Guest guest
Anxiety and sex life are in most men high levels of Estradiol E2 check this if your over 30 pg/ml and don't get night time and morning wood your levels are to high. We keep it down taking .25 mgs of Arimidex every 2 to 3 days. Guest guest
I would suggest having the E2 checked before going on the arimidex. I have had (although starting to come back) no morning wood and very low libido (although starting to come back) from LOW E2 levels. I wouldn't want to see his E2 level go any lower if it was in fact too low to begin with. Low E2 is rare compared to high E2, but the symptoms are a lot alike. I've been on hcg for 2 weeks now, and within the last 2-3 days have noticied slight improvements in libido and wood. I'll be having the blood tests tomorrow. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed. I had testicular cancer and really thought my last nut was dead. Maybe not. It's only about half the size it used to be. > > > From: bsquared20 <no_reply > > > Subject: Oral Testosterone > > > > Date: Tuesday, December 22, 2009, 12:19 PM > > So, I found out that the Androgel at > > 5 grams per day got my levels up to around 650 from a low of > > 94. Guest guest
Jim glad your are getting some resolution so its just starting to rebound. It should only get better as time go on. 2 weeks is an idea to see where e2 is going. It may take 4-5 weeks to really start to peak. just hang in there bud..Slow and steady. > > > > > From: bsquared20 <no_reply > > > > Subject: Oral Testosterone > > > > > > Date: Tuesday, December 22, 2009, 12:19 PM > > > So, I found out that the Androgel at > > > 5 grams per day got my levels up to around 650 from a low of > > > 94. Thanks all!!! This group is the best!! This is common when E2 levels climb up. E2 out competes T for many binding sites. Get an E2 test and tell us where your levels are. Guest guest
My understanding is that it does not work. Organon's Andriol is probably the best, but still is not very bioavailable. It takes a large dose to get a modest effect, which is expensive. On Wed, Feb 9, 2011 at 2:55 PM, cvictorg <cvgrashow@...> wrote: > > > Does anyone in this group use oral testosterone? Guest guest
anything that has to go first and second pass through liver is not good. Plus oral steroids go right to estrogen through the passage of the liver > > Does anyone in this group use oral testosterone? Guest guest
http://www.andrologyjournal.org/cgi/content/abstract/15/3/212 Journal of Andrology, Vol 15, Issue 3 212-215, Copyright © 1994 by The American Society of Andrology JOURNAL ARTICLE A ten-year safety study of the oral androgen testosterone undecanoate L. J. Gooren Division of Andrology, Free University Hospital Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Testosterone undecanoate (Andriol) is an oral androgen that provides the hypogonadal patient with the unmodified testosterone molecule. It was introduced in the mid-1970s. This is a report on the safety of this oral androgen. Of 35 men originally included in the study, 33 could be followed up for a minimum of 10 years. In them no alteration in the biochemical parameters of liver function could be detected. Upon annual measurements (7-9 hours after ingestion of testosterone undecanoate), serum levels of testosterone ranged between 5.4 +/- 1.9 and 6.5 +/- 1.9 nmol/L (normal range 8-24) and of 5 alpha-dihydrotestosterone between 3.2 +/- 1.8 and 3.5 +/- 1.7 nmol/L (normal range 0.8-2.5). These levels remained constant during the study period, indicating that there is no increased hepatic enzymatic breakdown of the androgen over time. Eight men were older than 50 years at the start of the study. Over the 10-year period in two of them a mild reduction in urine flow was measured, whereas in the other six this could not be demonstrated. Digital examination of the prostate did not reveal signs of prostate tumors. Testosterone undecanoate appears to be a safe oral androgen. A yearly checkup of the patient on therapy with this androgen seems adequate. Guest guest
My understanding is that oral testosterone was never really successful as it causes liver problems. > > Does anyone in this group use oral testosterone?
