Guest guest
Yes, it's me again looking for more info! I saw my chiropractor late yesterday afternoon to have my bad back adjusted and filled him in on what has been taking place with me. We are actually personal friends as well. He suggested that I should check into bio-identical hormones instead of the synthetic ones. Has anyone here been both routes, and is there really any difference? I did find a place here locally that is into that for both men and women,.........it is run by a D.O. though. I have never been to one of them before. Also I am curious about your experiences with TRT and insurance. While I have great coverage, and I am certain they will cover Testim if I end up on that, I have no idea if they will cover bio-identical T, or these other drugs you guys take. I have heard HCG mentioned as well as arimidex and some other ones. Just wondering what your experiences have been since I am just starting down that road. Thanks again! Guest guest
marc all Testosterone is made from Yams or some kind of veg. Dr.'s that say Bio. use this word to get customers. As far as I know there is no synthetic Testosterone that works and that will not kill you. So don't get taken by someone saying there TRT is Bio. it's all Bio. It's the way you take it that is different. Here is one more link for you it's a link about women that become men but it's full of dam good info and covers all the way to treat low T. http://www.ftmguide.org/ttypes.html#cypionate Most insurance will pay for TRT if they don't you can get a 10 ml. vial of 200mgs/ml from Cosceo for about $120 that will last about 19 weeks. Testim and Androgel cost is the highest but you can get Compounded Creams or Gels if you don't like shots for a lot less about the same price as a vial if T. Guest guest
Phil,.....I guess I learned the truth while waiting for a response. You confirmed what I have read though. Seems Testim is bio-identical per se, and it is the delivery mechanism that is patented. I know my insurance will pay for Testim,.....or I should say I am fairly certain. I will find out when I get a scrip I guess. My plan only charges me 7 bucks for a 30 day supply of anything no matter how expensive the drug is. Now if a generic is available for the same med, I have to pay 14 bucks if I stick with the name brand. This just happened with me for the first time as Cozaar went generic finally. I am sticking with what I have been on for a short time at least. I was mainly asking about the other meds that so many of you seem to take to keep your estrogen levels down, and to try and keep the testes active. That I have no idea what they will have to say. Also I have no issue taking shots if that is best,......I could give them to myself with no problem if the doc would allow it. I am not afraid of needles. I am making myself crazy with research at this point as you can tell! ) I simply need to get the final tests done, and get my scrip and use it. I can go from there.
