What could have caused low dopamine..

Could it have been anti depressants I was put on at 22 or is it genetic?

I feel AD meds do this but you can get them up by trying some Preg. cream.

Low pregenolone

under methylation

low catecholamine

low tyrosine

Low testosterone

low estrogen

altered cellular membrane fluidity to down regulation of receptors

low folate or not converting to active form

low b-6 or p5p -

down regualtion from drugs AKA ssri

I know that DHEA has been shown in studies to raise dopamin levels in the

frontal cortex. So, you may want to look into that for you low dopamine

levels.

Also, some of the nootropics have been shown to increase dopamine levels.

Loss of pleasure? Are you feeling depressed / sad / withdrawn / loss of life?

Recently end a relationship or dealing with grief? Dopamine is a nerotransmitter

in the brain. Drug abuse effects dopamine so does mental illness and other

health problems. My advice is to write / type down your symptoms and meds. Do

some individual research and make an appointment with your primary physician

with your words and theories.
