Guest guest
If I go to the Labcorp website and look up E2 sensitive I get the following test. #140244 Estradiol, Sensitive Synonyms: * E2 * Estradiol-17- & #946; Test Number: 140244 CPT Code: 82670 In other posts on this forum the proper test is said to be 004515 but if I look up this number on the labcorp site I get the following. Estradiol Synonyms: * E2 * Estradiol-17 & #946; Test Number: 004515 CPT Code: 82670 Which is not the sensitive test. Anyone know what gives? I assume 140244 is the right test but it contradicts what I have read here. I also had 4515 run a few months back (before TRT) and it came back almost zero. No I am on TRT, my T and free T are in the very top of the range but my erections are still poor. I think I have high E2 and don't know it from the 4515 test. Guest guest
I think you have the right info - the 4515 test is the standard test, and the other one is the sensitive test. A lot of men use the standard test because it's cheaper, is readily available through sites like LEF.org, and seems to give results that make sense. However, Dr. and others say the sensitive test will give more accurate results for men. If you can do that one, that would probably be the best choice. The result you got before (zero E2) is likely a bad test for some reason. I would think zero would be nearly impossible unless you don't produce aromatase for some genetic reason. But the best way to find out is to try the sensitive test. LEF will do that one, but you have to call them, and it's more expensive. > > If I go to the Labcorp website and look up E2 sensitive I get the following test. #140244 > > Estradiol, Sensitive > Synonyms: > > * E2 > * Estradiol-17- & #946; > > Test Number: 140244 CPT Code: 82670 > > In other posts on this forum the proper test is said to be 004515 but if I look up this number on the labcorp site I get the following. > > Estradiol > Synonyms: > > * E2 > * Estradiol-17 & #946; > > Test Number: 004515 CPT Code: 82670 > > Which is not the sensitive test. > > Anyone know what gives? > > I assume 140244 is the right test but it contradicts what I have read here.
