Guest guest Posted May 30, 2010 Report Share Posted May 30, 2010 Hi Ron & Phil, You are right Phil many who train are Under-Recovered & Over trained resulting in lower T and over time lower Cortisol. Most major muscle groups need about 4-7 days to recover plus need to have the time " to grow " . I personally am surprisingly stronger in " amount = volume " of weight lifted and one max lift if I have not trained a muscle group for about 7 days. I think why world class athletes & others love hGH is because it allows for more rapid recovery & other effects such as those on the brain. Kraemer (U Conn ?) the guru of Ex physiology has written a lot about type and intensity of ex to naturally raise GH and T levels in those who are not on these agents. Best, K. Guest guest Posted May 31, 2010 Report Share Posted May 31, 2010 Yes and I found this out when I started on HGH my recovery was much faster. At my age 66 I work all my muscle groups M,W,and F. I do 3 sets of 10 reps but the machines I work out on are air and I use at my age a lower load not trying to build muscle so to say just trying to keep stronger. But yes I get younger men posted at some of the forums I am a member at where they over do it and burn them selfs out. And as they are burning out not making gains they think they are not working hard enough and push them selfs into becoming very sick.
