Guest guest
I can't tell you what to do but if I were you I would give blood this will bring down your levels and you would not need to worry about it. Guest guest
, a stroke isn't something you should worry about.A high HCT doesn't mean your blood will clot any faster or you will throw a clot. The blood is more viscous and the heart has to work harder pumping it.Someone with mild heart failure could progress in their disease.Giving blood every 60-90 days will take care of the problem.Average man has about 5500 ml of blood. So drawing off 1 unit is roughly 10%.Will drop your hct to upper limits of normal.Red cross will love you. Guest guest
When I was on the AG patch my red blood cells were so thick that the blood would not flow through my smaller veins & capillaries. I had constant headaches & muscle aches. I went to the emergency room & they said I was near a stroke situation. They took the largest blood draw needles they had & started drawing blood with a syringe. They would shoot it into a jar. It would cling to the side of the jar in strings, not flow to the bottom. They sent me to a heart doctor & he had the nurse draw more blood by syringe. The each week they would drain a pint of blood for 4 weeks. Now I donate a pint every two months. Yes high red blood cell count is dangerous. I lost a lot of brain cells during that time. > > > > I went to this private clinic, it was my father's treat (almost $200 for a 5 minute chat with a doc and a small blood sample), and I got these results at 10 pm, in the evening: > > Hemoglobine 18.3* (13.4 - 17.0) This is actually even higher than it was yesterday morning. Guest guest
Hi I am no doctor but this is what I did ,had same problem Told me there is really nothing they can do but to bleed you every 6 weeks at the blood donating bank and half the amount of your dose of testosterone shots you do per week. if you do 100 mg per week try 50 mg per week. about 4 percent of people doing TRT get this condition of high red blood cell count. Hematocrit should be below 50 percent and hemoglobin below 17 After donating blood for say 6 months, check your blood ferretin levels ,that is the amount of iron that get stored in your body as donating blood can deplete that. So you give blood to keep the red cells down but at the downside , your iron stored in the body runs low over time > > > > > > I went to this private clinic, it was my father's treat (almost $200 for a 5 minute chat with a doc and a small blood sample), and I got these results at 10 pm, in the evening: > > > Hemoglobine 18.3* (13.4 - 17.0) This is actually even higher than it was yesterday morning.
