Guest guest
Androgel has brought my T-Level to normal range, or 400-500. Yet, I think my testis are shrinking. Tough, ultrasound proved otherwise. I am 40 years old, in good shape otherwise. Of course, I'm very self conscience about this since I'm dating girls. Is this a myth or is this a side effect I need to deal with? If my balls are going to be the size of grapes, I would discontinue its use, which has been good to date. I took myself off Androgel some time ago, and yes I did " crash. " Felt absolutely lethargic! Yet, when I got back on it, felt great from the initial spurt, I guess. Guest guest
You need to decide for yourself if you need TRT. TRT has a lot to do with normal sexual health but low T can have many adverse affects; consider what this means for you. If you were properly diagnosed then TRT is really a no brainer... you simply will not do well without it - as you testified. T levels of 400-500 are not quite normal.... they may be high enough that you are OK with this, but you may actually see greater improvement at higher levels. In any event, the use of Androgel at whatever dose you are on, is having the affect of diminishing or stopping your LH production and in turn your testicles will continue to atrophy. Do a search here for hCG and you will soon find why HCG is used and recommended. Aside from keeping your testicles from shriveling to raisins, HCG will allow your testis to produce there full LH induced array of hormones, and you will likely feel better then on just TRT alone > > Androgel has brought my T-Level to normal range, or 400-500. Guest guest
We all have this problem on TRT you brain sees the T in your blood and slows down sending the LH and FSH messages to your testis that tell them to make T. Go to Dr. 's site at www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and his HCG Update and read this study that supports what he dose with HCG. He puts this out there free for you and your Dr. he is one of the best at this in the world. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/90/5/2595 This following is a cut and paste of a post he sent me to help me get my Dr. to let me try HCG. ==================================================== He probably feels that since you suffer primary hypogonadism (I am guessing) there is no use in adding HCG to your protocol. There are several reasons why this is not so. First, you have not lost all Leydig cells, so any HCG you take will stimulate those who still function to produce endogenous testosterone. This will support testicular size. We should not ignore this aesthetic consideration. Next, if he reads my work, he will learn that HPTA-suppressed (as all TRT patients are to some extent) also suffer decreased pregenenolone levels, which is the first step after CHOL in all three hormonal pathways which begin with CHOL. HCG increases pregnenolone production, and therefore restores a more natural balance of our hormones. Next, nearly all TRT patients who add in HCG to their regimens report an increased sense of well-being and also libido. These are genuine quality of life issues. Finally, I just instinctively do not want all those LH receptors (including those we have yet to discover and appreciate) unstimulated. Guest guest
I'm starting to see some shrinkage too. I talked this over with the wife. She says, that she doesn't really pay much attention to them during intimacy. I think thats true of most women. If you're dating and she notices, the only reason she might have a problem is if it causes her to wonder about sterility. > > Androgel has brought my T-Level to normal range, or 400-500.
