Guest guest
I can't tell you what to do but PSA being high like this and your not having cancer means some thing in your body is making this high. My self I would not wait until PSA was down to treat this. I get PSA done 4 x's a yr and it's all over the place. My Dr. and I got into it over this I told him he needs to tell me when he is running this test if I had sex the day before levels will run higher then there is lab error. Too many man had Prostate Cancer with low PSA levels your suffering for nothing. Higher levels of Estradiol with lower levels of testosterone can drive your prostate nuts. I got my Estradiol levels down and my Prostate when down. http://compassionateoncology.org/pdfs/TRTHandout.pdf Co-Moderator Phil > I'm 64, with non-insulin diabetes, low thyroid, prostate > issues, and extreme obesity > > (5-11, 275 lbs--due in some part to " bad " meds, and other > things beyond my control). My PSA was around 4.5 about 5 > years ago, and zoomed up to 20(!!) three years back--a > biopsy was thankfully negative, and PSA after 2-3 yrs is now > down around 10. Guest guest
Go figure,.....my E2 is 52 and my last Total T was 323. Just had my PSA done, and it is the same as it has been for 5/6 years as in .5. mine never seems to change which I guess is good. Isn't saw palmetto supposed to reduce prostate swelling as in BPH? If size increases PSA maybe this would help. > > I can't tell you what to do but PSA being high like this and your not having cancer means some thing in your body is making this high. Guest guest
They say saw palmetto will reduce prostate swelling as in BPH but it never did this for men later I found out all it does is lower DHT levels in the prostate not your body. I fixed my BPH getting my Estraidol levels down after suffering from it for many yrs with no help even had surgery. Guest guest
Phil,....I wouldn't know whether it works or not, as so far my prostate is fine. I have an older friend that shoots at the same range as I do that has used it for a couple of years. He seems to swear by it for BPH. He took one of the scrip drugs first, but had side effects and went to saw palmetto. > > They say saw palmetto will reduce prostate swelling as in BPH but it never did this for men later I found out all it does is lower DHT levels in the prostate not your body. Guest guest
Well that would certainly make sense to me since they are both meant to inhibit DHT. > > I have guys posting to me at other forums that doing high amounts of Saw P messed up there Testosterone levels and libido much the same way Propecia dose to some men. > Co-Moderator > Phil
