Guest guest
There are a few possible answers to explain your results. Depending on if your C is recent infection, maybe viral count,if non-detectable is too low to measure. Is also possible you were false positive to begin with. RIBA test should be done to determine. Also from what I have learned TMA test is most accurate test for viral count. It is possible you did have C and got rid of virus on your own. I had Hep B & C and carry antibodies for B and 3 non-detect test on C. Have never done conventional med's , but alternatives. Am waiting for results from TMA test which takes 80 days to replicate the virus,if it is still alive.

Guest guest
Sounds as if you have an allergic reaction to something and would advice you to see a MD or some other health care provider for it.. Just because something is natural doesnt mean it cannot do you harm. Could be that you are having some reaction with other things mixed with some things as well.. Guest guest
Have you tried a cortizone topical ointment? This will often help itching. This site has a number of suggestions for itching caused by poison ivy. One may fit you need. http://poisonivy.aesir.com/cures.html Dale Help Does anyone on this list know what I can put on this rash before I end up a mental case. My entire chest and neck is covered and it is driving me insane. I swab with alcohol, h202 and apply Dr Saul ozonated olive oil but it does not work. I have had it for a week now, same as my backproblem. Any input would be appreciated. Christel
Guest guest
Have you tried a topical ointment with 1% cortisone? This will often help stop the itching. Another thing you could try, even if you don't like the idea of it, is to use some hemorrhoid medication like Preparation H, which is designed to stop itching and burning from that particular problem. Guest guest
Christel, I have had great luck with skin problems using homeopathy. I'd think a good health food store should have a selection of rememdies if you're interested. Sometimes they can be hard to hit, but not usually. I definitely would not use alcohol on it. Have you tried aloe vera? Could you be detoxing? I've seen this cause rashes. Also, how many times did you try to ozonated olive oil? I'm just thinking it may take a while for it to clear up. Do you have any idea what triggered it? How miserable and frustrating!!!! I hope it goes away soon. > Does anyone on this list know what I can put on this rash before I end up a > mental case. > My entire chest and neck is covered and it is driving me insane. Guest guest
Christel, I put Sonne's Bentonite on my rashes. It really draws out what is causing the problem. If that doesn't work, then I go for the Bach's Rescue Cream. I do have both on my website if you can't find them locally. ~Karma http://loaves-n-fishes.com > Does anyone on this list know what I can put on this rash before I end up a > mental case. > My entire chest and neck is covered and it is driving me insane. Guest guest
Christel, Ayurvedic herbs are pretty powerful. I'll bet you are detoxing. If i were you I completely quit taking them until the rash is gone, then start them up again only much slower and gradually increase the dose. > I don't know either. I am not pro MD for everything thats a fact and I work in the " alternative healthcare area " myself. But I tell you what some of the claims that some of the products are claiming is a bit more than I can handle professionally speaking... As I have said... the FDA is double edge sword but... on the other hand there are a LOT and I mean a LOT of folks selling stuff out here that does and will make one very ill regardless if the y claim " its natural " ... So take arsenic for a tad in full strength and see what happens.. (Remember the old flick Arsnic and Old Lace?) I have a good friend that is in the hospital and god knows thats NOT where I want to end up in but..... she is and is in rehab from strokes.. took someones advice not ours and took some herbal garbage that she swore by and has suffered mini stokes and the like.. Guest guest
Maybe ESM Super Theraputic Lotion. Made of Emu oil. It claims to be a very powerful anti-inflammatory oil that you can rub on any rashes, ears, sinuses, itching, muscles, and will get rid of fungal and pain problems. http://www.colloidalsilversolutions.com or 480-733-7008 and talk to Russ. Guest guest
Weleda has a rash cream with calendula (marigold which is very healing)http://usa.weleda.com/products/product.asp?id=00459 or you can probably find something quick at the health food store. OR just came to my mind, try AVEENO. It's availabel at Walmart or anywhere. It's good for poison ivy and is very soothing, with oatmeal in it. Would probably work and stop that itch, too. of Dewberry Hill Does anyone on this list know what I can put on this rash before I end up a mental case. Guest guest
NEED ADVICE I am weaning from Zonegram (have already weaned the depakote about two months ago). She took 300mg of zonegram: (1) 100mg AM , (2) 100mg PM. I took away one capsule from the PM dose about a 2 weeks ago. About three nights ago, I noticed her kicking her legs vigourously in her sleep (a little seizure activity that lasts about 10 seconds) and it has happened every night since then but only one time per night. Back when the doctor added the Zonegram to the Depakote the seizures actually dissapeared, we went four months seizure free. Here is where it gets confusing. I am trying to figure out: 1) if this is withdrawal from the meds. 2) Is it that she needs the Zonegram in order to be seizure free. OR We have a pool and she just started swimming again. Last year right around this time is when the seizures originally started. Could it be that the chemicals (Baquacil) in the pool are adversely affecting her? Or, because she does a lot of under water swimming that she is not getting enough Oxygen? What do you all think??? Thanks, Tracey
Guest guest
Tracey What is the halflife and also the recommended grequency of dosing of Zonegram? I am not familiar with this drug. When Charlie's meds are changed, it is not to remove one dose of a twice a day protocol but rather to decrease or increase the amount of each dose. What happened when you gave her 50 mg twice a day? mjh In a message dated 6/3/02 10:22:28 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Traceygrubbs@... writes: > > NEED ADVICE > I am weaning from Zonegram (have already weaned the depakote about > two > months ago). Guest guest
Zonegram does not have a lot of statistics, as a matter of fact, the FDA only approved it in June of 2000 and then only for adults not children. The neurologist stated that the " therapeutic dose " is between 300-400mg per day depending upon what the patient responds to. I do not remember the exact halflife of this medication but do remember reading something about 72hrs. Zonegram, as far as I know, only comes in 100mg capsules. Thus I cannot break it in half etc. I can only take away a capsule or add a capsule. She was on: 300mg all together. (One) 100mg in AM, and (two) 100mg in the PM. I took away one of the 100mg in the PM. Leaving her taking 100mg in the morning and 100mg at night. Thanks, Tracey
Guest guest
Tracey I've been known to open a capsule and remove some of its contents to adjust a dose. mjh In a message dated 6/3/02 10:59:05 AM Eastern Daylight Time, Traceygrubbs@... writes: > Zonegram does not have a lot of statistics, as a matter of fact, the FDA > only > approved it in June of 2000 and then only for adults not children. > The neurologist stated that the " therapeutic dose " is between 300-400mg per > day depending upon what the patient responds to. Guest guest
DeEtte, we actually do not use chlorine, we use Bacquacil. It has been out for about 20yrs or better. But I am glad you brought up the chlorine sensitivity, maybe now I can get the thought out of my mind to convert to it. However, i am going to go back to the original dosing of the Zonegram tonight and thereafter weaning even slower. Thanks, Tracey
Guest guest
Tracey In the mid eighties we took well over nine months to wean Charlie off phonobarbital and dilatin, with the support of his physician, by the way. It was successful and he was seizure free until 1991 when all hell broke loose due to a hidden infection in his brain. mjh In a message dated 6/3/02 4:45:57 PM Eastern Daylight Time, Traceygrubbs@... writes: > DeEtte, > we actually do not use chlorine, we use Bacquacil.
