It really seems like this is effecting alot of young active people. Im 27 and am

a long distance runner an avid surfer and do alot of weight lifting and circuit

training. What gives. Why is this effecting young healthy people?

have my exact #'s, as I just spoke to my doc on the phone but most everything is

looking really good. The only thing off is my estradiol which is high, which was

suspected, and my arimidex will be here tomorrow. How long does it usually take

to feel the effects of the arimidex?

T shots sub q on my inner thigh and it's obviously working great. Also also..my

T injection days are tues and fri and my bloodwork was done on thurs for

whatever that's worth.

Hey Shaun...Yeah man it's pretty crazy! I'm not sure how mine got started but

I'm pretty sure that it's been going on for a long time. When I was 30/31 I had

gotten out of shape and decided I was sick of it so I started training MMA/BJJ.

I got into great shape but I actually think that I may have been calorie

deficient for quite a while as I was eating super clean and having trouble

getting all my calories in. I shed a ton of weight and felt good, and got

ripped, but I never felt like my strength was where it should be. I have stayed

in pretty good shape ever since, but got a little sloppy during a recent 7 month

stretch where I had a lot of school and tests for a license upgrade. I was SUPER

stressed out and really feeling bad. I ended up at the doc and found out I had

low T, which I had actually suspected for years. It's my opinion that I hovered

on the low end for years but was athletic enough to counter-act it some. When I

became inactive and stressed out my low T really showed it's ass!haha..That's

all just my opinion though judging from how I've felt.

The other thing that I suspect is this....A few years ago I got out of a 6 year

relationship. I got a clean HIV test and told myself that I'm going to be

responsible, if you know what I mean. WELL....I've always had trouble with

condoms so I ended up finding this " wood " drug called Aspire36. It was the

miracle drug!haha...I used it for about a year and then it got banned because it

was found to have tadalifil (Cialis) in it. After that I would get " Cialis "

online, and had used it ever since. I can't help but to wonder if maybe all of

this had something to do with it?!?!

Phil's opinion is that I over train, which I agree that maybe that's what

started it, but I haven't trained that hard for the past year or so.

Whatever the case, I'm still a little up and down and I think getting my

estradiol down is going to get me more consistent. I've already put on about

10lbs of muscle (I know some is water weight) and I haven't even started

training hard again as I'm nursing a knee injury and was waiting to get

everything dialed in. I'm for sure feeling a lot stronger and much better

overall. It's a pain in the ass to deal with everything, but if I can feel good

and see good results it will be well worth the effort :)

First thing your levels are not 1200 doing labs the day before your shot when

you do shots 2x's a week. So your good 1200 it a bit high if you did the labs

the morning of your shot. As for your Estradiol coming down how high were you.

I was over 90 it took .5 mgs every day to bring down my levels took about 4

weeks. But then I started going to low. If your under 50 don't take a high

dose of Arimidex you can go down so fast your miss the sweet spot and end up to

low. This is just as bad as to high. One more thing you need to be on arimidex

about 5 weeks for it to stablize in your body so your better starting off with a

lower dose and taking your time getting this down.

Here is a copy of a file I made about this.

===================================================

How To Take Arimdex and not go down on your Estradiol to Low.

What I found is if you go to low taking arimidex, it's the length of time your

to low, if your too low say for 8 weeks it can take your body a longer time to

make more Estradiol. Bottom line is to know how not to go to low. Keep a log on

your dose and how you feel men going to low can't get it up taking Viagra. I

went to low when I first tried Arimidex and did not know about going to low or

how one feels to low, so I was low a good 8 weeks. I did not know I was low

until my next labs.

The best gage I have found to control your Estradiol levels is to gage your

night time and morning wood. At good levels or what I call the sweet spot you

get your night time and morning wood back so strong it will wake you up and you

can hang a coat on it.

Most men do good taking .25 mgs or 1/4 of a 1mg. pill, I use a pill cutter to

cut the small pill in half then I stand it on the cut end and use a single edge

razor to cut this in half. A good way to take arimidex is by how high your

levels are. I tested over 90 pg/ml so we tried doing .5 mgs every other day

after 8 weeks my next set of labs showed it did not move below 90, test said

>90. So we did .5 mgs. every day in about 2 weeks I got some strong night time

and morning wood back after not having them for many yrs.

I kept doing this dose and in 8 weeks my next set of labs said <20 back in the

day labs were like this they did not have to good labs we have today they could

not read lower the 20. My Dr. told me this looks to low to stop taking the

Arimidex. The one thing I noticed was my wood stopped and stopping the Arimidex

my wood came back in about 7 weeks my next test at 8 weeks was 24 pg/ml. So we

went back on the Arimidex but the Dr. told me to take .5 mgs every 3 days I was

on this dose not a week and lost wood. This is when I figured out going to low

you lose wood. And the longer your too low the longer it takes to get levels

back up.

I stopped the arimidex right away and got my wood back in 4 days. I then after

playing with the dose for a time found the best dose is .25mgs every 2 to 3

days.

So lets say your labs are less the 50 pg/ml if your take .5 mgs you can go down

so dam fast your miss the sweet spot of your wood and go to low. It's best with

lower levels 50 and under to do less Arimidex .25mgs every 2 days if later your

lose wood when it comes back go to every 3 days.

I have found estradiol is the hardest hormone to control, it goes up or down

from month to month some times I need .25mgs every 2 days other times I need

..25mgs everyday most of the time I do well on every 3 days.

So between wood and labs I do great and so do most of the men I have told this

to. I keep a log on how much I am taking and how I feel. Doing this and reading

back in my log I was able to tell when I was going to high or to low my Dr. lets

me dose my arimidex by how I feel.

Over the yrs. I have posted this story until I am blue in the face.

----------------------------------------------------

Some men go down to low on just a little arimidex so if this happens to you do

this.

====================================================

Most compounding pharmacies will require a prescription from a doctor, before

they do this.

Once your prescription says " 300 caps x 0.1mg " or " 600 caps x 0.05mg "

anastrozole " from 1 to 4 daily " , (anastrozole = generic arimidex) then they will

compound your arimidex, or generic anastrozole, and they will usually supply the

arimidex as compounded into the caps you require.

My compounding pharmacist was prepared to allow me to supply the arimidex too.

If you have several boxes of arimidex in your cupboard, then you may want to ask

your pharmacist to do this for you.

If you don't have any arimidex stores, then just let the compounding pharmacy

supply the whole lot.

###

A pack of 30 tabs of 1.0mg arimidex will give 300 caps at 0.1mg-per-cap, or 600

caps at 0.05mg-per-cap.

So if your pharmacy chooses to supply arimidex as opposed to generic

anastrozole, then your pharmacy will most likely not agree to only charge you

for a half-a-box of arimidex, and most likely they'll charge for a whole box,

even if your prescription says 300 caps at 0.05mg-per-cap (total of 15mg).

There is ingredients in plastics, soap, shampoo, to name a few that mimic

estrogen. I have read too that the stuff they feed livestock also has synthetic

estrogen. So this could be one of the reasons.

Hey Phil,

I'm not sure exactly what you mean in your first sentence. My dosing schedule is

this: mon/wed/thurs HCG 250 units (subq stomach) and tues/fri Testcyp 100mg (so

200 total for the week). Also, I have been doing my test shots subq on my inner

thigh. I did my bloodwork last Thursday at about 5pm and that's the evening

before my fri morning t shot. I have not seen my labs yet, but talked to my doc

on the phone and yes my t level was 1200. I am getting my Arimidex today. I know

you said it took you about a month to get yours in line but in general do you

know how long it takes to feel the effects? My doc said my estradiol is high but

he didn't tell me the exact #.

It's all good with your T levels your Dr. is not upset about them like most

Dr.'s would be. So all I am saying is try to do your labs in the morning of

your next shot before it. As for how long it will take it's hard to say. If

your not to high and you start at .25 mgs every other day you can feel better in

about 5 to 10 days.

When I was very high over 90 I had problems like this for about 15 yrs. ED,

trouble reaching an orgasm, BPH, very slow voiding with one bladder infection

after the other, I was hot and looked red on my upper body and face, I had Panic

Attacks in the middle of the night and did not sleep good, I kept breaking out

in a rash on my upper body on the sides and on the back of my legs, I had sore

and hard nipples, brain fog and felt a lot of fatigue.

All of this over a few months of keeping my Estradiol levels down went away.

Randal,

Be careful with some people the Arimidex it can take you down very fast.

Everybody is different. Example I went all the way down to 6 without

loosing wood or the ability to get a erection. So that works as a guide for

some but not everybody. I was having terrible joint pain that can be aside

effect of Arimidex but was relying on the wood test and didn't know I had

just gone way to low with my E2 and that was what was making my joints hurt.

I tried switching to DIM which work good too, just not as fast. I was

taking two a day for a while because that is what it took at first but I

think later I may have gone too low with that as well, lost my ability to

climax so I stopped the dim and it came back. I am still looking for a

doctor that is willing to test me a little more often until I get the feel

of this. I know when I get to much estradiol I get feeling very emotional

but I have no idea at what level or what test # that actually happens.

Anyway just saying this to let you know that everybody is a little bit

different and how things worked for one person may not be exactly how it

works for somebody else. Try it, see how it goes and adjust accordingly and

get tested as often as you can so you can understand how you feel at

different levels. I am finding controlling E2 is very important but keeping

the right level is much harder than it is with the T itself. Brett
