Guest guest
You need to start low on the dose of any kind of Testosterone med. The problem is the Dr.'s they put us in a starting dose then tell us to come back in 8 to 12 weeks. With the patch and gels you need to test again in 2 to 4 weeks to see how your levels are if still low up the dose. On shots one starts at about 100 mgs / wk you do labs again in 6 to 8 weeks. I tell men to try to get there Total Testosterone levels up into the upper 1/3 of there labs range most feel dam good there. But going on TRT with a bad Thyroid or Adrenal Fatigue your not going to feel better this is why Dr.'s need to check all your hormones. Dr.'s will not even test for high Estradiol levels and if they are high going on TRT will only make them go higher and your not going to feel better with high levels of Estraidol. Guest guest
Hi Phil So for the UK range, 9-27, would that mean I'd aim to get up to about 20? or even higher? Is there a rule of thumb that might say that would probably say take 10g of gel, or 2 patches? or is everyone different? have a bad feeling i'd feel better on T, then feel bad and the dr would use this as an excuse to take me off it. thanks chris > > > From: <chrisjtaylor46@...> > > Subject: Patches - replacement dose? > > > > Date: Sunday, October 24, 2010, 5:54 AM > > Hi > > > > i am going to see if my doctor will give me a prescription > > for TRT. i have read though that sometimes people can > > be given a patch, say, and feel better for a week or two, > > then feel bad again as their bodyshuts down production of > > T. > > > > If so, what kind of dose would a man of 31 need, say like 2 > > patches? or is it different for > > everyone ? Guest guest
Here is what I have found the Patch is a Big Pain in the A** they fall off when you sweat then when you take them off it leaves a big red round rash that needs HC cream to heal in 7 days you can't put the patch on the same spot for 7 days some men end up running out of space to put them on there body because of the rash. And the glue is very hard to get off your skin. I feel every men going on TRT should start with gels Androgel here I think is called Testogel in the UK. Start with 5 grams test again in 2 weeks see how your levels look if low or lower go up on the dose most men need 10 grams. But you can't start on this much a lot of men do dam good on 5 to 7.5 grams. When you go to do labs on gels take a shower in the morning don't put on the gel go do your labs first so you don't spike up your levels. If you can't do this shower put on the gel keeping it off the area they take the blood and do your labs after 4 to 6 hrs. Guest guest
I absolutely agree. I have been on the 5mg patches for 6 weeks. The first two weeks were great, the next two were fine but these last two have been terrible. I started with a little redness where the patches went, no big deal. But I am now getting guge painful blisters that are like silver dollar burns wherever I place the patch. I am planning to ask for alternatives this week. The patch was great. I had no idea I would have such a reaction more than a month later...seems if you are prone to it it would happen early but in reading the rx info it is pretty common. Choose another option of you can. > > > > > > > From: <chrisjtaylor46@> > > > > Subject: Patches - replacement > > dose? > > > > > > > > Date: Sunday, October 24, 2010, 5:54 AM > > > > Hi > > > > > > > > i am going to see if my doctor will give me a > > prescription > > > > for TRT. i have read though that sometimes > > people can > > > > be given a patch, say, and feel better for a week > > or two, > > > > then feel bad again as their bodyshuts down > > production of > > > > T. > > > > > > > > If so, what kind of dose would a man of 31 need, > > say like 2 > > > > patches? or is it different for > > > > everyone ?
