Guest guest
Well I've heard of 'Roid rage but never experienced it. I've been on " T " injections for 3 years and am more laid back and pleasant to be around than ever. I was on the lookout for this symptom, but it never happened to me. With me I used to get crank and irritable when I felt bad and I think I felt bad because I had low " T " . Once I got that fixed, I felt better and my mood improved, and I actually became less agressive. Randy Hoops Springfield, MO > > Hey Guys, > > I have been on T-shots since early this year. Guest guest
Hi alwal.alwal, My doctor says that increased aggression (and mood swings, anxiety, grumpiness, etc.) in males is a sign of high estradiol levels. Rocky Mountain Analytical - an " accredited medical lab " (according to their web site) - says: From: http://www.rmalab.com/index.php?id=9 Apathy, Depression, Grumpiness Our laboratory data show that approximately 3/5 of men with self reported symptoms including aggression, apathy, depression, irritability and an inability to cope have at least one out of range hormone result. It isn't clear whether restoring hormone balance will lessen these mood symptoms, but many men experience some relief from mood disorders when hormone balance is restored. I would suggest getting your estradiol levels checked. If you are above 20, you could probably stand to come down a little (even though the top of the reference range is something like 56). Guest guest
Lets not forget that high estradiol within the cells can appear even with normal serum ranges. Guest guest
No can't say I have see this with me and I have been on TRT 29 yrs. What can do this to you is your Estraidol levels can be on the high side. When this gets to high we lose our sex life and feel a lot anxiety even feel panic feelings with aggression. Do test this I use Quest labs test #4021 the range is 13 to 54 pg/ml your best levels are 20 or what ever gives you good night time and morning wood. Guest guest
I second Randy's experience. I've been calmer now that my chemistry is looking better. Of course, I'm dealing with a lot of different issues, so I'm not sure T is to credit. I was worried about this when I started T shots, so I did some searching around body building websites to see how it is being used for anabolic purposes. Turns out that many bodybuilders abuse T cypionante/enthanate by taking cycles of 500mg / week. That's 5 times what I was prescribed! If you're having mood problems, maybe try looking into cortisol issues. High or low, that could cause you problems. > > > > Hey Guys, > > > > I have been on T-shots since early this year. The information is very helpful and I will discuss it with my endocrinologist the next time I go to see her next week. > > Hi alwal.alwal, > > > > My doctor says that increased aggression (and mood swings, anxiety, > grumpiness, etc.) in males is a sign of high estradiol levels. > > > > Rocky Mountain Analytical - an " accredited medical lab " (according to their > web site) - says: > > > > From: http://www.rmalab.com/index.php?id=9 > > Apathy, Depression, Grumpiness > > Our laboratory data show that approximately 3/5 of men with self reported > symptoms including aggression, apathy, depression, irritability and an > inability to cope have at least one out of range hormone result. Guest guest
Thanks Phil. With your level of knowledge on TRT, I think you are now a honorary doctor in the area of endocrinology. Guest guest
All around the TRT is fantastic for my husband BUT his first symptom of high E2 is bad mood whether it is aggression, cranky or just short tempered. He uses the Wood-o-Meter and his current mood to gauge any changes needed with his Arimedex....He believes he is most calm when everything is in balance...he was his worst with low testosterone very irritable, short tempered and miserable. Oh and he seems to need to run his E2 lower than most so he tries not drive it too low so he takes his shot evey 4 days (works better for him) We know professional bodybuilders that take up to 2000+ testosterone a week those guys are just plain crazy....they alos slam their E2 down to 0....to get thinner skin. There is nothing healthy about their bodies. I have even heard of them taking up to 10,000 a week but still find that impossible to believe...never know though. Guest guest
I've been on t for about 4 months...and the levels are not regulated so well yet but I've noticed i'm not as patient as i use to be...I am a bit more aggressive with my driving...and I feel like i'm acting more " manly " whatever that means....anyway, I'm enjoying this feeling and I don't feel like its at all a bad thing...I feel stronger, more assertive, more confident ....it's all good. Guest guest
My wife(an RN) and I discussed roid rage last week. She said that it's not bodybuilders who experience it - it's anyone on steroids like prednisone. She said that the roid rage is why the titrate the dosage down. We were discussing it in the context of extremist feminist making the claims that some men show testosterone poisoning - which is flat out BS. > > > > Hey Guys, > > > > I have been on T-shots since early this year. Guest guest
My understanding and my experience is that I'm more likely to have a quick, nasty temper when I'm LOW on testosterone. In fact, it's a classic symptom. I wonder if your E is out of whack? Think about women with PMS - talk about rage! Q: What's the difference between a rabid dog and a woman with PMS? A: Not much. My point is that women experience this rage all the time, and everyone just laughs it off as part of being a women. It's obvious that the rage is cycle-dependent, and is due to hormone fluctuation. I suspect that it's the E that's making them freak out, although I haven't researched it. Q: What's the difference between a terrorist and a woman with PMS? A: You can negotiate with a terrorist. So, I'd suggest you get your E checked out as per Dr. Crisler's protocol. Jim > > Hey Guys, > > I have been on T-shots since early this year.
