me feel more

" crummy " or nasty. I would wonder if HC only gives you a thyroid dump if you

were previously LOW cortisol.

I got worse after taking my thyroid doses for the day when I had this hyper

episode. What further suggested hyper was the next day I took just a part of

my morning thyroid dose (because I really didn't want to take zero thyroid

as I feared hypo too much) and very quickly felt worse. Hmm, obviously my

body didn't want more thyroid yet!

I am in my bed now. Pulse 100. Temp 99.6 F. BP normal.

Just took 2.5 mg HC in addition to the 5 mg HC extra at 6 pm. It's 1 am now.

Hope i will fall asleep. Total HC dose today: 42.5 mg. Normal dose: 35 mg

I will drop Arimidex and possibly thyroid tomorrow.

Hey, share what the docters know or think may be wrong. Dnt jump to your own

conclusions because they may be wrong and put you in harms way. You continue to

get upset over what you think is the cause or problem, butl et the docs do their

jobs and properly find out.

Good you are home. Go to sleep or take something over the counter go help. What

did the docs say regarding your prossible heart problems? Sleep well ..

Hey are you married? Single?

Re: At the ER

But I am not upset, I am trying to enjoy the benefits of Arimidex. And then

this happens, today; Stomach pain which is quite intense to be honest, and

flufeeling.

If this is a thyroid dump.. Will it worsen or better my condition taking more

HC? I feel I need more HC now cause of the flu feel. Wont more HC let more T3

into the cells?
