Guest guest
Apparently Anthem/Blue Cross in CA does not, at least that's what my pharmacy says. May call tomorrow to confirm...
Guest guest
I was told it's not covered when I had to switch to Medco from Caremark my last refill cost me $10 for a box of Novarel. When I called Medco to refill it I was told my Drug care plain changed and it's not covered and told me it would cost me $280 for one box. Then sent me an appeal forum for my Dr. to fill out saying I need this for Hypogonadism. I called my Union Rep about this he told me there is not change in my coverage and will call them. Last Fri. I got the letter from Medco with the forum to apple this. And just after I read this I got a call from Medco saying they were sending me the HCG but my cost is $45.00. They went on and on that is it not a generic so I said send me the generic. They don't have it and I have to pay the diff. between the brand name and the Generic and the cost is $45.00 and they can only send me one month or one box at a time. We went round and round about this I kept telling them last month Caremark charged me a co pay of $10 and I can go to Wall Mart or Wall Greens and get this for $45.00 now in the hel* is this a drug care plain. I am so sick of this crap from mail order Drug plains my poor Dr. spends most of his time talking to them and filling out there forums then he dose seeing people. I don't know what is going on but I am going to buy my HCG from the ADC I can get 10 vials of 2000 IU HCG for a cost of $80.00 not counting shipping. I need to refill my HGH tomorrow and hate to see the crap I am going to get doing this. The thing about all of this is I gave up wages for this Drug plain and it's not a gift from the Co. I worked for so now I am not getting my money's worth. And there is no way a box of 10,000 IU's of Novarel HCG cost $280.00 give me a break. Guest guest
I am now forced to order all maintenance meds from Medco mailorder. I have to have the doctor specify generic if one is available or else I will have to pay the brand price out-of-pocket. In addition, if a generic is not available the pharmacist will offer a suggestion to the doctor to change drugs. You should have heard the conversation I had just about Testim. I was told to make sure the doctor marks the script " substitution permissable " .. I told the Medco " clerk " that there is no generic... she said it has to be marked... dumb as@ I can only see the insurance situation getting worse for us all ... unless your are a congressman! > > I was told it's not covered when I had to switch to Medco from Caremark my last refill cost me $10 for a box of Novarel. Guest guest
You know what is said about this it's the Co. you work for doing this. I checked into this with my Union Rep. My Co. tells Medco this or that and it's not in the UAW Contract but give them a hard time and they will switch or take the generic drug. I am not saying Caremark and Medco are not behind this they are this is how they got the job. I am sorry to say this but this is just the start of this I seen it coming a long time ago. Guest guest
Hi, my mom liked geigy brand lopressor (blood pressure drug) not he generic... the generic was covered... so I just ordered it (the name brand) from mastersmarketing.com in the UK. totally legit pharmacy and now you have to scan and email them copies of your script. generally more expensive than alldaychemist... and doesn't carry some stuff adc does (but carries lots of stuff adc doesn't... but they carry the western brand names, geigy, sandoz, etc and good european prices) I get my wife's birth control pills (same brand, same dosage, 1/3 the price) there and 1 of prescription sustained release non-narcotic analgesic that's 185$ with my insurance in the US (no competition) and available as a generic (since the DRUG is a generic... they don't care what kind of pill base it's pressed into, instant release or sustained release) and I get the Sandoz brand for 65$ a 130$ saving. worth checking out for stuff you want a specific western name brand.
